Very Happy with PIMSY EHR
Comments: So fare our experience with PIMSY EHR have need great, since we started using PIMSY getting things done both in and out of the office has been simplified.
Pros:
Inspiring Minds Inc's Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program was in need of a affordable EHR system that would help us to both streamline the services we provide to our clients as well as be affordable on a very tight budget. We found exactly what we needed in PIMSY, there are many reasons PIMSY Mental Health EHR works for us here are my top 3: Set up was a breeze, did not require a lot of work on our part PIMSY did all of the heavy lifting all that was required from us was copies of the documents we wanted incorporated into the system. PIMSY trained our staff on the new system. When we were first introduced to the PIMSY system it was a little overwhelming because of its many capabilities, the support staff at PIMSY spent many months with us training our staff on the parts of the system that pertain to our program. PIMSY support is out of this world. After training was completed and our EHR system was up and running we were not on our own PIMSY support was right there with us every step of the way. Every time there was a problem with the system PIMSY support was there, if our staff needed to be retrained on any part of the system someone was there to walk them through it again. After we become more proficient with the system and realised that additional forms were needed in the system PIMSY support was able to help with that also. I would recommend PIMSY to anyone with a mental health business of any size in need of a reliable EHR system. It simply works great.
Cons:
No complaints, it is a large system with many capabilities and not all may be useful to your particular program
Great software for behavioral health providers or facilities!
Comments: The team at PIMSY is amazing! They are all very professional, and they make training sessions fun. It is easy to contact anyone at PIMSY and responses are typically very prompt.
Pros:
Once a person is trained on the software, it is user friendly. If a user has a question or forgot how to do a task it is easy to logon to the PIMSY help desk and reference videos or PDF files on most topics. In addition to this the software is updated frequently based on the demands of the industry and PIMSY is willing to accommodate most needs, specific to each company. It is also nice to be able to login remotely to check the calendar for upcoming appointments.
Cons:
There is no way to calculate or track the out of pocket maximum for patients within the system, at times this can make it hard to not overcharge patients. At times users will lose connection since the program is cloud based. When connection is lost, the information that was being entered can potentially be lost as well, because of this an auto save feature would be nice.
Clunky software
Pros:
This product seems to offer good features for billing and notes. There are automatic preset notes for progress reports. It is easy to look at each client's chart/file, it will bring up all notes, demographic info, billing, etc.
Cons:
This product can only operate on Windows and it runs VERY slow. You always have to refresh the calendar to make any changes. The phone app is also very old and has very limited features.

Comments: Devonear, Inc. has solved our agency problems of going to the office when working from home everything is at our fingertips from anywhere we can access our Pimsy account. Pimsy has reduced all missed signatures issues by populating all signatures to all document that requires signatures. Pimsy's product you can complete a behavioral mental health assessment then within the same note ID number transition to the CFARS/FARS as well as within seven (7) days of your bio-psychosocial this Pimsy product will map over from your behavioral assessment items that has the same identical questions and answers will populate over to your bio-psychosocial document resulting in reduced time on documentation allowing for behavioral mental health worker to engage in more time with their clients as planned.
Pros:
Pimsy well-trained staff like [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has made using Pimsy product a breeze in the park by evidence of the following: My agency went from paper files to electronic paperless files with an easy transition without taking away from the integrity and/or quality of the structure of our existing documentation. Pimsy well-train staff were able to take my agency documentation to the next level. Equally important Pimsy's software is user friendly once you practice hands on you will become a pro in no time as long as you put in the work.
Cons:
Pimsy has so many features packed within one product to be honest I can't identify a feature that is missing.
Excellent Program
Comments: I would highly recommend Pimsy to other therapists who are looking to streamline their paperwork at a reasonable monthly cost. To me, the most important thing about an EMR is to have the features that you need, have it customizable to your business, rather big or small, and to be able to use those features. I don't care if you have the best program in the world, if you can't use it, then it doesn't help you. Pimsy has the features that I need and the customer support to teach me how to use them. I feel my hours of research for a good EMR company has paid off. Pimsy more than pays for itself by streamlining my office, improving efficiency and reducing billing times. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good EMR company that will help you implement its program and help you with any questions you have along the way.
Pros:
I researched multiple EMR programs to find one that was affordable for a small business owner like myself, yet had all the features for a big company, so I could expand my practice. Pimsy was the clear winner. EMRs are completely new to me, and Pimsy was easy enough for me to implement and understand. With all technology and new programs, there is a learning curve, but Pimsy makes that easy. I can always call or email and get an immediate reply and if I need additional help, they will join me on my computer and walk me through exactly how to do whatever I am needing. This is all included in the monthly fee. I can now do my electronic billing that used to take days in a matter of minutes. No more searching for folders, spending hours on billing, trying to remember insurance authorizations. It is all here. Thanks to Pimsy, I am getting ready to add a therapist to my practice, because I now have the tools I need to effectively manage my clients, my billing, and more therapists.
Cons:
There are a few features that I would love to see implemented into Pimsy. For instance, the automatic messaging program is still in the beta stage, and I felt like it needed a little more features, before I would want to use that for my company. But because Pimsy is a customer centered business, they take the customer suggestions for improvements and try to implement them in their next quarterly update. So if I ever run across something that I would like to see or perhaps a simple thing that I think would be helpful, I can just submit a support ticket and they will add it to their list of things to look at for the next update.

Comments: Our compliance concerns have been significant for the last 2 years, along with the integrity of the previous system. We all had to worked very hard with many many hours each day and week to stay on top of compliance needs for our clients and staff. With PIMSY we set the alerts and do not have to think about it again until the alert comes up. This has taken a HUGE weigh and worry of our hour shoulders. This will also free up our time to build our agency where we want it to be with quality of work, nurturing our staff, having time to meet more of our clients to build stronger therapeutic working relationships as well as the same with our referral sources. Not to sound to sappy....but, PIMSY really has and will impact our day to day functions in such a positive manor that I have all ready seen the stress levels decrease in our management staff.
Pros:
So easy to use!! I am not an electronics or software person, and typically if something has too many steps I give up and ask someone for help quickly. With PIMSY the software is very user friendly, and even I can create what we need for our agency with no frustrations, and actually have fun while doing it!
Cons:
The payroll system does not have all that we need, however with that said the PIMSY team has been tenacious, has had constant follow up after each change, and continues to work with us to be able to create the payroll form we need, and our payroll company needs.
PIMSY in my opinion
Comments: As we use PIMSY more and more, it becomes a little more apparent that the features of this program are pretty good. While it is missing some safeguards that we had hoped (and were told) were available, such as holding billing if no consent to bill was turned in, it is generally pretty easy to go back and check once you add this into your billers work flow. There were several things we were sold on that were not accurate, but PIMSY has stepped up in most cases and created a work around for these - such as not being Mac compliant. Switching from a windows based EMR to an excel based EMR has been very trying and difficult for most of our employees. I feel like training was a vague overview of the system and there is so much more to learn that we stumble upon and through - not that the employees at PIMSY are not knowledgeable but that it's such a vast system to learn and truly working in it teaches you what to look for, but maybe a better understanding from the beginning of what flows from where would have made it a little more smooth of a transition. We had some major billing issues in the beginning, but have recovered nicely and for the most part everything is running smoothly at this moment. As we continue to use the system, I personally get more comfortable with it and the ease of use increases, however I am sitting behind a desk in a stationary location. Many of our traveling therapists are unable to use the program on the go because it's not a mobile program and it's too time consuming to try to load at each patients home which is causing many more after hours work.

Cons:
not Mac compatible, not mobile friendly, errors not clear to what is wrong/how to fix, and most times there is not a customer service rep available to help, you have to leave a message and wait for a call back
PIMSY allows our business to grow successfully
Comments: When we first began PIMSY was still working on programming secondary claims integration for EDI. Once this was live, it made a huge impact on reducing my time on claims processing.
Pros:
PIMSY has allowed our Non Profit the ability to be productive and successful all at an affordable cost. Scheduling, medical records, coordination with Pediatricians and billing in one system is simple. PIMSY's functionality improves every year with insightful integrations that continue to make running a busy mental health office easier. The billing and customer service teams are undeniably amazing!
Cons:
PIMSY works hard every year to improve their software and meet the needs of their customers. Understanding the initial build well is critical and taking the time to carefully learn and review options will ease any long term stress.
Comprehensive-User Friendly Product
Comments: Moving out of paper charts was vital to our business success. We can now monitor progress note completion, productivity, expiration dates of required documents, and can pull reports to show outcomes. I'm looking forward to completing our client and staff satisfaction surveys through the Q and A. I'm excited to build Q and As to monitor client progress. I love how client's can sign on the screen so there are fewer forms to manage and upload.
Pros:
What I like Most: 1. The PIMSY Team-they make implementation/set up so easy. Trainers are very accessible to address issues. 2. I love how you can set up the record to capture the data required for our specific needs and the reports are very useful. 3. Having the Human Resource personnel file in the system makes tracking of trainings, credentials, and insurance network information easy and accessible. The user profile can be created so staff can access certain items in their personnel file which saves time with our limited resource. 4. The patient portal is comprehensive and user-friendly.
Cons:
I wish it can be accessed via a smartphone.
PIMSY is exactly what we needed as a small non-profit agency and behavioral health provider.
Comments: Efficiency in billing, accountability in documentation and billing, organized client data management system, electronic health record, improving auditing results.
Pros:
We appreciate that PIMSY is able to adapt to our agency's unique needs. With a variety of payment sources outside of the typical self pay and private insurance, PIMSY has been responsive to our requests for custom reports, invoicing, and processes to help streamline our billing. It has enabled us to be more aware of and efficient with our time, and recognize where we need to improve in efficiency and organizational processes. The reviewing and auditing features took us from 80% compliant to 99.8% compliant in one year! Our therapists tell us it is easy for them to document services, and our billing coordinator loves the accuracy in reporting and client data management. The training was flexible and responsive, and everyone we've worked with has been incredibly friendly. As a small not-for-profit, cost was a factor for us. We've gotten a lot of bang for our buck for this system, and it was worth the investment!
Cons:
There are so many features, settings, and ways to customize PIMSY, that sometimes the number of buttons, menus, and options can be overwhelming. PIMSY customer support is accessible, helpful, and quick to answer our questions, but sometimes I feel like I have to click 5 menus and twenty buttons before I fix a problem.
PIMSY is Great!
Comments: As a therapist, records are critical. PIMSY makes inputting, archiving, and retrieving my notes easy and seamless. Customer Support has always been able to help us and rectify any little issues that come up unexpectedly.
Pros:
Ease of use, organization, calendar, reminders if I forget to write a note, and accessibility.
Cons:
Other than errors that pop up every once in a while, there is not a lot of negative to say about it. What system doesn't have an error every once in a while?!

Ability to run reports for QI projects;access billing information;ability to navigate easily; easy access to developer who addresses issues as soon as possible;
Cons:
alerts seperated between communications between staff-alerts of reknewals get lost in the shuffle. Threads are very confusing because they aren't written in system by administrators; is slow and not accessible at times; updates often change things in the system

Greta has been great to work with. She has been intrumental in offering up suggestions that help to make PIMSY a better product. The speed issues that have been mentioned by JCPS are valid in the sense that they often times are working with very limitied band width (sometimes just above dial up) and pulling up large amounts of data at a time. JCPS does between 4 and 6 thousand notes a month so limited bandwidth would definitely cause some issues. Other areas mentioned are always being improved to make them more intuitive and keep up with the ever changing environment of Mental Health.
EHR Admin and Project Manager for PIMSY Roll Out
Comments: Working with Adam Lowell of Maine Technology Group and with all the amazing people at PIMSY has been a life changing experience. If you are considering an EHR system and are a little nervous, PIMSY's support team is second to none. One of the greatest elements about PIMSY's EHR system is the ability to customize. My company has made countless special requests and Adam and the PIMSY team have listened to our needs and have worked through to find solutions with us every step of the way. Taking a moment to speak about Maine Technology Group; Adam gave up the use of his conference room for 3 days out of the week for our team to meet in a centralized location, and he did this for months. Adam was amazingly attentive, always available, and often came early and stayed late for any special meetings or requests. During our trainings for internal staff he was there to help set-up, take down, and acted as helping resource for people who were struggling. Adam even set-up catering at a local restaurant for our entire staff! Kim Gordon did a fantastic job training our Champions and Superusers and actually stayed on the phone as a resource all during the times we trained our internal staff. I also personally met with Marisa Thompson also from PIMSY on a weekly basis; the individual attention really made trouble shooting issues so much easier. To Adam and everyone at PIMSY, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The software is easy to use and has many features that make work flow easier. The support team has been great in implementation and continued support.
Cons:
At times the billing side of the program has been difficult to navigate but support team has been helpful in this area when needed.

Pimsy EHR is a decent practice management software.
Pros:
Pimsy is pretty easy to use. I love the reminders for example if I forget to write a client note. I love that you can build a report and add documents as needed. The functionality of the product is really good.
Cons:
Learning the software is a bit of a learning curve because you can customize so much. The billing side of the software was difficult to navigate but support was helpful.
Pimsy Is Worth Every Penny
Pros:
Pimsy has been the key to efficiently managing our mental health counseling practice. It has been a huge time saver in that everything from documentation to billing can be completed in a fraction of the time.
Cons:
The whole experience of transitioning to Pimsy has been a positive one. Of course there is a learning curve as you start to utilize the different features, however the excellent support staff and the extensive training make it all very manageable.

PIMSY has been readily available for technical support and trouble shooting. It is affordable.
Cons:
PIMSY is very cumbersome and slow to work with. After we purchased it, it became more and more obvious it was a beta-product that still had many kinks and was not really designed for a large practice.

The support for PIMSY is great (i.e. customer service).
Cons:
The treatment plan set up, the glitches of it easing my data even after I saved it, the spell check function (especially when you have multiple boxes), the intake/assessment set-up (the way it eases your information on the left side of the field and save it to the right side of the field but then when you go back to complete it, you have to scroll on the right column to see what area on the left column is blank, it's just too much).
PIMSY review for MYR
Comments: I would highly recommend PIMSY to any agency providing a varity of services, in Mental Health, Juvenile Justice or social services.
Pros:
PIMSY has been an asset to MYR and to the speed at which staff can provide daily paperwork. PIMSY provides availability for all staff on a specific client to see the record at any time, day or night. PIMSY is extremely user frendly and rarely is down for any reason. PIMSY is flexible for all the varity of programs that MYR provides to children, adults and families in WNC.
Cons:
Staff continue to wait for a scheduling component. Group notes are somewhat difficult to navigate

Comments: Not user friendly. Very difficult to use. Non responsive to email requests for assistance or to ask questions. Yet tell us email is the best way to reach them.

Not all features work all the time. It is hit and miss. Just saving a document is difficult. Cannot upload additional documents into system. Customer service and responsiveness is basically non existent.
Would recommend that you keep looking at other software
Comments: Nice people on the staff. Product is very time consuming, clumsy going between screens, nurses hated the med prescription section, terrible accounting integration. We had a dedicated IT team and seasoned clinicians and nurses, the system was universally disliked. We had to cut our losses with this system and move to another vendor. Very happy with the move, light years ahead of where we were.

We made every effort to meet this client's needs, including complimentary development work. As much as we would like to be the perfect fit for every practice, that's simply not realistic. In the end, this agency simply wasn't a good fit for PIMSY.

Comments: I would recommend PIMSY to other companies. We would be lost without it.
Pros:
PIMSY is used by everyone in the company, everyday. I appreciate that it keeps growing to fit our needs. Ian is always very helpful when I call with questions.
Cons:
It would be helpful to be able to see the clients contact information in the sal calendars after employees enter in their schedules. I make appointment reminder calls and therefore need to go back and forth from the sal calendar to client pages.

Comments:
We had billing agent who used to do our billing and had separate system for our documentation. Our billing staff used to spend hours of billing and PIMSY made it easy for both our billing staff, case managers, and counselors. We do both our billing and documentation in PIMSY which made our work easier. PIMSY is not a complicated software, once you set up and do the training, you will be good to go.
Customer support team are great, they will work with you anytime, evenings, and even weekends.
