Learn more about Teladoc Health

Pros:

Easy to use very quick not expensive. Easy to find and sign in from my device.

Cons:

You will wait no less than 2 hours for an appointment which the provider can then cancel with no explanation. The phone call appointments just don't work if you have an iPhone apparently.

My Doc Uses Teladoc

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: No problems whatsoever and actually save time and money by not having to leave home to visit with my doctors

Pros:

I was able to use this product as a consumer and have visited with a couple of my doctors using Teleadoc in the past year.

Cons:

No cons whatsoever. I Will continue to use Teladoc to visit with my medical staff and doctors, on an as-needed basis.

Doctor on the Go

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: My overall experience with Teladoc has been completely positive.

Pros:

I have found Teladoc most helpful when I am feeling ill while traveling, or don't have the time to wait to see my primary care physician. No matter where you are, you are able to speak with a doctor who can prescribe you basic medication based on your symptoms. You can even speak to a doctor over a video call if you have visible symptoms to show the doctor. I was on a trip once with a very sore throat, and the doctor was able to prescribe me medication within minutes. It's also incredibly cost efficient, at only $5 per Teladoc appointment as opposed to my normal copay of $30 for a visit to my primary care physician.

Cons:

I have zero complaints about Teladoc. It's a very cost efficient alternative to visiting your PCP, and you can do use the app from your phone, which in this day and age is incredibly convenient.

Terrible and Useless Service

1.0 11 months ago

Comments: Terrible and useless service. Was lied to by the Dr and told no one was allowed to prescribe medicine for my condition until testing was complete but that same morning after consulting elsewhere was prescribed the medicine i needed within an hour. I even told him I had been through this issue before in the past and had been prescribed the medicine needed. Requested a refund and was refused so wasted money. Call on doc helped me with what i actually needed instead.

Pros:

The first customer service rep I spoke to was very kind and understanding

Cons:

Everything, pricier than other services and does not even help and will lie to you.

Great usability as a patient

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

As a user, I was able to put my health information into the system on a one-time basis and then each provider I see can access it while guiding my care. It’s easy to connect with a provider either with video or telephone and the app tells you which will be faster. I once convinced myself that I actually did have a UTI and talked to the Teladoc provider while on a hike. The medicine was ready at the pharmacy by the time we were done. It was amazing utilizing this technology!

Cons:

There is little ability to talk to the provider about questions or follow up after your visit which is frustrating.

Super Convenient

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: I had a very positive experience with Teladoc. I didn’t have to take off work for a basic ailment because Teladoc had me scheduled same day! The docs are professional and do the best they can within the setup. I’d recommend Teladoc for basic doctor needs.

Pros:

My work insurance offers Teladoc and it is so incredibly convenient for the basics! The app is really easy to set up and walks you through everything. Scheduling appointments is easy and it’s fast! I was able to receive a call in about 15 minutes on more than one occasion. The docs were efficient. Totally beats going to the clinic for a minor issue that can be solved with a phone call.

Cons:

The software itself is just fine. The only con is that it’s on the patient to know when to forego the program and actually go see a doctor, and if that isn’t done with good judgement, patient may have to be seen more than once. Not a fault of the program though. The program is very user friendly.

Terrible - Everything about this platform is terrible

1.0 last year

Comments: Horrible. Never ever use this platform

Pros:

Nothing, absolutely nothing. I will never ever use this platform again.

Cons:

The doctor accused me of calling in for prescription drugs. Never listened to me, proceeded to tell me about her 35 yrs of experience. I then called customer service to report the doctor and she did absolutely nothing. She was condescending and I later found out she never actually submitted my feedback. I ended up going to my GP in person and found out I had walking pneumonia. Funny how that came full circle.

Terrible Service

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: Terrible service for online physician. The physician I was matched with was a surgeon and I was calling about a nasal infection. They never called me back and they cancelled the appointment without calling me.

Pros:

No pros. Nothing good to say about the software.

Cons:

Can not message back if you have a problem online. Appointment was cancelled stating that they could not contact me, but I never received a phone call. You are charged immediately many hours before the call.

Teladoc is convenient

4.0 3 years ago

Pros:

Easy to schedule appointments and very professional doctors. I like how it is now free without insurance which makes it accessible to more people.

Cons:

Customer service is a little delayed and it takes a while to receive “forgot password” email which can be annoying if you’re in a rush

works pretty well

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: convenient for a quick easy script like im sure would be great for pink eye or a rash or decongestant or something small.

Pros:

not too hard to set up and use, if you have insurance the copay can be less than your standard office visit.

Cons:

no way of getting tests. the care is a bit limited. if you need a test, then I bet you have to pay twice

Useless Garbage

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: I tried getting an excuse note (something they say they do) and:
- spent one full day trying to use their phone appointments (which did not work,)
- finally got someone on a video appointment but found out after the appointment, I couldn't open the file with my excuse note,
- spent another full day making video appointments, only to have them canceled with no explanation
- then finally had an extremely rude interaction with customer service saying my request couldn't be granted and that's why the providers were canceling on me. (Even though one of the providers was clearly able to do so)
Honorable Mentions:
- Downloading their useless app
- Having to call up my phone provider to see if they were blocking calls only to have them tell me they weren't
- The rude customer service rep AGREEING that the "no explanation cancelation" policy was a bad one and telling me nothing would be done about it.
- Generally wasting two days of my life on a non-functional software

Pros:

Absolutely nothing. Not a single redeeming quality.

Cons:

- You will wait no less than 2 hours for an appointment which the provider can then cancel with no explanation - The phone call appointments just don't work if you have an iPhone apparently - The phone app is unusable garbage that will kick you from your account if you're inactive for too long (and there's no option to stay signed in nor save your sign-in info) - Customer service will pretend to try to help you but they're incapable of solving anything - One customer service representative got very snarky with me, told me doctors were canceling on me and there was nothing I can do, then put me on hold as I was venting my frustration. (I don't remember who that guy was, but I hope he gets fired) - All around waste of time and resources; go literally anywhere else.

Useless Dr [SENSITIVE CONTENT]

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: I made an appointment yesterday for a cough, stuffy nose and really bad ear ache (throbbing) I explained this to Dr.[SENSITIVE CONTENT]which she replied it sounds like a common cold so use a warm compress on your ear and it will help with the paid (I know what an ear infection feels like when I get one which my ear drum buss every time so i always try to catch it earlier. The Dr. told me there was nothing they can do and was there anything else she could help me with, I explained yes and i talked to her more, her response was "I cannot help you and order your a prescription for you at this time as this will heal on its own." I have been taking over the counter meds for this and its getting worse. I told her i was not happy with this visit that i wanted to speak with someone else. She said sorry Call back tomorrow have a great day. I call back this morning, which it was worse customer service than the Dr. The customer service supervisor was not professional at all and talked not professionally. I asked to speak with someone else because she was so rude and this lady told me is there anything i can help you with further I replied yes, I told her how I felt and she said I am sorry have a great day goodbye and hung up in my face.. So I schedule an appointment with my dr. go this morning and I do have a sinus infection and a double ear infection. I had to pay my copay twice in two days. I WANT A REFUND. If I do not get it i was just keep escalating this issue.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Everything

Unhelpful doctors and lack in training of customer care reps

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: My first appt was cancelled by the doctor 2 minutes before the appt time and the doctor said they could not call me. Got a second doctor scheduled by one of the customer care reps who screened my concerns for the appt but did not say whether the Dr could discuss them properly. My questions were LGBTQ related and overall I feel this company does NOTHING to acknowledge the topics that this community needs to discuss with doctors. They have no way to filter doctors in this area, so you get assigned random doctors that are conservative and honestly feel uncomfortable speaking on these sensitive issues. After a short 3.5 minute long call, no resolution and was told my issue isn't urgent care related so talk to your PCP. How is this company around?!

Pros:

Cool app. That's really about it. Easy to use.

Cons:

There's no accountability and your charged for a 4 minute conversation where the doctor cannot help you if your question is non-urgent care.

Get a useless appointment Rx and nothing else.

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: I am so tired of Drs saying they are going todo something and then they dont do it. Leaving you feeling crazy for seeking help in the first place. Im tired of being rushed through my appointments. No one wants to listen and no one follows through. If you say you are going to upload a notice for work then do that, dont leave me hanging. If you schedule an appointment with me do not cancel on me. Listen to me when I speak and take my concerns seriously. Its like going through a factory on an assembly line. Im a real person!

Pros:

nothing. How can i like being rushed off the phone, given a prescription and then having my Dr not keep his word?

Cons:

everything, I do not like this platform.

Great service!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Allows me to stay working. I do not have to take off 3 hours to go to the doctor. Doctor Amy Merritt is the best! The last service I received was the best teladoc experience I have had. I would rate her service 5 stars and request her every time if I could. I know that's not how it works but she was the best.

Pros:

Easy to use connected with a doctor fast.

Cons:

I wish that once you find a physician that you like you could request to use that doc as a first choice if available.

Horrible. Do not use Teladoc

1.0 4 years ago

Comments: I am very dissatisfied with Teladoc. They took my $ and did not provide the service I was asking for. Now they have deleted my account and I can't login in to retrieve what they said to provide to my primary doctor. I needed a prescription for a very safe simple medication (Nizoral) I was using. I thought that I would try Teladoc since it seems to be quick and I need no appointment. It is hard to see my primary doctor now since due to COVID. They took my $ and said I don't need to drug, but instead give me a recommendation to go buy an OTC drug. I've used Nizoral many times before and it's very safe to use. I made a mistake by using Teladoc. I will surely spread the word about this horrible scam.

Pros:

Absolutely Nothing. This company is a scam.

Cons:

Worth a try to save time

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: Very favorable in fairness now, one time where tech can save time when used correctly and efficently

Pros:

Saves the hassle of making an appointment, travelling to Dr office, time wasted sitting on the paper sheet for up to an hour (not uncommon if Dr is busy ** despite having an appointment), gets to the point and get a 10 minute visit over in ten minutes , rather than 1 hr & 10 minutes

Cons:

The video connection can be a bit IFFY on occasion and takes a few minutes to set up with the provider

prescription was never called in - and when I wrote in the replies we general and standard...!

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: I wrote them many times asking why the doctor never called in a script - and they gave me some bull honkey about vit c and vit d. Please do yourself a favor never use them - they refused my $75 refund...stating some company policy rubbish - their service it terrible - rather call CVS or Care Now

Pros:

I was very disappointed when after talking with the provider [SENSITIVE CONTENT] - he discussed calling in a prescription to my pharmacy for Augmentin - however, that was not the case - He never called in the prescription!

Cons:

The doctor and support team are liars and wont follow-through - just a money-making scam taking advantage of sick people

I was lied to

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: Tried 1 time and never will again. Couldn't verify my insurance so I was told if I paid cash then they would get me all the info to file for reimbursement with my insurance. Not true 8 hours of phone calls and can not get the needed info of procedure code and description because when you cash pay their system doesn't generate one. Eas told 15 to 30 minutes (hour max) to see Dr and 2 and a half hours later finally saw one. Dr prescribed warm compress and eye drops and when it didn't get better I had to see my Dr who said an oral antibiotic should have been prescribed. I filed complaint with better Business Bureau and they responded "call customer serv8ce". I explained I had already spent 7 or 8 hours doing that and they responded "call customer service ". I gave 8n and called and customer service said "sorry I see the notes where you've called before and there's nothing we can do".
Dishonest, unreliable, and not an effective cure.

Pros:

I was able to see a Dr about a minor problem from home

Cons:

Honest eta to see dr posted while you wait.

waste of money

1.0 5 years ago

Comments: when I called for a refund after being told by a doctor to go to a doctor they said no because I talked to the doctor.

Pros:

this is a waste of money. They tell u to go to a doctor when thats obviously what your doing by calling them

Cons:

The doctor took my call and told me i could be suffering from something major or something minor and should go to the doctor. Which I obviously already knew from Google which told me that for free. I was trying to go to a doctor which is why i paid 45 dollars for the call. I did not get told any new information this is a joke

Was pleasantly surprised!

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: Great! I will definitely use them again for basic stuff.

Pros:

Was the first time ever using a virtual doctor. My daughter had an ear infection and I figured it was a good time to try it out. The doctor called very quickly and confirmed she had swimmers ear and called in a prescription.

Cons:

Because the service was through my husbands insurance I wasn’t able to setup the account for my kids so that was a pain but customer support was great and she explained that his company had it set that way.

I waited for 3 days without an appointment during COVID-19

1.0 5 years ago

Comments: worst company ever.

Pros:

None. I didn't like this software. It was awful

Cons:

I had to wait for 3 days for them to even contact me. Then they asked me if I still wanted to be on a waiting list. I couldn't get any doctor to see me so this was my best chance of getting my COVID symptoms evaluated, but turns out they ddidn't have time to see me either
