> **Pros**: Node-red is a good programming application for energy managers that are not skilled to use Python. Due to the blocks that have to be configured, it's quite easy to have results and to start with data gathering.  Easy to start with no data programming knowledge or for people that are not familiar with Python or other programming languages

> **Cons**: Somethings the error logging is quite hard to understand. We are using InfluxDB as application. But with the updates of some of the blocks, the working principle can change and errors can not always define the fault in a good way. Not every block is existing, so somethimes you need to  program in node-red yourself. Than you already need knowledge for programming in C.

> Good, easy to use and very helpful for people that are not used to program all over the time.  Ideal for a quick start with programming and storing/visualising data.

> **Cons**: A large number of internal dependant files and pieces of information that come with Node-RED take up a lot of memory. Therefore, I don't think Node-RED is a wise choice if your RAM is low.

> **Pros**: For a research project in university, where we were keeping an eye on the pressure, temperature, and flow rate of hydrogen in a liquid hydrogen refueling container, I utilized the Node-Red program. I wanted software, ideally free and open source, to communicate with the different mechanical parts.

> **Cons**: You must examine the machine's files and update them if anything goes wrong with the in-flow, which can occasionally cause node-red to go down.
> 
> The blocks in Node-Red made it easy to connect IoT devices. The platform offers students working on Internet of Things projects an intuitive graphical user interface. Additionally, the MQTT protocol makes connections between IoT devices quick.
