Reviews of DbVisualizer

Navigation in data is superior
Comments: DbVisualizer became my primary database tool, and I don't want to miss it.
Pros:
I often must navigate in the database's data, and that's where DbVisualizer shines.
Cons:
The code completion is not as good as with DataGrip
DBViz works well for me
Comments: I use it everyday. The Pro version is a must as I often have many tabs open.
Pros:
I like the export functionality the best. It is also fairly easy to set up the drivers and connect. The option for Dark mode is a lifesaver.
Cons:
I wish there was a better way to alias columns in bulk, instead of typing ,a. in from of all of them. I wish there was a word wrap on editor tabs so that if I have a long name for a query file it doesn't take up so much horizontal space.
Alternatives Considered:
A Powerful All-in-One Tool for Database Administration
Comments: My experience with DbVisualizer has been excellent. I use it as my primary tool for database administration.
Pros:
I like that I can work with multiple databases within a single interface. It is fast and reliable, and since I started using it, I have saved a lot of time in my daily work.
Cons:
I wish I could work with a version control system like Git.
Great to use
Comments: Great for exploring tables within databases. Very easy to create a connection to a database, and it is more or less intuitive to use.
Pros:
For viewing tables in a database -- very helpful!
Cons:
My only con about is that I use SAS for data management activities, and it is easier to use SAS/ACCESS instead of querying the database via DBVisualizer, then importing that output into SAS.
Great tool! Easy to use!
Comments: Great! Love using it! Writing scripts help automate data export needs.
Pros:
Easy to use and links great with different databases. Easy to demonstrate SQL to students in a class.
Cons:
Lots of updates to new versions that can take time to install
