> Very impressed at it's speed in processing. If I use Google Meet I have to wait a while before my recording is saved \&amp; processed before getting a link whereas with Fathom it's just there. This means my workflow is not interrupted and I can start analyzing calls immediately after I have them. when they are still fresh in my mind.

### "Lost Two Years of Client Data Due to Fathom's Poor Customer Service" — 1.0/5

> I would strongly advise anyone, particularly startups and solopreneurs, to avoid using Fathom at the risk of losing your intellectual property.&#10;&#10;I used Fathom for two years and was happy with the services. When I first signed up for an account I used an email address related to a business development organization that I belonged to. Fast forward two years, and I decide to leave the business development network and attempt to change the email associated with my Fathom account.&#10;&#10;Fathom makes it incredibly difficult to do this. You can't just go into your account settings and change your email, but you need to send a form requesting their assistance. Finding this form was itself a challenge, and only possible after I sent a Help request to them.&#10;&#10;I made the change request several weeks prior to when the account transfer was needed and I got zero response. I followed up twice including a specific drop dead date by which I needed the change made or I was going to lose access. Still nothing. Three weeks later and after a third attempt to resolve the problem they get back to me. Only at this point do they inform me that their policy prohibits them from making the account transfer without proof of ownership of the old account; however that ship had sailed and I was no longer in a position to do so. Had they responded when I initially made the account transfer request, this would not have been a problem.&#10;&#10;When I explained the situation and pointed out that their slow response prohibited me from complying with their policy, they basically told me that I would have to accept losing TWO YEARS of client data. All because their own customer service was unable to respond to my account change request.&#10;&#10;This has caused significant damage to my company, as I no longer have access to transcripts and files for several long-term client relationships. Fathom is taking zero accountability. I feel like they have illegally expropriated my business secrets, but regardless I'm left stuck with no resolution in sight.&#10;&#10;There are plenty of competitors out there where this would not be a concern. Don't take a chance at losing all of your data due to Fathom's incompetence.

### "Ai notetaker becomes invaluable for video meetings" — 5.0/5

> **Pros**: The Fathom notetaker is genuinely awesome. You can use it in any video meeting (Google, Zoom, Teams, etc.), and it's better than the built-in Google Gemini notetaker (as of the time of writing). &#10;&#10;The ai summary notes are ACCURATE. Like-- impressively accurate. Like-- more accurate than if you had a human taking notes with you. And because it records the meetings, you can click on a sentence from the ai notes and it will replay that section of the call for extra context\!&#10;&#10;To me, the coolest thing is that it creates "action steps" following a meeting. In addition to insightful meeting summaries that break down each chunk of your conversation/call/talk, it automatically creates a to-do list for you (great for sharing with your counterpart, because you KNOW they aren't taking good notes).

> **Cons**: Sometimes you can't NOT add Fathom to your meetings. That is, sometimes I don't open the Fathom app, or specifically request that it not join a meeting (because I want to save my monthly free credits for other meetings), but it seems to join anyway. If I had a paid plan or infinite credits then I wouldn't have a problem with having it in every meeting; but I'd like to be able to confidently say "don't join this meeting" to save credits for my high-impact meetings.&#10;&#10;Annoyance I don't know how to solve: I'm an iMac user and make use of the multiple desktops feature, and opening Fathom may switch me to a different "desktop." I never really know where Fathom is going to launch; and though I CAN move the Fathom instance/window around my computer as needed, it'd be nicer if it always just opened in the screen I'M actually in.&#10;&#10;Nonetheless, none of these minor inconveniences is enough to dissuade me from using Fathom. It's still a 99% benefit to my meetings\!
