We were creating about 300 - 400 validation documents per month, each document requires manual review, approval, then execution again review and approval. It requires about 4 - 6 weeks to complete a single document. After using Valgenesis system, everything was electronic including execution, exception management etc. we were able to complete the same document in a week time. All the bad hand writing issues were completely eliminated. We were challenged by QA all the time, after implementing Valgenesis in 2019, the observations went down by over 90%. > > **Cons**: In the old version, help file was not that great. In some sense, this is a pro. The animations of the workflow chart are a nice (hopeless) try. Has some certifications that make it compliant to highly regulated environments. > > **Cons**: We are forced to use it to track software change requests in a large enterprise. We asked for Jira, but incredibly this one has certifications that Jira hasn't. You're forced to use Internet Explorer (\!\!\!), and it opens the kind of popup - full screen, not resizable - where you don't get the urls. So no bookmarks. But it doesn't matter, you'd have to log in every time anyway and start from the beginning. If you happen to have a small screen, you're condemned to pain and tears, in a maze of scrollbars appearing everywhere. Searching for tickets is done through some reports that are for the most part readonly - that is, you can't click to see more details. From some you can though, but once you drill down, you might have to start from the beginning to check another ticket. Can't say anything about customer support (we're not in charge of configuration) but I guess it's not that great, since we asked to fix the incredible amount of notifications we get daily and nothing has changed in weeks. We don't need to use any paper on the production floor. In the paper-based process, we spend weeks executing the validation protocols, then reviewing and approving through the manual process. Now it is 100% digital and takes only a few days and sometimes a few hours to complete the execution tasks. > > **Cons**: Nothing to dislike. Since the product is comprehensive and we are a small company, it requires some time to set up the system and training to use the system. We can't blame the system for this additional effort, most of the global companies are using ValGenesis as the system of records for their validation program, so naturally, the system is comprehensive. > > Great investment and effort to move our validation program into ValGenesis.
