Excellent Company

Comments: Excellent. [sensitive content hidden] made the process easy and was involved with every step of our integration.

Pros:

I have used ADP on and off with companies I have owned or been an officer of since 1997. The company and the people who work here are knowledgeable and good people to work with.

Cons:

The software is not well put together and doesn't flow naturally. Additionally, screens will freeze on you and you will have to start over.

ADP is easy and simple to use

Comments: I feel confident in ADP as a company. As i have know about them for a very long time. Since at least 1980 in Syosset NY. Long story short, I have seen them grow over the years and i know how things are run there. They have been around a long long time and have only grown with time. So i have the utmost respect and confidence in ADP as a company.

Pros:

Customer service is spot on. I always can get help when i need it and i get to speak to a human being. I like the ease of inputting information and feel like they actually care.

Cons:

Just a little pricey. But i feel confident that i always have help. As a small business owner in NY we just pay so much for everything. But as a service in NY i get that it is a cost to run a business. Our payroll is our whole business. We do our best to save on costs but its not easy.

ADP Run Review

Comments: Poor experience but still gets the job done with processing payroll

Run has the basics in processing payroll

Cons:

There were many features in RUN that were suboptimal or that just didn't work at all. Their support teams were horrendous.

Good service, but expensive

Pros:

Overall, I'm satisfied with the ADP payroll service. I've used many of the payroll services on the market (ADP, Paycheck, Heartland, Patriot). I think ADP is one of the better ones. The reporting interface is super easy to use, and their direct deposit is the best among competitors. By that, I mean the required deposit dates, in order to make payroll processing, you just need 1 day in advance to get the money ready in your account, everyone else need minimum 3 days.

Cons:

One of the pricer options among competitors. I ran weekly payroll for 8 - 10 employees, with a big discount, it costs me about $75-$90 per payroll. in comparison, Patriot only costs around $65 per month (4-5 payrolls)! One other thing to consider is (this is true to all payroll service companies), that your salesperson probably won't be there for too long, other words, once they sign you up, they will pretty much disappear, good luck getting any support from them, every time you ask for help, they'll just refer to customer service 800 number. it makes you feel like, you're on your own.

ADP will save you time and money!

Comments: We love ADP. There are not many times we need customer support so that doesn’t keep us from continuing this product.

I love the payroll reminders and the ability to update employees in real time.

Cons:

Often times the customer service is really backed up and you experience long wait times.

ADP Run User

Comments: Overall experience is a very positive one. It does everything I need to make running payroll easy for me.

Pros:

I love the chat feature. If I ever need anything they are always there to help. Paid Time Off tracking is very useful.

Cons:

There is nothing that really that I can think of that I don't like.

ADP Run is good for small business

nothing!! i suggest to run away from adp asap!! no customer support at all.

they Dont comunicate with customers, the have a sales team that wont reply to emails or take for ever to reach back about key problems or issues, i was a customer for adp in the roll, platform and was changing to run from adp, all of sudden my account was terminated with no explanation what so ever, for a whole week i was trying to reach support to see where my account was, they never gave me answers nothing, that is was in implementation, reach out to that department and they said it was terminated because i didnt run payroll!! omg how can we run payroll if we where never notified that it was ready to do so!! no sense then, the only thing they can say am really sorry sir, we are sorry sir, we will have the sales person manager reach out to you then again they never do!!!

My Review of RUN by ADP

Pros:

The ease of entering payroll, the ease of keep tracking of jobs and tasks worked.

Cons:

Sometimes the vacation tracking isnt exactly correct. Need to make changes to it pretty much all the time

Great software

Comments: I have had a great experience so far. I have been using ADP for 2 years and will continue.

Pros:

The ease of setting up payroll and my account executive is very responsive.

Cons:

The cost went up by $10 a month when I cancelled the 401K plan

Mostly Easy to Use

Comments: Helping us keep in compliance with State law.

Pros:

Timekeeping feature is a great timesaver.

Cons:

There are still glitches with changing employee status (say from contractor to full time employee) Have had to call the help desk EVERY time I do this.

ADP: Easy to Navigate

Comments: ADP was easy to learn and easy to navigate. It has helped for all of my documents and financial processes to be all in one place. It is serving its purpose very well.

Pros:

ADP has an intuitive interface with a user-friendly platform. It's a one-stop shop. It makes it easy to sign in, enter hours, see pay stubs, view and print tax documents, and log out.

Cons:

On the management side, the only thing that I could dislike is having to add-on features a la carte because the service will end up more expensive than initially intended. But for now, ADP serves my needs.

Easy to Use for Small Start Ups

Comments: Starting my own non-profit, I was looking for ease of use to run payroll and submit taxes. There is so much to figure out when starting up and taxes and payroll seemed overwhelming to me. However, this has Run ADP has made this all a 5 minute part of my month. And, I have no stress that I am in compliance. I thought ADP was only for large companies, but well worth the investment to save me lots of time.

Pros:

The best part of ADP is the real live person you can call to get help in setting up and with any questions.

Cons:

I got a lot of follow up sales calls for other aspects, but told them no, but kept receiving the calls.

Run Powered by ADP Amongst Small Business Payroll Options

Comments: Overall, Run Powered by ADP is good for established businesses.

Pros:

Run Powered by ADP is fairly user friendly and easy onboarding process as well has many payroll reporting features for the company as well as employees.

Cons:

Run Powered by ADP is a bit more pricey than other payroll apps that are available for small businesses. I don't think it is the best payroll app for small businesses that are just starting out.

Pretty good. Reliable. Ach and Direct Deposit

Comments: Pretty good. Lot of kinks when setting up and lots of issues but once dialed in easy to use and works well.

Pros:

Just easy to use. Could have better training to use features if they are available. Does the job.

Cons:

Separate charge for w2s at year end. Unable to cancel payroll once submitted even if it’s before with draw.

ADP RUN for a Law Firm

Comments: Overall ADP run has allowed us to spend time on our business as when working with ADP the system is easy to use.

Pros:

One stop shop for anything payroll in one portal. Simple and easy to use. Onboarding is quick

Cons:

It’s hard to find a con as I’ve had a great experience with ADP.

OK for Payroll, Terrible for Taxes

Comments: Software is great, company is difficult.

Pros:

Easy to process payroll and requires very oversight on customer end.

Cons:

ADP Run continuously fails to file taxes and makes it so you don’t want to leave because you want to make sure things finally get resolved but try and prevent it from happening again.

Great product with inconsistent customer service

Comments: I have not found a better more affordable option. It does everything I need it to do and requires very little effort on my end. I appreciate that it just requires me to tap a few buttons to rub my payroll. I need something that is quick and easy.

Pros:

The website and mobile app are very easy to use. Being able to run payroll on the go is very helpful but you can’t add an employee from the mobile app.

Cons:

I hate that I can’t add an employee from the app. It has made it difficult sometimes. I also despise the long wait times for customer service. They have a call back option that they say you won’t lose your spot using but it generally takes hours to get a call back. That’s an absurd amount of time.I also hate the nonstop sales calls. I had to threaten to close all my accounts to get the calls to stop. The timekeeping with adp run was a nightmare. If there are any errors it causes issues with running payroll from the app.

Run Powered By ADP Is So Easy To Use!

Comments: I save so much more time using RUN by ADP for payroll and employee management. It takes a lot off of my plate and the fact that I can access it from anywhere is a wonderful bonus. The app works so well on my phone that I've processed payroll while out of town many times with no trouble at all. Payroll should be quick, simple, accessible and ADP RUN delivers on all of those needs.

Pros:

The ADP Run payroll platform has been making my life as an office manager easier since 2011. I recommend it to anyone asking about payroll platforms and I hope my office never changes. There are so many behind the scenes things that RUN does for you, like the pesky calculations to see which part-time employees qualify as full-time and have to be counted for the ACA insurance requirements. Done! ADP does that time equivalency for you! State new-hire reporting? ADP does that for you too. Entering employees and processing payroll is a breeze! The payroll reports are thorough and the W-2 processing and mailing is all done by them as well. If you haven't used ADP before then do yourself a favor and call them, you won't regret it.

Cons:

My main complaint would be on the employee side of the software. Employees can access their paycheck stubs through a platform called Employee Access. I like that it's available and I can manage it on the RUN side but sometimes the website is buggy. The employees say the app on their phones works better than the website. So you will have to reset passwords at times. I hope ADP addresses the glitches with that website.

RUN is a good platform for a global company, easy to use, cost effective & great customer support.

Comments: Piece of mind that Payroll is done correctly and timely and that our company is compliant with tax & government agencies.

Pros:

Scalability, portability, reliability, ease of use, security, reporting & customer support are the most valued features when it comes to RUN powered by ADP. Our payrolls can grow or shrink very rapidly. This platform allows us to quickly transition our staff size & allows an international team to onboard, process payroll and terminate employees easily & efficiently. We can work anywhere that there is an internet connection & can focus on our core business and rely on ADP to handle taxes and garnishments. The application is well organized & easy to navigate. Security has greatly improved empowering employees & administrators. Central database is secure while always at my finger tips. Standard reporting & Adhoc reporting features are great! Customer Support deserves lots of credit - they are helpful, professional & supported us with difficult HR & technical questions passing along problems & ideas effectively. Finally, ADP has listened to suggestions & continuosly improved its software since 2010.

Cons:

There are two items that I like the least about this software. They are both related. Most important is the lack of a feature allowing us to import our payroll data into the "Payroll Task". When we grow it is very time consuming & cumbersome to key in all the data. A feature to import the payroll data would be fantastic! I do not want to go to another platform, which allows the data from the proprietary Time Tracking software to be imported. ADP has tried to sell me this but RUN is perfect for us - just the payroll processing is more cumbersome when under time crunch & when we have lots of employees working different shifts, at different rates, with OT, double time, etc. Second point is the capability of a payroll administrator being able to input/review/edit the data in the Payroll Task & save it. Should not be able to add or delete the Task and not be able to RUN the task (impound the bank). But my team could help out in different time zones if this 2nd feature would be implemented.

Fully Featured But....

Comments: RUN is mostly fine and gets the job done. It can be improved by allowing more self-service options for adjusting payroll. Also, they do not offer a service to mail 1099 forms to contractors individually. They mail the forms to the business owner and expect them to mail it individually. This seems to be something they should offer pretty easily.

Pros:

The service technically has everything you need to run payroll pretty easily on a regular basis. You can pay both w2 employees and contractors with a few clicks.

Cons:

To edit a payroll that has been submitted but not yet processed, you literally need to call ADP customer support. There is no way to adjust payroll once it has been submitted on a self serve basis. This is very annoying. Also, the reporting isnt as intuitive as it should be. They mostly want you to use their canned reporting. They do not offer the option to mail 1099 forms to your contractors indiivudally.

Comments: I use this for tax reporting and employee tracking every week. It is very easy to use and navigate.

Solid HR Platform

Comments: Overall, we find ADP RUN to be useful and a pretty good value for the money. It saves us time and works as expected 99% of the time with no downtime. ADP has really good customer service and we've enjoyed the integration with the retirement services. RUN is robust and offers a lot of different, useful features.

Pros:

We've been using ADP RUN for a few years now and have enjoyed our experience with the system. It makes payroll a breeze and provides our staff members with an easy-to-use timecard and information portal, which allows them to see their pay stubs, W-2s, and retirement balances. Errors within the system are rare, and the ADP customer service team is extremely responsive if any issues do arise. W-2 forms are generated automatically for us to mail out and ADP also helpfully files tax and employment reports, which saves a ton of time. An added bonus is the fact that RUN integrates with ADP's retirement services division, so employees can make changes to their deferral percentages and investment options directly through the Employee Access hub. We've also found the HR411 feature to be useful for basic HR queries, particularly when certain forms are needed. It's a good resource.

Cons:

Every so often, the Employee Access hub seems to glitch and prevents some employees from reaching their accounts. I've found that this can sometimes be rectified with a cache clear or even opening the Access portal in a different browser, but overall this is a relatively minor issue and it can be quickly cleared up in most cases. ADP also has a bit of a habit of having random salespeople reach out from time to time to attempt upsells rather than a dedicated account manager (we do have a dedicated manager, but the upsells are usually pitched by others).

RUN Powered by ADP Review

Comments: Overall I like ADP because it is a whole lot easier than the old way of doing things and it a lot easier than our other system. There are some quirks with it and it could stand to be a bit more modernized, but even still its a decent service that offers a lot of neat things that can be extremely useful.

Pros:

As an employee I liked being able to log in and view my W-2s quickly as well as the employee handbook and PTO. As a person who also runs the payroll its nice being able to see an excel type form of all the employees across the board. I like being alerted when money is coming out so I know exactly whats going on especially since the funds came out earlier than what I thought. There is also a nice break down of everything. I like the idea of having all the employee perks that can be added on and will maybe be implementing more in the future. Lastly I liked being able to change some of the other employees banking information without too much of a hassle. There were 2 employees that changed banks shortly after getting ADP and requested their direct deposits go to their new banks and I assumed it would be a hassle to get them set up again, but it was pretty easy.

Cons:

It took some time and frustration to set it up and even still its not fully functional as far as the perks that are promised with the service. We have the vendor discounts at different restaurants and stores as well as a retirement plan, but it took a bit of time to set it up because the rep that was assisting us couldn't get through to the customer service. Another thing I was not expecting was that the money was being withdrawn the night before the actual payday. I'm not sure if that is an ADP thing or just how things work sometimes as this is the first time I've run payroll. It was also frustrating having to log into multiple services. As an employee and then to run payroll. I set up 2 log ins, but I feel like if you are an employee running payroll everything should be in 1 space.

RUN - ADP Review

Comments: The software is easy to use, you can run payrol without any issues. You can add employees by yourself or send them a link for them to do the process by themselves.

Pros:

The fact that the software sends reminders that you need to run payrol and gives you advises on how to do it.

Cons:

Reports - In my personal opinion, if you need to get a specific report, you can find it but you'll need to look for it for a few minutes.
