Pretty good tool

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: It has been alright. For the price we pay it would be nice to be able to have other sites on the same account for additional fees. or at least a couple adding pages as our company grows.

Pros:

I like that it works really well with other apps like Etsy and Squareup. It is pretty easy to set up with a template.

Cons:

Editing items in my shop after uploading from Etsy is a bit cumbersome. (it is one and done). customer service for one of my web domains has been poor.

Great desktop functionality, mobile view is lacking

4.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Good, I still use it but I really hope someone from Squarespace see's my notes in the cons section.

Pros:

Square Space to me is still the best tool out there to get a website out quickly, but it does have quick a few things lacking still (see below). It has a good amount of templates that you can customize really easily, but they do all look a bit templately still.

Cons:

1) The mobile view cannot be adjusted. Anything you edit from the mobile view will affect the desktop view. I think Squarespace should take a page from UnBounce who lets to optimize the mobile side separately from the desktop side. 2) There needs to be more ajax and jquery type animation functionality to help the website look less templately. Any type of animation is essentially no-existent outside of galleries fading in and the text underline. 3) I don't like how Squarespace is constantly spamming me to upgrade to the eCommerce plan when I'm not making a eCommerce website. They've even added an error icon next to one of the templates I'm using now. This is very annoying.

The New Standard

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: We needed a way to accept donations electronically at events that occur offsite. Our plan was to utilize Squarespace as a tool in our tool chest of accepting donations. We quickly learned that limiting ourselves to using it only at offsite events was not maximizing the benefits they offer. In the two years we have used Squarespace, we have gone from using it a few times a month to replacing our entire payment system. With companies like Squarespace offering low fees and processing costs while maximizing the value for user, I don’t know how traditional payment processors will be able to compete.

Pros:

Squarespace revolutionized our ability to fundraise. We have multiple events per month that take place off site, either at churches or other venues. The primary goal of these events is to raise funds. We have reached a point where very few people carry cash, and even fewer carry checks. In order to capitalize on the good will we generate at these events and maximize the raised funds, we need to be able to immediately accept donations. Squarespace lets us do that, with a transaction fee that is similar to the standalone card reader we utilize at our office.

Cons:

When we initially began using Squarespace, we encountered some pushback from people who were hesitant to hand their credit card over to us with our phone in hand. However, Squarespace has continually provided updates that address these concerns.

Great Platform BUT Some Areas Could Use Some Work

4.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall I am very happy with the service and my website looks great. I do recommend this product, even with little to no experience.

Pros:

I really did enjoy creating my website with using Squarespace. The initial setup guide is a great tool, to get you started. It was very easy to add custom pages, elements and change the site style. You don't need a ton of experience, as they make it so easy to embed calendars and other files. The domain module is so easy to use, they do make that almost dummy proof.

Cons:

The font system needs work. You have to set your font system in your site style and can only have 3 font styles and you have to use them or you have to change your entire site style font system, but that changes the edits on the website you already saved. While the site style is easy to edit. You should be able to just change the font. I also think the customer service is lacking. They haven't been very responsibe luckily I figured out my issue on my own.

Comments: Overall, I was able to host, renew my website, update and track leads/manage potential customers using the website and periodically make updates to it so I'm happy with it.

Pros:

Easy to use, navigate and to setup. I've been using Squarespace for about 6 years now. I built a website from the ground up using their tools, was able to change up the background, UI, design easily with the tools. Also, I was able to add a page with password protection and its an amazing product.

Cons:

I guess with every website design template, there are limitation was our imagination. I just wish I was able to setup a forum for discussion or a subscription based type of product but I don't think they have such option.

My experience with Squarespace

4.0 2 months ago

Comments: All in all, Squarespace is a great choice for those who want an attractive, easy-to-manage website with great, powerful e-commerce and marketing tools. If you're interested in having a flawless design with built-in functionality, it could be a solid choice for your business.

Pros:

I like its focus on sleek, minimalist design, while offering an easy-to-use interface and a host of built-in tools for content management, marketing, and online sales.

Cons:

Squarespace tends to be more expensive compared to other platforms, especially if you need to add e-commerce functionality or some advanced features. While you can modify the templates, it's not as flexible as other platforms that allow more control over code and functionality.

Squarespace Design

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Overall, my experience with Squarespace has been very positive. I used the platform to create my personal website, it offers stunning design templates, while making it easy to create. It certainly aided with my time management. While it can be costly its ease of use and integrated features make it a great choice for creating a polished online presence.

Pros:

I appreciate Squarespace's design templates and how easy it is to customize them. The platform is easy to use even for those without coding experience, and makes it simple to create a professional-looking website quickly. The all-in-one approach, including hosting and domain management, is also a huge plus.

Cons:

Yes, it is simple to use but one downside of Squarespace is its limited flexibility for advanced customizations, especially if you need more complex features. The pricing can be a bit high compared to other platforms, particularly for small businesses or personal projects.

Great tool for STARTING a business

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Overall, Squarespace is a great way to start a business and integrate a simple web site at an affordable price. Depending on business growth and complexities related to products, coupons, etc. this can become a challenge for an advanced user/business.

Pros:

Squarespace is an easy setup and provides simple ways to begin collecting payments from customers. The building of a basic web site is quick for a beginner with simple tools in the UI for making update a breeze.

Cons:

Once a business grows and wants to build more complex functionality with their web site, Squarespace begins to become much more challenging. The limitations provided by having a simple UI for basic users then hinders advanced users to grow their site and continue using the platform.

Squarespace Is NOT for Squares

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: I have really liked hosting my website on Squarespace. Despite their recent price increase, I think it is totally worth it. I can host my site with all the Google, payment, and social-media integrations I need/want.
Also their templates are a great starting point, and once you get use to how to edit and organize the webpages, it becomes very intuitive.

Pros:

It's integration of all things needed to fully set up a functional website.

Cons:

Editing the site is a bit counterintuitive at first.

I couldn't be happier with Squarespace as a web-building platform

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: This platform was a winner from the start. I had done trials of a few other builders, and I caught on to this one the fastest. It's extremely intuitive, and they have tons of beautiful virtually plug-and-play templates that anyone can use to make a stunning website.

Pros:

Squarespace is so easy to use. Although having a design background helps, you don't have to have one to understand and use this platform. Having said that, it's also an incredibly powerful tool, with comprehensive features.

Cons:

As I have found with any website-building tool, there always seem to be a handful of features that seem like no brainers, but aren't offered. I found this to be the case when I wanted a scrolling carousel of images. But, there are always work arounds, and although it was a bit more work, I figured out how to use the tools offered to get close to my desired result.

2 years using squarespace, still loving it

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Very satisfied, even though I can get my website free with my booking software I prefer the formatting options I get with squarespace and love how fast the change between pages loads. And it integrates perfectly with my hire booking software, so no plans to look elsewhere.

Pros:

Squarespace offers a widely versatile range of pre formatted templates as well as easy to use formatting. Its therefore suited to website designers skillset level (beginner/intermediate/advanced). I was able to design my website from blank canvas quite easily using their recommended design combinations as reference.

Cons:

I do wish I could upload my font files to enable unique fonts and more variety.

Squarespace: Website builder with awesome features

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: My experience has been a very positive one because it is very easy to use and design. Squarespace makes building a website and maintaining it very convenient. Including handling hosting and and SEO for the website. And all of this can be done without coding experience. The websites too can be very responsive and good too for E-commerce websites.

Pros:

I like that I can actually design a website without the need to do any coding. The templates are also very beautiful.

Cons:

It is a little bit costly compared to other website builders I am aware of.
