In 99% cases you do not need to type a code. Also everything is ordered perfectly, so it is very easy to find a regression or a model that you are looking for. Besides that, EViews has almost all statistic modelling tools that an average user might need. It is thus a powerful tool for the analysis of time series and panel data through its ability to integrate the various theoretical econometric specifications in the social and human sciences. It also has a very attractive and designed interface. > > **Cons**: As a shortcoming, we note that although this software appears to be efficient for econometric analyses, there is still room for improvement in terms of the design of professional extraction commands for the results of the analyses, as provided for in certain standards of presentation of regression tables for certain major scientific journals in the social sciences (érudit, cairn, etc.,). With Eviews, one is obliged to retouch the regression tables to respect the presentation standards, whereas in STATA there are numerous commands on this subject. > > For more than six years now, we continue to use Eviews as an essential tool for econometric analyses because of its ease of use and its ability to generate results from descriptive or econometric analyses in synthetic tables that are easy to interpret.
