Comments: It has been above satisfactory. [sensitive content hidden] have been very patient with us and always helpful.

Pros:

There is a lot to learn and [sensitive content hidden] were great teachers and took the time to show us how to use the software. They also explained what they have to do to complete the project, which was also very helpful.

Cons:

The software is a little confusing to get around, but the tutorials help. If there was a print out of every time from A-Z that would be extremely helpful. Maybe there is and I just don't know!

Alternatives Considered: SPS Commerce

Reasons for Switching to TrueCommerce EDI Solutions: They were already integrated into our current program and very helpful.

Very disorganized company

Comments: You send an email - and then you may get a respond but nothing will change only e-mail you can't talk with anybody in this company - they are not professional and they do not understand how their own system works

Pros:

Unfortunately, 5 years ago when I join our company, they have chosen Truecommerce

Cons:

nothing - Before I join the company 5 years ago our company had this EDI software - I would not use this company

Great Product Great Price with Fantastic Support

5.0 last year

Comments: I love using TC. I have been using TC for many years with multiple companies, with many different sizes. My current company uses TC for 80 partners for different channels. Their support and functionality sets the bar.

Pros:

I love the visibility and ability to monitor your system, to monitor orders, and even make changes as needed. Their support though makes life easy as an IT Professional to ensure that orders are flowing. EDI is the lifeblood of any new business, and as result without a functioning EDI, issues will arise. TC is not set it and forget it, but it is set is and watch it. I equate TC to smoking meat. You put it in, watch it carefully, and enjoy the ride.

Cons:

The only issue I have with TC is the lack of ability to automate connections and information into ERP for item information. Meaning that when a change happens in NetSuite, you have to update every trading partner. But with the future, they are looking to amend this.

No Implementation, but charging months together

1.0 2 years ago

Comments: Horrible with implementation team. Pleasant with sales team, who responds and informs he escalated the situation, for the 2nd time.

Pros:

We had great presentation and conversations with the sales team about the features and ease of use etc.

Cons:

Once we signed up and paid the initial payment of 100s of dollars, there is no implementation timeline. There is no response to emails sent by our trading partners for status. Dead silence on the implementation, but keep charging the credit card for monthly fee for over two months. Left legal as the only option to recover our money.

Process is always long not a lot of follow up, always need new development to adapt to our customer

3.0 7 years ago

Pros:

it is friendly user, we can automate a lot of data and have less user data entry, steps are easy to follow

Cons:

on your web site it is mention that it is integrate to Dynamics GP, but in reality most of the needs must have a developement we can communicate easily with our customer but to exchange transaction with supplier and carrier we have to process with other developper to get the information and not all the edi transaction are available most if available we must read into di web only it cannot be integrated into dynamics gp and update our files we cannot customize the notification to specific person

Easy to use but customer service needs work

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: This system automates our billing for a large key customer. Software system works well although about once every 3 months needs to be "reconnected" with quickbooks. This is fairly easy to do but frustrating the first few times because I didn't know how to do it on my own and customer service was not available.

Pros:

The software is set up similar to email with and inbox, outbox, sent etc. Fairly intuative and toom almost now training to start using. I think the cost is inline with other providers.

Cons:

I have had a few bumps along the way with the implementation, customer service and sales team. When I oringally signed up the sales team told me I could use the system with one of my customers but that wasnt true. After quite a long time and a lot of follow up they did give me my money back. This year we changed from quickbooks desktop to online so we had to go through the implementation of the Truecommerce EDI software all over again. The implementation specialist over looked a key step in the processes causing a delay of about a month in the implemation. I ended up sending hundreds of transactions that failed due to this oversight. Truecommerce still charged me for these failed transactions which I felt was unfair. I spent 3 months following up with cuatomer service to try to get a refund. I did finally get a refund but it shouldn't have taken that long or required that level of follow up on my part.

Not enterprise grade solution.

2.0 6 years ago

Comments: We are a large multi national corp with 3 divisions, and approx 50 trading partners, using Dynamics GP as an ERP.
Integration and transition:
We have been trying for almost a year to get up and running. The teams are inexperienced and have never encountered a company our size. Things that work yesterday don't work today. Programmers are overwriting each other, and there are no standards for how stuff is done. There is no project plan, source code control, issue tracking, or anything else that is standard for a project this size. The response time is days not hours, and many issues they ignore hoping they go away. They have not encountered many of our scenarios which are standard for any company our size.
The software:
There are two parts to the solution, one is the web based portal the other is the GP Integration. The web based as a standalone solution is slow and cumbersome, but basically works most of the time. However, the "Raw EDI" is not truly that, there is very poor reporting, and no integration verification.
On the GP side, it many times does not work, doesn't produce the expected results, and "loses" transactions. Being multi-company, many transactions overwrite each other and causes loss of transaction data. The export is slow, ie; I exported 3000+ ASN's and that took 3.5 hrs. There is little in logging and visibility to what is happening behind the scenes.

Pros:

We were promised the world and got delivered peanuts.

Cons:

Does not work consistently, implementation team is incompetent.

True Commerce EDI Solutions

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: We deal with high volume customers in our business so utilizing a software system like True Commerce EDI Solutions allows us to manage out time more efficiently. Rarely do we have any changes to make to our EDI mapping once the customer has been established, so the process flows very soothly.

Pros:

I love the ease of receiving and transmitting EDI files from and to customers. It is also so very time saving to have the ability to transfer orders directly into Quickbooks. When you're dealing with a large customer like Walmart or McLane, you can receive and process large orders quickly.

Cons:

I have experienced issues with mapping which can be frustrating and time consuming to figure out. It's best to have EDI pros on either side of the transaction to help it flow smoother when issues pop up.

Quick to take your Money, Slow to do any Work.

1.0 4 years ago

Comments: Initial setup and assistance was good however follow up projects have been a nightmare. Adding customization and other integrations is a long process with no communication and many of our outstanding issues are still unresolved after over a month of waiting. There is a startling lack of communication and reps are unresponsive and unhelpful. Once they have your money projects vanish into a black hole leaving you to beg and plead for updates whilst nothing seems to done. Their initial, long timelines are bad but their ability to even meet those is even worse. Despite demanding payment upfront, very expensive payment, the work in return is slow, unreliable and not conducive to actually getting things done for your business. I strongly recommend any other EDI solution as the investment required for Truecommerce doesn't reflect the service you will get back. If you need to process orders and get things done in a reasonable time frame Truecommerce is not the supplier you want to invest in.

Pros:

When it works it does a fine job, reasonably easy to use and functional.

Cons:

The online portal can be finicky and their connection utilities are unreliable and support is hard to get.

Terrible customer service. Issues go unresolved for days

1.0 7 years ago

Comments: The platform was so inadequate that it forced to do a more through comparison, with many different platforms to switch to.

Pros:

The interface is somewhat friendly to use, but that's about it. I can't think of anything else that was good about this platform.

Cons:

I've worked with several applications and their customer service is the worst in the industry. Issues go days without a response, and that's if they respond. There were issues with their programming as well, and they have high costs compared to other platforms.

Good EDI Partners

5.0 7 years ago

Comments: Allowed us to integrate our EDI products into our ERP system with customers that require it.

Pros:

Di Central provides a good service for small companies looking to integrate with in house software or process EDI Documents via the web.

Cons:

Working with the company to add new partners sometimes takes a very long time. Other than this, once things are set up they work great.

A not bad software can fit into most of your business's EDI needs

3.0 7 years ago

Comments: Their customer support is dedicated and passionate to solve your problems.

Pros:

They basically can fit into almost all of the big ERP system like QB, NS...etc. They can fit into most of the trading partners. We have more than 20 EDI connections with them. They just get rid of their Silverlight based webpage and deploy new like of the portal which is better.

Cons:

The software is unstable. You might need to call their customer support once or twice a week to get the problem fixed. The webpage loading time is slow...

Best EDI Solution For Our Business

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: True Commerce has been incredible for our business. They were patient with us as we transitioned business systems over to a new ERP. The integration with our new system is incredible; it takes full advantage of the capabilities of EDI.

Pros:

We decided to reevaluate out EDI systems a couple of years ago after our provider failed to meet our expectations on an integration project. We happened upon True Commerce and were not only impressed with the functionality, but also we shocked by the affordability and price!

Cons:

Their support structure is a little difficult to navigate. If you are in a trading partner implementation phase, you can't get support from one of their support agents. You have to wait to speak with an implementation specialist.

Use between the new and old formats

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: the customer service representatives are always helpful and understanding of the situation needing to be resolved

Pros:

Not much with the lack of training available. Your customer service is wonderful, but with a question to individual questions needed in a time constraint along with the wait time, it does not assist with out immediate needs.

Cons:

The new format is difficult to use especially when needing to print labels for shipping. Containers that need to be added/deleted along with items that need to be separated into different boxes is frustrating. I go back to using the old format most of the time. It seems there are more steps in the new format.

Overall it's a pretty good solution for businesses that do a lot of EDI transactions

4.0 7 years ago

Comments: When it works as planned it saves me a lot of time!!!!

Pros:

Customer support is helpful and knowledgeable. It's easy to learn and use. You can process EDI transactions from any computer. It didn't take long to figure out. That's the basic way to use the software. We integrate it with our Quickbooks so I don't have to enter in anything to the system...it's all just a few clicks.

Cons:

For just the EDI web version, the site can sometimes run slow...when using the software version, it can also transfer over to QB very slowly. And sometimes things just can't sync for whatever reason which is frustrating.

Great product

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: We've been doing business with True Commerce for over 15 years now and we've been very happy with them.

Pros:

It's easy to use. If i run into any problems their customer support is superb! They will walk you thru every step and show you how to fix it in the future. If you don't know something they have no problem showing you without making you feel like "you should know this".

Cons:

The only problem we have with this software is that we have Sage 50 and some of the discounts that are line items do not come thru to the order when you export the PO into Sage. I have to manually enter them

Great Customer Relations System

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: We have all our customer and wine club members records including their purchase history, changes, visits that allow us to provide the highest customer experience.

Pros:

Truly appreciate how reliable & simple TrueCommerce EDI Solutions is to work with. I'm constantly having to search customers, orders and having several options to search: via name, phone, comments, activity, address etc. etc. allow our team to provide the best customer service to our clients.

Cons:

The only times I'm least happy with the software is the occasional slow downs, but only have several times a year.
