> **Pros**: Everything is intregrated into the product for HMI dev, database building, historian, device drivers (supports about 50 different communications protocols). Pricing/Licensing is tag count based with the 1st 50 tags being free (allows anyone to use for free until they discover its value for themselves). Trending is superior to any other system I've seen or worked on. VTScada uses a propriety state-based language based on C++ except code only runs when data points that affect particular code changes making it a light-weight platform. HMI is pretty good and is easy to build parameterized templates reducing development time. Any value show on screen will (by default) pop up its trend when clicked on. Alarm history is built in with powerful filtering options. Has a REST driver that allows access to any API data.

> I've built systems with as few as a 1000 tags to systems with over 200,000 tags and over 400 different devices over multiple networks. My customers have all been very happy with the product except when there have been communication issues (which wasn't actually the fault of VTScada but most don't know better). What is really awesome is that reported bugs are generally fixed within a few weeks. They send out a new update about every 2 weeks which the user can decide to install or not based on the provided changes document. Also has many different levels of user and network security options.
