Comments: Great platform, nothing bad to say about my user experience
Pros:
Having used a lot of different VDRs, Firmex is a no nonsense platform with amazing customer support. Unbeatable for the price and features. The platform is extremely easy to use and has all the features needed to run a deal from A to Z. The "view as" feature is amazing for bankers looking to review their VDR before opening it up to clients.
Cons:
No Q&A function. If Firmex implemented a Q&A feature like Datasite, that would be awesome since this is a game changer for running processes

Thanks for the feedback, really like your comment about no nonsense type platform. As for Q&A, we do offer that functionality and is a feature enabled upon request. We see not a lot of deals in North America utilize this feature compared to what our EMEA team sees within their deals. Good Product, Secure and User Friendly
Pros:
It has all the functions needed to effectively manage a dataroom. I trust the security of the datarooms.
Cons:
I cannot download files with watermark based on a specific user's access.

Thanks for the feedback. As for your issue downloading files with a watermark, there could be a couple instances of why this is happening but without further details I can only speculate. For security reasons, only users themselves can download files with watermark as the watermark is specific to each user. However, if you don't see an option to download files outside of our view as feature, please ensure download is enabled as both office & PDF files can be downloaded with watermarks. Thanks for the feedback. We do send out invitation emails when being granted access to a data room, wtihin the email are links to the URL of the data room project you have been invited into. There are always links that users can send to one another for a specific document.

Ease of use and good customer support. Room is relatively easy to use.
Cons:
The dashboard for user tracking can be difficult to use sometimes.

Best Dataroom Option
Comments: 10/10 would recommend to anybody needing a dataroom.
Pros:
It's incredibly intuitive, easy to set up, and has all the functionality of the more expensive dataroom sites. The flat cost is a huge benefit as well, I use it for every deal I'm a part of.
Cons:
Not much to complain about to be honest. It has all the features you need, is easier to use than other sites, and is less expensive.

Comments: Great and efficient
Pros:
Its easily understood by some of my older colleagues and clients
Cons:
The website gets buggy sometimes and a small document takes a long time to get uploaded but that happens rarely

Pros:
Firmex allowed the PureTech team to work quickly and efficiently, while ensuring that our files were secure.
Cons:
As a user of the virtual data room, I did not appreciate that Firmex shows every time someone edits, replaces, uploads a new file. Although this makes sense, it calls attention to certain documents if things have changed.

Great to hear that the team was able to work quickly on your project. As for the showing of information and upload updates, I believe this is via our email notifications which can be adjusted to a frequency you are more comfortable with such as once a day or once a week instead of hourly or immediate.

Comments: Probably the best data room that I have used thus far.
Pros:
Easy to maneuver and locate files, folders & sections even without having any experience with the platform.
Cons:
The download zip structure can be improved or at least the user guide explaining it can include Q&A or frequently asked section. The multiple zip file structure is a bit confusing.

Thanks for the feedback, as it's always great to hear when a client gives you a 10 out of 10. Currently we are in the process of improving our zip file download structure for bulk downloads. This will increase the limit from 5 GB to 20 GB in order to eliminate any confusion as outlined when doing a bulk download from the platform.

As for data limits, we offer a fixed pricing model for storage compared to the archaic per page model a few of our competitors are still billing on. There are reports in the product to let you know of your data limits, as well as notifications sent so there are no surprises should you go over those limits.

Firmex is easy to use and is a safe and secure space for confidential information to be stored and shared.
Cons:
the search function when adding users to the vdr can be iffy at times. I find it won't always find the person(s) I'm looking for even though they are in the data base.

Files are easily retrievable and a source of truth repository for all related documents. No chasing down emails or latest versions of files.
Cons:
The filing system could be easier to manage, or have better categories to choose from.

We appreciate the positive feedback on the easy of use and copying documents which saves time and resources compared to other providers. Our platform can be used on a mobile web browser and we do offer an iOS app. The app isn't designed to be a complete substitute, it is meant to be able to store documents offline as well as make some changes remotely.
