Over the past couple of years, we had a small pool of money to test VoiceVibes in some pilot classes in which public speaking was a significant component. Student users included graduates and undergraduates, native and non-native English speakers and students in the business school, humanities, and social sciences. Some of the faculty leading these courses (approximately 8-10) were advocates of the tool, while others were very skeptical of having an AI speaking "coach". Following deployment and use, even the most skeptical faculty were eager to use VoiceVibes again since they saw student benefits while still allowing for the human instructor to guide the process along. The most telling result of the pilot test was the number of faculty requesting that our licensing be expanded.
