About SketchUp
With a powerful 3D modeler, 2D documentation, cloud storage, AR/VR visualization apps, and more, SketchUp's suite gets the job done.
The 3D model store is quite diverse, with a very broad community. I really liked the product and delivers what it promises.
Cons; moving objects can be a little difficult to toggle. It's hard to easily connect different points.

One of the best developments in designing
Comments: I use SketchUp personally for my freelancing work as well as in my profession as a planning civil Engineer. It is important that there are paying categories in this software so that I could use shop pricing plan for my personal business and studio pricing plan for the company. So far it has not disappointed me in designing with SketchUp. It is a good experience.
Pros:
It is a very much user-friendly product compared to other products in design. Every design software needs a time to learn but by using SketchUp I personally save lots of time. As a construction company, we use outputs of this software to make a clear picture for the clients about the project. Importing and exporting data is very much friendly since it allows to import of data in various formats.
Cons:
When it comes to animation, It is time-consuming to learn.
SketchUp Review
Comments: i have been working with sketchup for about 9 years....and i want to learn more about new techniques....
Pros:
i like it when working with new plugins...
Cons:
its easy to use for sketching new designs and 3d designs
SketchUp Review
Comments: It is a fun, easy to use and versatile program that is the perfect application for my profession.
Pros:
It is user friendly, efficient and has a lot of different tools. Having used it for more than 5 years I've become proficient and are able to create interior design layouts with ease and efficiency.
Cons:
It sometimes freezes when using it on Mac. I'm not sure how the experience differs on Microsoft but it can be frustrating when the program freezes on Mac (this would also depend of course on the spec of your computer)
Needs fixes!
Comments: Not bad, needs improvement. Once all the fixes are done, will be okay.
Pros:
Not complicated for simple drawings. Not too expensive.
Cons:
It does not save your color changes in paint. If you create anything in that group it will be lost. You can be working on a drawing and you will get logged off and all your changes are lost.

SketchUp Review
Comments: Overall it is a good program. If studied a little more I could've been able to master it.
Pros:
That O was able to draw on my iPad with ease.
Cons:
It wasn’t too user friendly, it would sometimes draw a line where I didn't want it to. Some of the user tools are hidden and you need to really look for it.
I Used SketchUp for a College Project
Comments: I used the trial version of SketchUp back in 2017, to create the skeleton for 2 sets of environments (a fur-trading fort and a longhouse village). Prior to this, the only 3D program I had used was Sculptris, and I was looking for something that was better with inorganic structures. I enjoyed my time working in the program , and found it relatively easy to pick up and use. That said, I only scratched the surface of what was possible. For context, I only created the exteriors of the buildings, as my end goal was to have 3D references I could then pose and draw over for my project. This also meant that while I built the structures as closely as possible to the real things, I didn't need any of the measurements to be exact.
Pros:
It was perfect for what I wanted to do; building design and camera posing.
Cons:
I can't remember any big issues, but I only used the program for a short while and to create general 3D references.
Draft and easy 3D models of your ideas
Pros:
It is easy to learn, free to download (2017 version) and it can help you easily visualize your project.
Cons:
It is not very precise and it can sometimes be very frustrating to draw complex geometries, it takes some plugins to do it.
easiest 3d modeling software
Comments: for a period of time while I was studying architecture , I didn't have much time to learn rendering professionally , I was short on money and my computer wasn't that strong , sketch up helped me go through that time , providing me with basic renders I needed .
Pros:
in my opinion the most likable aspect of SketchUp is how easy it is to work with . although i took a course to learn how to work with the software ,it wasn't necessary . you can easily learn the software by browsing through YouTube or other free videos .
Cons:
as easy as it is to work with sketch up it doesn't give you a very realistic render. for better and more detailed pictures you either should use another software or improve the renders by using photoshop.
Great for Quick Renderings for Presentation
Comments: Been using this product for 8 years now and it's always my go to for quick renderings.
Pros:
It is quick to mock up to scale drawings. Easy to add color and use extensions to create realistic renderings. I've been trying out the new AI feature for renderings and working well.
Cons:
How everything is a different plane and it doesn't work in complete forms like other programs. Makes editing a drawing difficult if you don't draw it completely right the first time.
SketchUp IS ESSENTIAL
Comments: It is one of the best software for creating 3D models. You can make them as simple or complex as you need.
Pros:
It is an intuitive software. Easy to use. You can get totally professional results.
Cons:
The price could be better compared to other software.
SketckUp is worthless and cons annual
Pros:
It was a great native app for designing and producing architectural home drawings. Now it is a limited web interface that is glitchy and often crashes.
Cons:
SketchUp doesn't work. The web app is limited and crashes—a complete waste of your time.
sketcuo review after 9 years of experience
Comments: overall experience is really joyfull, especially that I can design and manipulate my designs as I wish and edite and model it to real views with render feature and the extensions function that reallyhas a great impact on the speed of work on the software.
Pros:
what I mostly like about sketchup is the friendly user interface use of it, I can design and model any types of shapes, homes, cities ,... I like how I can export and import many different formats of files.
Cons:
the least I like about sketchup is that it requires high resolution cards and high performance processors while rendering.
Sketchup for a hobbyist.
Comments: Sketchup has been overall fantastic. It’s definitely my first application I open when I’m planning any build.
Pros:
Sketchup is very easy to use with just a few YouTube videos as tutorials. Once you start using it to plan your builds it will be an indispensable tool in your toolkit.
Cons:
I wish you could easily color the background or crest ground. Sometimes it’s difficult floating in space. I wish you could use metric and imperial more easily within a project.
Metaverse in a glance
Comments:
Sketcup allow us to simplify and speed uòp the creation and realization of AR/VR solution within the company thanks to the huge amount of 3D content and the simplicigy in the usage of the solution they provided.
We did not need to invest in training of legacy software solution or costly hardware. We did easily everything in the Sketchup platform
Pros:
We started company journey on Augmented and Virtual Reality recently. The big obstacle was the contect creation, that even if it was not so complicated slow down significantly the speed to market of the solution. In fact it request a big knowledge skill on dedicated software not always simply to use.
Cons:
Price of a single 3D object to import sometimes is too high
3D software for students
Comments: SketchUp is not the best 3D model, and I think it's suitable for simple use.
Pros:
SketchUp is one of the easier 3d model creator and editors. it's easy to use, it has significant features.
Cons:
SketchUp is limited in integrations and compatibility with out-of-Google applications.
The Usefulness and Effectiveness of SketchUp
Comments: My overall experience with SketchUp is great. It helps me improve my skills and knowledge about construction and designing field. I am able to design houses, booth, furniture and etc. From beginner up to now that I am fluent in using this software app, Sketchup is the best app for me and I recommend it to all users who are in construction and architectural field. What is best with sketchup is you can you use it as your hobby too if you're interested in designing houses or other this app is for you. 100% effective and useful.
Pros:
The most impactful to me is the User Interface (UI) it is very user friendly and easy to use. From beginner up to expert can use this product. The features are very helpful like the drafting I can pause and continue my work whenever I want while securing the designs I made. All tools are present , the perspective views and designing tools. The subscription plans are affordable.
Cons:
For me, the cons are the third party sometimes it bring hassle for users as it is not the applicable third party app for us. Third party apps are not recommended sometimes and it needs improvement.
Easy to use!
Pros:
It is a very straight forward program. You can model up ideas very quickly with limited knowledge. Great for showing ideas to clients.
Cons:
It tends to freeze with larger models and some of the plugins are behind compared to programmes like Rhino. It could implement 2D drawing more.
Quick to use modelling software
Comments: Provides us with an easy way to build 3D models for use in calculation.
Pros:
It is quick to build a model and easy to learn in the first instance. It has a scripting language and ability to add custom attributes which means it can be used for multiple tasks.
Cons:
Slow for big models with lots of polygons, clipping when distant from origin. The scripts can be slow to run.
Sketchup
Pros:
The quality of the graphics is excellent
Cons:
Searching for products is tedious and time consuming
My favorite program for drawing 3D diagrams clearly and quickly
Comments: In all, my experience with it lasted for more than two years and I am very happy to use it throughout this period
Pros:
Ease of dealing with it, which makes learning it can be done individually without the help of a specialist, using it in drawing and designing kitchens and apartments quickly so that I can deal with customers comprehensively faster and get their modifications immediately
Cons:
The sample menu needs some updates to keep up with modern interior design codes
A User-Friendly 3D Modeling Tool
Comments: As someone who has used Sketchup for several years, including as a student and professor teaching it for landscape architecture and architecture, I can say that my experience with the software has been mostly positive. One of the things I appreciate most about Sketchup is its user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to learn and use even for those with little to no experience in 3D modeling. The software's tools are intuitive and allow users to create accurate and detailed models quickly. The Warehouse feature is also a great asset, as it provides access to a vast library of pre-made 3D models that can be used in designs, saving time and effort in the modeling process. However, I have found that Sketchup can be limited in its ability to handle large-scale projects or complex models, particularly when it comes to working with vegetation or other natural elements that can slow down the software or cause it to crash.
Pros:
- Sketchup has a user-friendly interface that is intuitive and easy to learn, making it a great tool for beginners and professionals alike.- The Warehouse feature allows users to access a wide variety of 3D models, saving time and effort in the modeling process.- Sketchup is ideal for presenting design ideas to clients and stakeholders who may not understand technical drawings.- The software allows users to create floor plans, sections, elevations, and 3D models from a single drawing, streamlining the design process and saving time.
Cons:
- Sketchup can be limited in its ability to handle large-scale projects, particularly when it comes to working with vegetation or other complex models that can slow down the software or cause it to crash.- The pricing of Sketchup can be expensive, especially for those who are just starting out or working on a limited budget.- The trial version of the software is only available for one month, which may not be enough time for users to fully explore all of its features.
I really like Sketchup, it's a light and easy to use app.
Comments: I use it monthly, but with this use it is intention and I never had the expectation of having to redo work or losing data, with this the app has greatly optimized our work.
Pros:
Application that provides free use, for beginners test format, so you can evaluate some of its features.
Cons:
Missing a lot of information within the platform on questions about alternative keys "shortcut keys" for certain commands.
Review about Sketchup
Comments: I have been using Sketchup since design school. Therefore, I have excellent general expertise in it. If you have a high-speed laptop or desktop that is compatible with the program, it is simple, quick, and reliable. Animation is my favorite option in this software, which lets users see how their room will look in real. However, if you wanted your model to appear photoreal, you could upgrade by purchasing a rendering tool that is easy to link with SketchUp. This software also offers free rendering. This application can be used by students who need to create a 3D modeling design for academic purposes.
Pros:
I design amazing spaces for my clients using the Sketchup free version. I have been using Sketchup every day to help my clients picture their perfect space. I, therefore, like the push-pull tool, the measure tool that assists in determining the correct ceiling height needed, and the measurement tool that establishes the specific location of the door and window openings. You can utilize Vray, Lumion, and Enscape and plug into them to create beautiful representations.
Cons:
It fails to drop the objects when attempting to import them from a 3-D warehouse. The number of items in the library is minimal. As a result, the library has a limited selection of textures and materials. If you're using a laptop, you must use the mouse to navigate the software.

SketchUp is the BEST.
Comments: SketchUp is an EXCELLENT product, it is easy to use (yet extremely powerful), inexpensive, and very feature rich.
Pros:
Unlike other 3D modeling programs that (almost) require you to have a degree's worth of training SketchUp is so intuitive and simple you can (almost ) figure it out without any training whatsoever. In about an hour you are designing fairly complex projects. But don't let its easy accessibility fool you, it is CRAZY powerful. SketchUp is just as powerful as programs costing MANY THOUSANDS of dollars. I use several 3D design platforms and SketchUp is always my go to when prototyping ideas or designing 3D printing projects.
Cons:
Going from SketchUp to CNC/CAM isn't great. That is the Achilles heel with this product IMO. Hopefully someday they will improve this area of SketchUp.
Powerful product
Pros:
The ability to easily generate a 3D model from a 2D drawing.
Cons:
The occansional bugsplat issue can be very frustrating.
