Simplified online qualitative with immaculate customer support

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Indeemo allows me to dig deep into "real life behaviors" in a way that's SO easy for participants. It's ideal for IDIs and self-ethnographic research, or even pretask/homework prior to larger, in-person research studies or focus groups. I've used it effectively to find best participants to future/follow-up research and it's meant every participant was fully engaged and interested in participating in the project.

Pros:

Despite its beginnings as a simple way to share photos and text, Indeemo has continued to innovate and become an excellent tool for independent qualitative consultants. Tagging and drop-down options make it easy to drill down into qualitative data, both text, images and videos. Even the participant management allows you to get specific about who has completed activities and the depth of their participation. That said...the support provided sets this platform apart - not only is Indeemo intuitive to use, the creative, helpful and round-the-clock-responsive staff are available to help optimize any study, without additional fees for this consulting.

Cons:

I wish tagging and notes could be shared across users (enabling team or group tagging and note-taking for communication during fieldwork and during analysis)

Indeemo should be part of all qual research!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I am having so much success with indeemo. I feel very confident to try new things because the team is always there for me and my clients. For example, the team critique and make valuable recommendations when I am starting a new project. This is critical for the success of the entire research.

Pros:

It is so easy to build and use it. I particularly love the ability to filter the data in so many ways. I also feel it adds so much value to every qualitative research. For example, I sometimes start the research with indeemo, other times I use it after the focus groups, depending on the need.

Cons:

I love the word cloud but I wish there was a way to customize the choice of words to eliminate the 'noise' (the words that do not mean anything). But that is a small thing not to like.

Indeemo Review

5.0 last year

Pros:

1. The customer support was top notch. Even during weekends and off hours, the support team was able to help problem solve a variety of issues and logistical challenges that include: set up, glitches, helpful tips and tricks, recruiting, etc 2. Doing usability testing it's critical to see what the user is seeing. This platform made it easy to complete unmoderated testing by setting tasks for the user and watching them be completed.

Cons:

This isn't as much against Indeemo, but conducting unmoderated usability testing with very little access to the users was difficult. We had no control over how it was presented to them and there was no incentive for them to complete, so the quality of the results was not what we had hoped. Having some control over how the platform is introduced and an incentive for users to complete the task would have yielded better data.

The ultimate UX platform!

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Indeemo is an extremely intuitive platform for both customers and back-end managers. There is little to no onboarding needed for users – a huge benefit for our project! It was easy to adjust the platform to serve our needs, and Indeemo customer support was always there to clarify any issues we had!

Cons:

Some of the back-end features were hidden and took a while to find about. A slightly improved 'tasks' interface for customer-facing app can also be beneficial – we found an issue that they got lost in a range of questions presented as a scrollable list.

Great features and fantastic customer service

5.0 last year

Pros:

The platform is great. Easy to set up, moderate and has some great analysis tools. However, what stood out the most was the customer service. [sensitive content hidden] and the support team were super responsive and we’re always happy to help with any questions/issues.

Cons:

The media/data download process is complicated and long. A big opportunity for improvement. Breaking down data into segments was also complicated and it made analysis a bit harder.

Great mobile ethnography research tool

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

The customer support at Indeemo is absolutely fantastic. They are helpful from the get go, and although it is very easy to use they provide technical support when needed. The dashboard makes its easy to see your respondent responses and you can communicate in real time with them which is great. The journey mapping feature is also very helpful.

Cons:

When testing with older respondents I have had quite a few technical issues with them unable to complete the research properly. It would also be good if the respondents were able to message the research owner directly in a messaging system rather than to Indeemo who have to pass the message on.

Indeemo General Feedback

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall great experience. We will continue to use Indeemo for most straightforward diary projects but are exploring options for more complex diary studies. As mentioned above, customer service/support is outstanding, the platform is easy to use for administrators, and being app-based (vs website based) is easier for respondents/participants.

Pros:

First off, customer support is top-notch. Sales and support staff are very responsive, helpful instructions are a click away. Second, being an app-based diary platform makes Indeemo easier to use for most respondents and the steps they need to upload responses to tasks are very clear and straightforward. Third, there are multiple reports and query options in Indeemo and the software is easy to use.

Cons:

The inability to program logic into a diary survey and the need to submit different Indeemo Task Templates for different target groups vs one traditional document with skip patterns.

Indeemo has been an asset to Flexcar

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Indeemo has allowed Flexcar to learn about its customers' needs and experiences in-the-moment as they navigated Flexcar's product and service offerings. This has helped us identify gaps in our core experience and strategize around general improvements and edge cases to tend to.

Pros:

For how powerful Indeemo is, setting up studies and collecting data feels effortless. Setting up task lists and target groups is efficient, and Flexcar retains so much control over recruitment, notifications, timelines, and compensation. This makes setting up vastly different studies a breeze and allows Flexcar to tailor the study to the needs of the moment.

Cons:

The Board View can be a bit overwhelming when receiving huge amounts of data of a variety of different data types, especially when trying to find data received in order of submission time. However, Indeemo's filters can help cut out the noise.

Great partner, great product, amazing customer support

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Working with (and in) Indeemo is one of my favorite parts of my job. A lot of other partners/platforms I use take too long to respond to questions, cost too much, don't offer after hours support, and/or are cumbersome to use. But Indeemo is a product I know I can trust with support available whenever I need it.

Pros:

What I like most about the Indeemo platform is the ease of use--for both researchers and respondents. They consistently check-in with clients, continuously monitor user feedback, and, as necessary, make improvements/upgrades that allow for a more efficient and effective for experience. We are really enjoying the new DIY functionality that allows us to program our own task lists for projects. But above all, the reason I would choose Indeemo over competitors is their customer support; they are extremely responsive (after hours and on weekends), knowledgeable, helpful, supportive--Indeemo is one of the best partners I've worked with.

Cons:

The ONLY thing I think would improve my experience is the ability to decide which way my bulk media exports. It would be helpful to be able to download by task instead of by respondent sometimes. Other than that, there is nothing I can think of to improve my experience.

(3 week diary study) Great value & very attentive customer service

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I was looking for an online platform to run a digital diary study with 15 customers over the course of 3 weeks for a large corporate client. From the beginning, the team at indeemo was very helpful, provided me every info I needed and offered a fair pricing model (no forcing customers into yearly subscription packages ...). No product on the market offered me everything I was looking for, but in the end indeemo had the best package. The support / account staff was very proactive in offering my support & quick to reply to all of my questions. Setting up the study could've been a little more convenient, but wasn't really an issue. The study itself ran super smooth. My personal highlight was the stakeholder collaboration - in the end, over 50 of my clients employees joined the study as observers. The fact that everyone was able to take a live-look at all of the participants submissions gave us the opportunity to lead a lot of productive discussions around customer understanding and product improvements. Further, the acceptance of the study's results was way higher than usual.I'm really looking forward to running another study on indeemo & seeing some of the new features the team has planned.

Pros:

- Stakeholder collaboration (online platform to showcase a live customer research study)- Support in setting up the study & excellent customer support along the way- Project based pricing model (especially compared to the competition)- Transcription & search features - it was very easy to scan through the submissions (of which we had over 500)- Featureset around sending reminders & getting in touch with participants

Cons:

- Toolset for setting up the study could be a bit more easy to use- (Currently) No way to integrate survey-type questions right into the study- Some problems with screen recordings on Android (we could resolve these, but they required some additional communication)- Look & feel of the platform and App is a bit outdated (imo), but that didn't have any negative impact on the study

Full Service Mobile Research Tool

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: In general, Indeemo is the one tool that does the bulk of all that you need for mobile research. So many other companies lack at least one critical element that is always a dealbreaker - like no screen recording, no AI transcription, etc.

Pros:

So many other companies have tools that are very DYI- requiring the clients to figure out how to set up studies, manage issues, etc. on their own. Indeemo will review the task guides for feedback on how to best craft them, upload them into the study for you, and give you easy access for making edits. Also, they are one of the few companies that has AI transcription of videos.

Cons:

It is very cumbersome to track the new responses. Once read, you must find your own workaround to code them as read. The feed can feel a bit chaotic at times when trying to find the new stuff. That being said, I have found an acceptable workaround but wish there was a better one.

Intuitive Qualitative Study & Analysis

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: The Indeemo team were fantastic to collaborate with! Although our team is based in Melbourne, the Indeemo team were there 24/7, and all across our project even on weekends! It was a breath of fresh air not having to repeat or give context to what my query was, and the Indeemo team were super responsive and proactive in problem-resolution, patient with our queries and also very intuitive with our needs and giving information sessions.

Pros:

I loved how easy the whole process of using Indeemo was, from setting up a briefing call with the Indeemo team, submitting the task guide, uploading respondents, moderating, and analyzing the community. The platform is very intuitive and user-friendly, allowing users and administrators to be self-sufficient.

Cons:

I think some opportunities for improvement would be to explain/ notify administrators to not allocate their segments prior to uploading respondents. Also, to help manage user interaction, ensure the response template email includes a new email address, not to reply back to the individual moderator. These small notifications will make those small hurdles much more manageable.

Great research tool and a well designed platform

5.0 last year

Pros:

I appreciated the easy-to-use platform, which made the qualitative research painless in both conducting and analyzing. We were able to cover more of the "real-world" phenomenon our client's customers experience. The AI tool, which was in beta during my use, was also effective and made it more efficient to find more insights.

Cons:

I think it would be great if there was a way to have more data visuals connected to the other platform features, such as the tags and notes. Especially if it could be overlayed with the journey map.

Great platform for in-context consumer insights.

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

It's easy to use both for us - as the project leads and for the research participants who are using it. Love the ability to collect multimedia submissions - text, photos, video clips, etc. Potential for qualitative research applications for UX, customer journey, exploratory, virtual iterative ideation, qualitative product testing and more. Appreciate the features that have been added over the past couple of years - video transcripting, video tags, DIY project setup, etc.

Cons:

Not sure I have anything constructive to add here. Indeemo is a flexible platform--limited only by imagination.

Awesome tool for UX Diary Studies

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Using Indeemo was easy throughout the whole study. I LOVED asking questions back and forth with users; it allowed us to engage in a deeper back-and-forth. The recording of their experience was amazing and has allowed us to shine a more realistic light on our user's experience. The export functionality was solid and made it easy to bring our data into our central repository/library. Customer support was engaged. Being in Australia, the time difference did make things a bit more tedious and slow to set up and deal with, but all-in-all, it was really supportive and easy.

Pros:

The ease for our users to engage in our study. We have many challenges with users engaging with research, but the Indeemo app was quite easy for them! There were a few people that fell off the study or got stuck, but the vast majority were fine.

Cons:

The effort to get the project set up. The filtering of the submissions was quite repetitive and a bit clunky. It felt like I had to completely redo a thing, as opposed to continuously adjusting my filter or parameters, which is my more organic approach.

Indeemo Review

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

The product was very easy to use and the support team was very helpful in getting set-up. They provided details and thought starters about how best to run our project, were always available with any questions, and provided support services throughout the entire project.

Cons:

Being able to download photos so they show in a usable format once opening a zip file instead of having to resize would be great, but it's not a deal breaker.

Excellent qualitative research platform

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Qualitative research is crucial to understand what the consumer thinks and feels instead of making your own assumptions. Indeemo allows us to conduct high quality research quickly and easily and provides excellent customer support along the way.

Pros:

We frequently use Indeemo to conduct in-depth consumer research with individuals. It is easy to program missions in the tool and scouts (the individuals completing the research) understand the intuitive interface. Best of all, there are multiple tools to slice and dice the data on the back end. You can look across tasks, apply filters, read the transcripts instead of watching the videos, and export data /videos easily. We love this tool.

Cons:

The one feature that would be helpful would be clipping together videos across respondents. We often like to create a highlight reel of our favorite videos and need to export the clips and knit them together on another program

A great tool for journey mapping and overall mobile ethnography

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: The platform is easy to use for both administrators and respondents and the team could not be more pleasant to work with!

Pros:

I love the look of the platform. It has a Pinterest look to it and the new journey map tool offers a highly visual output clients love.

Cons:

Some users reported confusion with having to choose a destination for their response, and sometimes we noted responses being appended to the wrong activity.

Indeemo for an online community

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: The support I received from [sensitive content hidden] Fortune was top notch, she helped us to set up the project, gave us a briefing call and provided great advice throughout. Participants found the platform easy to use and the download function allowed us to save all data easily. I was very happy with the service and would definitely use it again, or refer it to a colleague.

Pros:

We were drawn to Indeemo for this project mainly because of the ease of use for the participant but also particularly for the journey mapping tool. The journey mapping tool allowed our participants to track their experience over the last two years and was a visually powerful way of communicating their stories. A success in terms of participant and client satisfaction.

Cons:

The dashboard can appear overwhelming to look at, at first. I was happier once I realised I could view posts as a chronological list instead.

Extremely helpful tool

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: My overall experience using Indeemo has been excellent. I love the team. They are supportive, knowledgeable and helpful. The app itself is pretty intuitive and easy to navigate, and the wealth of information you can gather through it is powerful.

Pros:

Indeemo is a great tool to help prime people in a qual study. It allows us to gain deep insight into their lives in a form that is intuitive and natural to people. I love the depth that can be gathered over time, while remaining fun and light.

Cons:

Sometimes, the features and amount of information gathered can be overwhelming. Thus, less is more.

Operational Excellence

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I have worked with other similar platforms. For me, Indeemo is the best option, not only for the main users but for the extended team that works with the platform too.

Pros:

It is very intuitive, robust, and easy to use. I am having a fantastic experience of over 3+ years using the platform. It is an organization that is always there to help. The support team always answers immediately no matter the time zone in the world you are in, or even if it is a weekend. When a technical problem arises, the team is very attentive and resolves issues right away.

Cons:

In countries with no 5G technology or zones with poor internet or wi-fi, videos can take longer to be uploaded. This situation can sometimes cause frustration from participants. That is not an error of the platform but the infrastructure in some countries.
