Telematics
Telematics (telecommunication + informatics) defines the process of sending information between devices or between a single device and a larger network. Most commonly, telematics refers to the black box devices that track and gather vehicular data, such as journey details, speed, and accident reports. Telematics generally combines GPS capabilities with a form of data transmission via cellular network and a SIM card with GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) capabilit.
