Comments: I love Phocas reporting and this has helped our branches and our operations in a big way, and we can see our company performance as a whole at once. No need to check different reports to analyse data - Use Phocas -all under one umbrella.

Pros:

Phocas software is highly User firendly than compared to Microsoft Power BI. We were using PBI and attracted to buy Phocas immediately after first demo. The software is fantastic but not necessary for small organisations.

Cons:

Phoca software is good in all aspecrts but the pricing needs to be revised to accommodate small organisations with minimum modules.

I feel like it can be a useful tool, if you are in the know!

Comments: I would suggest a simple user guide to come up the first time you log in, so you are aware of the real potential of this software.

Pros:

Once you have been shown how to use this software, it can be a very useful tool, especially for us as CEs who aren't directly involved with the Sales side of the business.

Cons:

Unless someone is a pro on Phocas, it is difficult to navigate your way around it and completely understand how to use it.

Comments: I have had a great experience with Phocas Software. The user interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to access and understand the various data points. Phocas is the simplest dashboard and BI tool

Phocas Changed Everything for US.

Comments: As I said in my Pros section, we are making data driven decisions now and our sales reflect that. Also, their customer service team is top notch and more on the ball than any other software company I have dealt with in recent years.

Pros:

Before we migrated over to Phocas we were using MITS which was very clunky and very slow. Because of these reasons most of us never really touched it. That meant that we weren't utilizing data when making decisions and more using our gut. Since implementing Phocas our decision making has been data driven and we are making smart choices and it shows in our sales.

Cons:

The only con I can think of had really nothing to do with Phocas. We had a rough time when we switched ERP systems. But the issue was with the ERP company and not Phocas.

Comments: Overall we have had a positive experience with the software.

Pros:

Very intuitive to navigate and manipulate data. Reports are good.

Cons:

Have had some issues with the data syncing.

Great tool for BI and KPI management

Pros:

We use Phocas for all our reporting across the business. The ability to make any dashboard visible on an external link has allowed us to use it for our wall board reporting throughout the business - making the numbers visual has helped to make them understandable. Using Phocas for reporting on spend breakdown couldn't be easier, and beats using alternatives like excel or similar!

Cons:

I guess if there's one thing Phocas could do better, that is modernise the dashboard graphics - the options feel quite restrictive.

Phocas - Great Tool, Great customer service

Phocas is easy to use providing self service to users. This reduces the workload on IT

Cons:

Data integration can get complicated over time. This is really down to how we have added data rather than an issue with Phocas

Good product, not cheap, Service level strongly depends on the contact person

The speed and the web based working aspect.

Cons:

Depending on the contact person. If this person is on vacation or sick, there is only a substitute for emergencies. But there are nearly weekly issues to clarify.

A great product with an excellent, dynamic and knowledgeable support team.

Comments: It's really quick to get the information we need. When we implemented it we presumed the sales team would spend hours on it. They don't. They get the information they need within seconds and can quickly move on to do their actual jobs. It's an extremely powerful tool.Some functions in the business don't use it very much but that's because we didn't collect data before because we couldn't analyse it. Now that we can analyse it we need to collect a bank of data so we can see what we want to do with it. Chicken and egg.

Pros:

The screens are easy to navigate and there aren't lots of clicks to get the information you need.I particularly like how easy it is to create Dashboards and delve deeper into dashboard data.The supporting team are excellent too. After a bumpy handover to BAU Phocas have completely turned it around. Their team are engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. I also know that, if I can explain the data composite I'm looking for, the team will find a way of getting it.

Cons:

It isn't so easy for less skilled team members to use- those who don't understand databases, don't have very good computer skills or only use it occasionally.I'd like it to be easier to import simple data such as a spreadsheet.

Phocas is a masterful piece of software

Comments: It's seriously good. Sometimes the customer service is slightly slow and I don't always hear back straight away but in the main it's good!

Pros:

Phocas is one of the best CRM / data analyst tools in the market for people selling multiple product lines to multiple customers. The ability to track and measure the success of individual products and product groups to a selection of customers or sectors is absolutely brilliant!

Cons:

The software is slightly clunky still and would benefit from more work on the ease of use side, ie. a better search function

Phocas is a necessity!

Comments: Fantastic. [SENSITIVE CONTENT], our Customer Success Consultant is amazing. She's readily available and knows exactly what she is doing. Their support staff is also very accommodating and knowledgeable. We've dealt with other software companies and they take their time and treat you like they don't need your business and
over charge for routine services. Phocas is a true partner. A couple projects that were able to be successful with the use of Phocas is: Customer Stratification, Gap Analysis, Daily Inventory Analysis (Which was huge for this last year) and our Dead Stock process.

Pros:

The ease of use. As an admin of Phocas, it was very easy to get our staff onboarded and very comfortable with day to day usage. If the staff isn't going to use the tool, then it's worthless no matter how great the data is.

Cons:

Phocas is great at listening to our issues and roll out timely updates to add new features or fix issues.

Comments: Overall we are very happy with this product. It has opened the door for getting information to our teams much faster and it also created a new full time position for data analysis! The flexibility of being able to create our own databases, & adding to existing databases has increased our ability to share information to our teams in a easy to view format instead of sending spreadsheets that some people did not look at.

Pros:

It is very easy to use! I can show someone the basics in 5 to 10 minutes and they are off and running creating favorites and dashboards. The software is updated every month and their support and documentation is outstanding. The product gives us the information we need faster than doing it in our ERP system. With a couple of clicks you can analyze you sales data and then quickly change views to look at the data in a completely different way. It very robust in all the options you have. The company is developing based on their customer needs, you can tell that they all want to help us achieve success with this product.

Cons:

This is hard to say because their are few cons. We have requested enhancements and we have some support issues that are submitted. But we have no visibility , (web portal), to review what we already submitted. It would be nice to have a support portal to check open cases and enhancements we have submitted.

Comments: I speak for all at 3E when I say this product is used daily and relied upon to be the source of good data for analytics from our ERP System.

Pros:

Ease of use. Depth of its capabilities. Intuitive - Minimal Training needed for general user.

Cons:

I wish I had more time to learn the product backend features.

Hindsight is 20/20, Phocas brings it to your Dashboard!

Comments: From day one, the support we have felt from our primary internal advocate has allowed us to venture further and deeper into the expanse of Phocas. I am taking this individual's deliverables as a testimony to the support being shared by the Phocas Team.

Pros:

The apparently limitless possibilities. With our custom insulation solutions business, our metrics and analytics are unique, and Phocas has kept up, nay, surpassed our demands!

Cons:

There is not a con to the software, the con comes with my time being able to dig in and leverage all of the cool factors. My analogy: my car has many special cool features, but most of the time, I simply get in it and drive. Need to stop, read the manual, and truly put it (and expect excellent performance) to the test!

Phocas Review

Comments: Phocas has been really easy to use and allows us the insight into our business that we need. Furthermore, support has been really good.

Pros:

The best part of Phocas is the ease of use. They really make it easy and intuitive to find the information you are looking for.

Cons:

This is largely in part to our ERP system, but not everything we would like to have in Phocas came with our integration. We have to have custom programming done to unlock further usage of our system in Phocas.

Great , Impactful Software

Comments: overall I am very satisfied with this program and I highly recommend it to my clientele.

Pros:

Ever Since the team has implemented Phocas, I have been able to track my sales progress and been able to keep up with my goals and successes. this program also allows me to have my track record available and see where I need improvement and have a clear written history in terms of graphs and charts as to what has been done in the past, and present.

Cons:

the only problem I have with this problem is that sometimes , the program freezes, lags and does not upload the data from the day prior.

Phocas - Best Data Investigation Tool I've Seen

Comments: I love Phocas and would recommend it to businesses. Especially if you're a small or mid-sized business without a fully fleshed out data department.

Pros:

Phocas makes it very easy to get data out in front of people. Users don't have to be super smart with data, however if they are at least mildly smart with data then it isn't just an easy solution to get data in front of them but then becomes incredibly powerful. Users will feel empowered to be able to dig into anything from high level sales to individual transactions.

Cons:

The visualizations on Dashboards is lacking and could be improved. Also if you have some incredibly complex calculations then sometimes the way to implement that in Phocas isn't super straightforward.

Making Large Data Easy

Comments: With the ease of use and power of Phocas's customization we are able to solve data visualization not just in the main data sets but in side project data as well.

Pros:

Phocas is an easy to use software that allows us to customize and take a lot of different data and consolidate it in one easy to use solution.

Cons:

Not a real time application as of yet so the data is mostly reactive at this point.

Phocas Ideal for Data Tracking

Pros:

I utilize data analysis in Phocas daily and help create dashboards for our branches. It is easily navigated and improves our data tracking and transaction searching.

Cons:

Sometimes Phocas doesn't update, though I do not personally know if this is a Phocas issue or an issue with our Point of Sales program

Very happy with Phocas

Comments: Overall we are very happy with our product.

Pros:

This product is easy to use and we create reports quickly.

Cons:

We wanted to add some features into our existing databases but couldn't do it on our own. We just had training and now we learned how to do that.

A Game Changer!

Comments: the data from using Phocas has driven many key marketing and sales decisions with only positive results. We are now moving forwards in obtaining more data from our stock and purchasing databases to assist our Operations teams.

Pros:

the ease of obtaining information in a usable way, and the speed at which we can get analysis of the data has been a game changer for our business! The dashboards are key for our teams and the alerts take the day to day thinking out of my hands!

Cons:

There is nothing negative about this software from my perspective!

Our experience over 16 years of Phocas usage

Pros:

We have been a user of Phocas since 2003 and it has proved to be the single most useful piece of software we have ever used. We have our staff, customers and suppliers accessing the system, it is that good. Our suppliers prefer to use Phocas to their own in house systems and our customers say they have never seen anything as good. Without Phocas we would seriously struggle to know what is going on in our business.
