> **Pros**: There's a myth in cybersecurity that security compromise happens only from outsiders. That's false, and that is proven here in Proofpoint ITM. As a Security professional working in incident response, this product gave me an approach to understanding and reviewing insider threats and to deeply investigating insider malicious violations related to the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA) Triad. Helps GRC to clear out the framework assessments analysing internal risks and fixing them up to clear out various compliance audits.

> **Cons**: I would look at Proofpoint as a very scalable and flexible product compared to competitors like Symantec and HP Autonomy. There are no dislikes about me using this product. A very well handy product to identify internal enterprise risks. No Cons.

> I especially like Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies that have been implemented and correlate data exfiltration events, Abuse activity, and malicious insider risky behavior over a powerful dashboard to analyze things quickly and precisely\!

> **Pros**: We are using the Autopull feature of TR. Anytime an email is determined to be malicious after it has passed the Proofpoint Email Protection Server, the Threat Response AutoPull module will try to autopull the message from the mailbox of the user. This feature is essential to safe email hygiene. Most of the times the autopull fails is either because the message is already deleted by the user or the mailbox has an autoforward rule configured so the message wasn't saved in the mailbox anyway.

> **Cons**: The Autopull module is part of a complete solution but for which we do nog have a license. In the GUI of Threat Response Autopull all those option are visible, so we only can use a small part of the software, the GUI is very busy with other unavailable modules.
> 
> Normally it just does its work and as an admin you don't have to do a lot. Only for failed autopulls I take a look at a weekly basis.

> **Pros**: We have recently started using Proofpoint Essentials, as it comes built-in with another 3rd party software we use. The admin dashboard is laid out nicely and allows us to easily adjust every aspect to suit our needs. Proofpoint also sends me a daily log of anything that has been quarantined for any user, which is helpful.

> **Cons**: I would have like some sort of "quick start" guide for using the admin dashboard, but I think since what we are using is built-in to another program that's why we didn't get alot of instruction, which is not Proofpoint's fault.
> 
> We gained a greater ability to customize security and encryption for our end users.
