RiverPark Dematic Review

Comments: We are able to keep good records an the way work orders are being handled and keeping a good time stamp

Pros:

The ease of use, I found the APP very easy to manipulate and user friendly. I like the way you can pull up WOs and add time, pictures, documents and notes to close out a work order. It easy to go from one work order to another and it has a history so you can easily go back and forth through work orders.

Cons:

Sometimes the certificates run out on the APP and can cause some problems but for the most part it runs pretty smooth

Dematic Sprocket the best experience with CMMS software

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: We have been with Sprocket for 13 years almost since the day Sprocket was created. We have had ups and downs over the years with technicians, software updates and upgrades but the past 8 years have been the best experience we have had with technical response, accessibility of Sprocket, willingness to help with programming changes such as Sprocket/Banner payroll integration, Project Management modules, inspection creation and processes all help to make our organization more efficient.

Pros:

Ease of use: Sprocket is straight forward and easy to use as work orders are created by filling out a few short fields and by adding email addresses the contact is notified when work orders are opened, status changes, and closed. Preventive maintenance schedules are created quickly and scheduling PM's are an easy step by step process including equipment numbers, location and data tracking along with costs. Sprocket customers support is second to none and technicians answer calls and address needs immediately and are very helpful when programming changes are required by the customer. You can talk to a programmer, if needed, on your first call. Sprocket software and technical support costs are very reasonable compared with most CMMS programs.

Cons:

I can't honestly say there are things I don't like about Sprocket as it works very well for our needs. I would like to see the reporting system a little easier to use but Dematic Sprocket creates most of our reports so the point is almost moot but time could be saved if we were more comfortable with creating reports.

Very Satisfied Customer for 14+ Years!

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Sprocket meets our needs very well. We are particularly happy with how it organizes our maintenance workflow by auto-dispatching service requests to the appropriate technicians. We love how it automatically notifies customers and management by email as the status of work orders change and when they are completed. We are pleased with the way Sprocket emails detailed billing statements to our customers each months and downloads financial information into our accounting software. We absolutely love Sprocket!

Pros:

It has a very robust preventive maintenance module, and a strong PM program is the key to success in any facilities department. I also like to auto-email functionality for any type of report or system activity you want. This make me a much more informed and effective manager.

Cons:

I don't have any complaints about Sprocket currently. It seems that whenever a problem or glitch arises, the Sprocket team addresses it immediately. We meet with our Sprocket representative in a weekly online meeting, and he resolves most of our concerns right in the meeting.

Sprocket Review

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: We lost a contract for service (HVAC) due to a lack of documented time and material.
Dematic Sprocket has provided the tool for recording technician time and material costs.
The overall experience has been excellent for me as administrator. I am able to document and record data required by the customer .

Pros:

Ease of use. Even if I had a problem I could not resolve, customer support always assisted in a timely manner.

Cons:

Exporting reports to Microsoft Excel creates comma separated values for reports with more than 10,000 line items. I have to divide the report using dates for the report in order for the report to export correctly. Then I have 2 or more reports to consolidate.

Sprocket Improved the department

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Tech's performance has increased now that they have visibility to see where their hours are going. Leadership has been able to increase production and see where we need to add or remove Tech's based on workload projection. Equipment is operating better now that there is better record keeping

Pros:

Sprocket gives visibility to the work load in real time. It gives you numbers that you are able to plan/forecast off of. It gives the Tech's visibility to their performance. You are able tweak the program yourself to how you want it to operate.

Cons:

Lots of different screens and terminology to get used to at first.

Fully customized Property Accountability Tool that gets the job done!

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Would not hesitate to use Sprocket again on future work.

Pros:

Sprocket can be fully customized to meet the needs of a variety of programs. We use it heavily to track property on two different Government programs where the property is located in multiple theaters of operation. We've been very successful with it.

Cons:

The end user can do a lot of the customization but I've had to rely on Dematic support for some of the more complex jobs.

SDHSC Sprocket Review

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Tracking labor and material by rooms, areas and by projects. I had them tweak the Detail Invoice Report to add totals to the report.

Pros:

Their tech. support. They have helped in creating various reports. I have never had long waits on the phone to their tech. support.

Cons:

One feature I would like to see is fractions with liquids. For example paint; the painter might only use half a gallon on paint. I have to charge the job with a full gallon. That throws of inventory.

Comments: it was great at first, then the customer service went downhill.

Pros:

I love the software. There are many features we don't know how to use, but are probably very useful.

Cons:

Customer Service went downhill after they were purchased by a new company.

Sprocket CMMS Review

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Dematic is very accommodating of client input for purpose of enhancing their product.
Their implementation team struggles to meet client "go live" deadlines.
Turn-around resolution for customer support tickets is typically more than a week, and sometimes as many as 2-3 months.

Pros:

The combination of user groups and dispatch actions allow for versatile configurability, making it an extremely easy product to use for end-users. The import tool is great for mass loading of various database tables like equipment, locations, and requests.

Cons:

Creating PM schedules is a tedious process at best. There is no apparent way to import a large group of PM schedules. Mobile app has add no upgrades for over a year. This has meant no fixes to known bugs nor addition of enhancements.

Comments: Bridgewater Retirement Community implemented Sprocket starting in June 2009, and while we have not completely implemented the system in our nursing home, doing so in Bridgewater Village, our independent living community, has proven to be quite helpful. Being able to bring up the data by address or resident name has been useful a number of times. Many reports are available. We have yet to make extensive use of the reporting features. This is the first CMMS we have used. Implementation and training of our staff is ongoing. Many of our staff can close their own work orders and more will be trained in the near future. With a day or two of training and assistance, the staff appears to be able to do the entry that is required. The procedure is generally easily learned and becomes easier as staff begins to do their own entry. The people at Upturn Solutions, the developer of Sprocket, have been very helpful whenever we have needed assistance. Just last week we had an issue and received immediate help. The ability to look at the cumulative data in a matter of seconds is outstanding. Our experience with Sprocket has been good. The software has many features that we will develop in the future as time and needs develop. I always feel like part of the family when I am speaking to the technicians. It is a good company and a good platform to be using at this time.

Comments: We are a very large facility encompassing two full city blocks and we have over 1,100 pieces of equipment that we service and maintain; with a small staff it was vital that we work as efficiently as possible. We based our decision to use Sprocket from our previous history using another PM software system; we knew what we were looking for in a PM software system and “ease of use” and flexibility were top priorities. Implementation of Sprocket went smoothly using customized templates provided by Sprocket for data collection, preventive maintenance procedures and inventory tracking made launching Sprocket quick and easy. We originally choose Sprocket because we liked that it was “user-friendly” and versatile, the companies customer support have convinced us we made the right choice. The Sprocket implementation support team and staff members are always available. They have provided expert guidance in setting up and managing our equipment database, preventive maintenance procedures, and inventory tracking. The Sprocket PM system, start-up team, and support staff has exceeded our expectations in every way.

Outstanding implementation and support of Sprocket CMMS

5.0 10 years ago

Pros:

The support and implementation was incredibly good. Exceeded our expectations. Ability to integrate with our SCADA system. The team is very knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge. Their honesty in capabilities and implementation was critical to me, so I could set expectations with my owners and staff.

Cons:

Not much. I would have to make something up. If anything, I would like to have a local person for support, but the fact that we do not have a local person has not had a negative impact.

Comments: We absolutely love Sprocket! We have been using it since 2005, and it has met our needs very nicely. It is easy to navigate and manage maintenance requests. We especially like the preventive maintenance module. Our PM program has improved dramatically as a result of using Sprocket, and the number of emergency repairs has decreased accordingly. The technical support staff for Sprocket is quick to respond and eager to resolve our concerns as they arise. We are very pleased with the situation.

Easy to transfer jobs from one person to the next in the office

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: The Ease of moving jobs along all from your computer without having to check up on projects you know exactly where they are

Pros:

Cons:

Sometimes the communicating isn't very clear and things get lost in translation sometimes glitching
