"A huge boost to mazimize your chances of success in the industry."

Comments: Hands down they win a badge for best software. Houzz already has a great reputation in the industry. This sofware behaves likes no other. User-friendly and it connects you to real customers. There is still lots I have yet to learn. In between two clients I surf and develop my knowledge, so it can become my virtual assistant.

Pros: The intuitive side of it is undeniable. It is so convenient.

Cons: The lack of support. Sometimes when you just need a quick answer you cannot reach anyone at Houzz over the phone.

"Great Platform to get organized"

Comments: We started with it, but migrating the project management to another, more robust platform.
We use it only for customer database and basic follow ups on the lead generation.
It is a good platform for a starter company, with all the basic features needed for a complete workflow management.

Pros: - Lead generation & customer communications.
- Estimating, basic pricing.
- Scope change is good
- Property details, based on the address

Cons: Budgeting - its very basic. Needs to be able to separated materials & labor costs on the totals.
Integration with Quickbooks
Email marketing - all the contacts are available in the system, but needs to be exported to another platform for follow-up

"Great integration of portfolio, website, advertising"

Comments: I have had a steady reliable account manager who regularly checks in with me to outline new features that were introduced, and even actually created the first version of our website which I subsequently tweaked a bit and personalized, but I was really impressed that she took the time to do this. This is definitely unique in the marketplace.

Pros: I like the integration between our Houzz profile content and creating a website from it. It allows me to keep a portfolio of our work that I can direct clients to along with the creation and management of our website which is hosted by Houzz. It provides a single portal for managing leads from people who choose us in general searches on Houzz such as what they call Houzz Project Match, to leads that come directly through our website which is hosted by Houzz. They all show up in the same place. With the addition of the website tools and a fair bit of customization of our website using them, it has really provided an easy solution for a fair bit of our marketing. I would highly recommend it, especially for a smaller company that does not already have an up to date website. Also, remarkably, since hosting our website on Houzz our organic search engine ranking is unexpectedly high after switching over a year ago.

Cons: I would love even more website creation tools but I also recognize that with more complexity, it might go beyond my capability to use these new tools.

"Pearl Remodeling"

Comments: We think Houzz Pro is rapidly evolving and we believe it can beat the level of service that Yelp or other local listings have to offer.

Pros: Our company likes the analytical information, lead generation information, and the profile settings given to us. The information we receive is valuable such as addresses, phone numbers, project information, and metrics we can use to create strategies for our company.

Cons: Although we do receive valuable information, we wish it was easier to download it into a pdf or an excel document. Additionally, we wish the layout of the incoming leads was organized a different way so we can easily see information quickly or sort leads by month, project types, and etc. We wish we could obtain emails of the leads we receive to build an email list. The ultimate dream would be for Houzz to connect to our CRM program Builder's Trend.

"Houzz"

Comments: The business problems that have been solved by Houzz have been making my business visible and boosting it with reviews, and the SEO of my website. In the past I have used individuals to manage my website and SEO at great expense and with minimal effect, and have tried to use a variety of ways to make my business visible. Houzz has taken care of all of this,

Pros: The most important feature on Houzz for me is the quality of their customer service reps. Over the years I have had several, some are more attentive than others. My current rep is [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and he is wonderful. He calls on a regular basis and always answers my questions in a timely manner. This is important because I sometimes get stuck on the technical aspects of Houzz. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] always explains what is going on and how I should use the technology to boost my business. The other terrific aspect of Houzz is that it manages my website and SEO. This has been invaluable.

Cons: The hardest thing for me is that the technology sometimes gets ahead of me.

"Centralizing our systems"

Comments: I am still new to houzz pro as I was one of the original ivy uses before it grew into a larger program. We are still learning all the new features and had no idea there really was so much here!

Pros: The invoicing tool is hands down the most utilized because our clients NEED pictures, truly. One might think they ordered a bronze faucet and forget they changed and approved a matte black one-this happens alot with clients as they have alot of changes in their home, or they are moving, etc. The clarity we offer this way is a huge help to clients as they are on the go and might not have all of the boards/files we gave them. They can pull up their dashboard on their phone, or their ipad.

Cons: We do not sync with quickbooks as we actually found it faster for us not to integrate. Appreciate having the option to choose, though.

"Best Marketing Partner"

Comments: Great. I can easily have mtgs with my customer support person. I get immediate leads.

Pros: Posting testimonials from my Clients. Being able to post pix from my completed projects. Posting pix of their projects as part of my "thanks for the review" section - but I have to do that at the same time I reply. Using videos albeit I don't use that feature enough.

Cons: The fill in the blank design elements per page in a project are not detailed enough The fact that I can't easily print out the lead inquiry with the phone # I have to print it out, and then hand type the phone # Not being able to add project pix to a review...AFTER I had replied with just text. Usually I don't have pro shots ready when someone writes up a review BUT I ALWAYS reply to them via Houzz on the review page thanking them for reviewing me.

"Houzz Pro - It's a must have!!"

Pros: There are so many moving parts to running a business and having Houzz Pro supports me as a business owner to stick to what I am best at. I can track leads, follow up, and manage projects. Plus it even provides the ability to create a current looking website. For companies that have outdated sites (a real no-no in today's market), this feature alone is the only reason you need to sign up for Houzz Pro.

Cons: Admittedly I am not a fan of change, so when Houzz Pro updates things (for the better) it requires me to adjust and learn. Not bad, it just takes me a bit to get reoriented. All for the good though. They try to be very forward thinking and I like that about them so in the end, it's worth it.

"Started off slow but is now a very good investment"

Comments: Until the help I received from [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], my overall impression was that Houzz took up more time than it was worth. I spent a lot of hours contacting people but very few responded back and, even if they did respond, I didn't land a single project. After [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] tweaking of the system, I have landed quite a few projects and I am much happier. The investment is paying for itself and that is what I was counting on. Thank you, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]!

Pros: I like the ability to keep track of all my potential clients in one spot and see the status of each project in one location. I also like the reminders I receive to keep up with clients that have not responded or have not yet been contacted by me.

Cons: The software is easier to use on the desktop rather than a mobile device such as my phone. I cannot respond to my clients who send me requests because the text I type in to respond is covered with the keyboard. No matter how I move the keyboard up and down, I cannot see the text I am typing unless I close the keyboard window. Very frustrating.

"Houzz Pro makes running my interior design firm so much easier"

Comments: Houzz Pro is helping me easily take care of presenting to, proposing to and invoicing clients that is simple to use for my office and for the clients. I have gotten paid so much faster using Houzz Pro--my accounts receivable is MUCH lower than it has been in the past.

Pros: This makes great mood boards, beautiful proposals and invoices, is super easy to use and fairly seamless to integrate with Quickbooks.

Cons: There are occasions when the QB interface goes awry but it is usually quickly fixed by customer service.

"Leads for Contractors"

Comments: I like my current Houzz manager [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]

Pros: Its easy to use. Its easy to message a potential client.

Cons: I wish you could copy and paste the customers information especially the phone number. I typically get the lead and then have to text it to my scheduler. If I could copy and then paste the information in a text message it would make life much easier.

We have a terrific Client Success Manager who keeps us up-to-date and checks in to see what they can do to help our business grow. We see Houzz Pro as an essential partnership for many years to come.

Pros: Houzz Pro provides useable behind-the-scenes support.

Cons: The software hits the right note. Time is our enemy so we have not had the time to integrate more Houzz Pro features. But we know many more features await us when we are ready to engage at the next level.

"Houzz Review"

Pros: The ease of navigating through the website makes my daily use less complicated. Having someone who dedicated to our accounts helps when I have questions on how to improve our site.

Cons: My least favorite aspect is the messaging format. Other sites have the unread messages bolded so they stand out, this is not the case for Houzz and it can be frustrating when at a slight glance you think that you have read and responded to all of the messages.

"The truth about Houzz Pro"

Comments: Houzz pro works but it takes allot of time and patience to develop and portfolio over time. Its downsize is the tire kickers who do not anwser phones are emails making it a not so great experience for the contractor.

Pros: The software reaches a board audience with an algorithm designed to place your photos and services to a customer based on the amount a company wants to pay. It's like buying TV time in a super bowl ad. For this purpose it serves as a ad campaign . You really are buying space on the website.

Cons: The down side to the software is it has allot of bells and whistles that seem great like the CRM and project management but do not get used if you do not have allot of traffic or customers. Once you get a lead, you MUST call and email numerous times to get the attention of the customers. There is allot of tire kickers which make it difficult to manage time to whom the real serious customer is within the leads. The answer from Houzz on this problem is the old school mentality of relentless calling of the lead. It would be nice to see a change to the software to weed out the less serious customers . The service offered is good in theory but is expensive if I have to constantly email and call a customer that really is not interested .

"Non-computer user"

Comments: Great tech support. Has simplified estimate making. Still learning on other features of programs.

Pros: For someone who’s transitioned from field work to desk jockey, this program is easy to start with and become educated in while continuing to grow your business.

Cons: There are multiple duplications that must be deleted when putting together an estimate.

"Very Worthwhile Investment!"

Comments: Houzz is a stable base for leads and we really appreciate the service.

Pros: I like that there is a beautiful site that show are products and that prospective clients can view, including photos and videos. I like having the record of the leads and the notification of the lead and messaging.

Cons: I have had issues printing the leads. Its format doesn't allow me to print a page showing all the information like it used to.

"Positive Response From Houzz Pro"

Comments: HC Design previously left a review regarding problems we had with our Houzz Pro subscription However after contacting [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] I was directed to Houzz Pro manager [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] who immediately addressed and managed our issues. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was extremely accommodating and sensitive to our requests by setting us up with a more experienced client success manager and adjusted our account right away. Thank You Houzz Pro!

Pros: Houzz Pro is set up in a way that our company can view exactly how progress is growing for the account and what specifically the software has done to market your brand and services.

Cons: I believe those who use Houzz pro would benefit more if they had more control over the specific areas in which the software is marketing too. (smaller range)

"Houzz Flexibility"

Comments: Houzz is a comprehensive solution to my business with regular support from an account executive to help me navigate the many features. I particularly like the detailed information of photos saved from my portfolio that helps me understand what has general appeal.

Pros: Seeing the photos saved by potential clients as it gives you an understanding of styles that are preferred by the community

"Houzz is our only regular marketing spend!"

Pros: We have been with Houzz from early days in Canada - we love the fact it gives us an opportunity to present our full portfolio to our clients. We use it to send over similar projects that leads are looking for.

Cons: We don't have complaints about Houzz. Sometimes we have questions on how the best of Houzz is decided.

"Good Management tool for leads and projects"

Comments: A place to manage all the projects and products list. Room boards are really helpful.

Pros: Leads capturing and management are easy with Houzz Pro. It also helps with the individual project management and room boards are a nice feature.

Cons: It would be nice to have a way to incorporate the individual project room board items into a concept/mood board rather than selecting from the vast list of products.
Another helpful feature would be to have overall project time management for all the projects rather than individual.

Comments: Overall the experience has been good with many leads generated. The sales person has to be on top of the leads and pursue them to see which ones are real and achievable. Good source of sales!

Pros: Ease of use and the management representative also helped to understand the enhanced features.
