Jatheon Email Archiving Solution

Comments: We moved from an old solution to this one and it was an exhaustive search to come to the choice of Jatheon. They worked with us and took care of what we needed to make this happen. Super folks to work with!

Pros:

Search feafture is robust and very effective.

Cons:

Implementation was a bit slow but only because of the time it took to ingest our old data.

Comments: We needed something to automatically archive our emails and only retain them for 5 years that had a robust search capability. It needed to sync with AD and give users an easy way to search their own archives. It is mostly used, though by our CEO who is looking or certain email subjects and wants to confirm when certain emails are sent. We don't need anything fancy but the restore capabilities are flexible and do everything we need it to do. We have used it to extract various email for litigation and it was easy to extract.

Pros:

We purchased Jatheon Email archiver in 2013. I was a little apprehensive because I liked the product and price point but it was not very well known at the time. We use an appliance on-premise but Jatheon seamlessly upgraded me to the next level when I out-grew the old unit. It is so easy to use and It has a lot of flexibility when I do searches. The searches are very fast and I've always been able to find what I needed. Jatheon support has always been responsive when I needed help with a search or configuration change, or to just do a health check on our system. It's been a very good investment for our company and I'd recommend it to any small business.

Cons:

The newer appliance is much easier to use than the previous but I have one comment. When logging in to do administrative tasks, the placement of the administrative functions is on the bottom left. Took me forever to realize that. I think I had to put in a call looking for how to get to it then when they told me I felt a little embarrassed. It's more intuitive for me to find a link on a top navigation bar - that's my only complaint.

Jatheon - Simple and easy email archiving

Comments: Overall, it is a good product. Could move to cloud archiving but with the cost and not having any issues, I don't have a reason to get rid of it.

Pros:

It just works. Low maintenance and I am able to search emails fairly easy.

Cons:

The search function could be better. Max export size needs to be increased for when I need to pull a bunch of emails.

Comments: This has allowed me to know our emails are safely archived in the event we need to deeply search for a note from several years ago for customer, legal, HR or other issues. I know we are securely sitting not only in o365 for our hosted exchanged, but we are safely back up to AWS as well.

Pros:

The easy of deployment into my user environment was insanely simple and effortless. The solution itself is quite powerful and delvers the results blazing fast. The post sale support has been fantastic when I have had a few questions and the follow up is almost instant. Great product and Great people!

Cons:

I have nothing bad or down to say at all. The product works as pitched and installed. Great stuff!

Pros:

It was very easy to setup the appliance and start archiving emails, the search feature is very easy to use and administration is rather straight forward.

Cons:

Their outlook client could use a little bit of refinement in the way you search from the client, not a game stopper and it does work very well.

Comments: The issue this was bought to resolve was archiving issues for users who have left the company. It provided a repository to be able to archive all historical employee email data and fit nicely into an archiving process for recent employee departures. Lastly, it provided security needed so persons can only access mailboxes they need to all from a single web page.

Pros:

- I can customize it to suit my specific needs - It was very simple to setup and get started with the help of the support team - The team provides frequent updates and are open to suggestions to implement feature upgrades that may suit your specific scenario

Cons:

- I really have no cons as the software does what I want it to do and then more. If I am being extremely critical, the front end design could be a bit more visually appealing.

Comments: Jatheon allowed us to capture all in & outbound mail for compliance reasons. It has not failed us since implemented and our experience with the product and support has been great. Some major companies could take note the quality support provided.

Pros:

Once configured it simply just works. Product comes with excellent vendor support.

Cons:

Would be nice to use this with 3rd party API integration so you could spam filter by preferred vendor and store on prem/cloud with Jatheon.

Jatheon email archiving appliance/software provides great value and is easy to manage

Comments: My experience with Jatheon as a company and with the products they provide has been exceptional. Their support is quick to respond to any questions or problems. Their products have been rock solid.

Pros:

The Jatheon appliance/email archiving software suite was instrumental in our conversion from Microsoft Exchange to Gmail. It has allowed us to merge our previous MS Exchange archives with our Gmail archives and be able to do all eDiscoveries from one platform. The tech support is top notch. The company is able to remotely monitor our appliance and alert me to pending issues before they even occur. The ways I can query our archive is virtually limitless. And even with close to 50 million archived emails the speed of the queries are amazing.

Cons:

I don't know how I could improve on this product. It does what it is supposed to do and it does it well.

A rock solid product with a top notch support team backing it

Comments: We have been a Jatheon customer for over 10 years and have been extremely happy with how the product performs. Our appliance works without a hitch and is very easy to use. Like any technology solution there is sometimes minor issues, however, the Jatheon technical support team is top notch and is able to resolve any issues quickly and efficiently

Pros:

The technical support team is super responsive and able to resolve issues very quickly. In addition, the solution just works and requires very little management oversight to maintain.

Cons:

Certain functions could be easier to use from the Web UI (i.e. searches for a large volume of email that needs to be exported to PST is a feasible, however, a bit cumbersome)

Jatheon made my job easier

Comments: My overall experience has been excellent. I check on the system once a month to make sure there's no issues.

Pros:

I'm a one man shop for a small to mid size company. We had an email archiving system that had a lot of moving parts and was not very user friendly. Needless to say I didn't have a lot of confidence in it and more important I had to spend a lot of time I didn't have on it. After going to Jatheon life got much easier. At the time we went with Jatheon we had an on-premise email server. The setup was very easy and the system is very user friendly. I've been using Jatheon for over 6 years now and ive had only a couple issues which their support was very responsive. About three years ago we went to O365 and the switchover with regards to Jatheon was a breeze.

Cons:

To be honest and I cannot say this about all the applications i have but i don't have any cons.

Great product that is powerful and easy to use

Comments: Some of our customers are moving from having no email archival at all to Jatheon. This means that they have no prior context with email archival tools, complicating training if the product was harder to understand. Jatheon is so easy to use and understand while still being a capable product. This means that training is quick, and customers can dig deeper on their own.
Some of our other customers moved from older email archival tools, with a worse user experience. I've worked with users who dreaded the thought of moving to a new tool, only to be pleasantly surprised by how easy the product is to use while still being very capable for their needs.

Pros:

It's easy to deploy, understand, and use. We deploy this for our email customers, and since it's such a simple product to use, a quick 15-minute call to a new customer is often all it takes for the user to understand how to use the product effectively. The support team is also very accommodating and quick to respond.

Cons:

Uploading files for a new deployment can be slow. Officially, you can upload PSTs smaller than 500 MB using Jatheon's UI, or you can upload PSTs smaller than 16 GB to a Jatheon-provided AWS S3 bucket using the S3 web UI. Jatheon's support team can be very accommodating with providing alternative upload methods for our customers with larger archive files, but it would be great if there was something more baked in to the product.

Comments: We have to run FOIA requests all the time. Jatheon makes it easy. Their customer service solves problems quickly for us.

Pros:

The software is easy to use and responds quickly to inquiries.

Cons:

Nothing. No complaints. We have not run into a situation where the system didn't serve us well.

Painless upgrade

Pros:

The e-mail archiving appliance is well supported by the manufacturer. Upgrading from an older appliance to the new appliance was made very easy for me as once it was physically installed Jatheon took over and migrated the config and data witout any intervention from me.

Cons:

This level of service is necessary since the system is quite arcane and complex. It means when there are issues we have to engage Jatheon rather than fix it ourselves - and we are in different timezones. Having said that we have found Jatheon very responsive and proficient in knowing their product.

Great product for education

Comments: Our overall experience with Jatheon has been outstanding. As a service provider for education, the pandemic increased electronic communication and we found ourselves short on archiving space with the Barracuda appliance we had onsite. Jatheon provided a very cost-effective and painless transition to a cloud solution.

Pros:

The ease of setup and migration away from our old on prem appliance.

Cons:

There isn't much not to like. Jatheon offers the power of cloud at an affordable price.

Comments: Support and follow up is excellent.

Pros:

It does what it should - archive emails and allow you to retrieve them easily.

Cons:

It would be good to have the email folder structure display to help narrow down some of the more complex searches and we believe this feature is soon to be available

For me you can almost always find a product to do what you want. The big test is when you have a problem can it get resolved quickly and with Jatheon it does.

Comments: It is reliable and fast in finding emails. The export to PST, PDF, or single emails, is a great feature and really helps when doing a discovery

Pros:

It is fast - very fast in finding emails based on one word.

Cons:

I think the application interface could use some redesign. I don't find it intuitive enough and have to consult the manual frequently.

Comments: Great from the beginning. Support is the best I have seen.

Pros:

Great product but even better support. If you have an issue, email support, and within minutes we always have a response with a ticket generated and help on the way.

Cons:
