Why I use Inventor in my daily work
Comments: I started using inventor 15 years ago at university and although the software has grown a lot, its use is still just as easy, of course with certain improvements and additions that must be learned with each new version. Although inventor generates high-quality blueprints, many times the drawing standards of each country or region are not met, so I usually edit the drawings in AutoCAD before presenting them
Pros:
It is very easy to learn, it is a very intuitive software and you can start designing pieces from the first time you use it. Being Autodesk software, it is compatible with other important software such as AutoCAD or Fusion 360. It has a large number of libraries, so it is not necessary to draw standardized parts
Cons:
This is very powerful software, so it requires a high-end computer, so the initial investment is somewhat expensive and the more elements an assembly has, the more RAM memory it will need, which can easily reach 64 or 128 GB.
Alternatives Considered:
Autodesk Inventor in-depth review
Comments: Autodesk Inventor is a great 3D parametric modelling CAD software for Mechanical engineers. It is possible to use parametric, freeform, direct and conditions / rules-based design.
Pros:
3D Tools & simulation capabilities to design and optimize the performance. Simple and easy to use. They provide free trial.Collaboration within the team members is possible to a totally different level.
Cons:
Requires computers with high end configurations and graphics card.CAM and CAE features are not available.
Inventor Review
Comments: pretty good but like solidworks and nx better
Pros:
Nice environment with good feature definition
Cons:
bad preview of operations in 3d space, some previews that didnt allow execution
Good and complete suite for 3D modeling
Comments: It was fine, but the only advantage using this software among others in the market is that when buying the complete suite of autodesk.
Pros:
The way you can have compatibility with Autocad, also the libraries are pretty useful and the mold design and manufacturing module is very complete.
Cons:
The price is very expensive also the complexity of the software is high when performing 3D modeling on complex geometry.
Alternatives Considered:
Intuitive and powerful 3D CAD, yet it takes time to master the more powerful features
Comments: I created many solid models, assemblies and drawings. Compared to a previous high end system I used, it has been very robust and rarely crashes. Once you know it it is very intuitive.
Pros:
Easy and powerful solid modeller that can create Assemblies with both Part and Assembly variations. Bill of Materials with tables can be generated directly in the Assembly drawing. A lot of functions are available under the right mouse button, which saves time not having to go through menus.
Cons:
Once you get deeper into the software, the more powerful features can be somewhat difficult to learn. Support does not always understand your exact needs. Some of the lesser used powerful features do not get the same attention from their R&D. An example is that it took about 2 years for a feature to be corrected.
Alternatives Considered:
Basically the best software to design mechanical parts.
Comments: In general I always use this software to design any part, running the stress simulation.
Pros:
You can start form 0 and perform a very specialized analysis for any part. Very organized to go from a point, line, sketch, solid and assembly.
Cons:
How the constraints can be easily affected and the whole model ruined. Very complex to repair this.
Amazing software for 3D Modeling and Drafting
Comments: Using inventor from last 4+years and it is best software for execute internanational level projects
Pros:
Ease of using commands and Vault system helped to work on client server
Cons:
Takes more memory when we use Vault system

3D Modeling Awesome
Comments: Inventor allows me to do my job, mechanical engineering, I use it daily to design, analyze and draw components we make.
Pros:
Inventor is used in everything we do. We need to accurately model things in 3d and create the fabrication and shop drawings. Since it is an Autodesk product it integrates easily with our use of AutoCAD too, with easy output to 2D cad formats as well.
Cons:
It can be challenging to learn at first but it is easy if you know another 3D modeling program. The one thing I think the competition does better is exploded views, I dislike the exploded view functionality.

Best modelling sodtware
Comments: Inventor is very helpful for my business as I want to create the solid models of my new product ideas. Inventor allowa me to modell those ideas with perfect finishing. I can use these modells to express my ideas to my workers and customers. Though there are many modelling softwares, surface finishing in Inventor is exceptional. The modells look very attractive, colourful and realistic. I recommend Inventor for any solid modelling purpose.
Pros:
Finishing Tools User interface Reliability
Cons:
Nothing. This is the best modelling software with best finished look of the models.
Inventor: brief preparation of documentation and simulation of products focused on mechanical design
Comments: When I was a student, learning to use Inventor was a difficult challenge because it was the first time I used it and it was complicated, however with help I was able to learn to use it and it served me strictly for the subject of design and construction of mechanical models. Now that I am a teacher, in the development of degree and degree projects I teach and instill students who focus on mechanical designs to use Inventor, since this tool was key for me and now it is very useful to them. In summary, inventor is a complete and useful tool for mechanical modeling, although learning to master it is complicated.
Pros:
One of the many advantages I like about Inventor when teaching is that it combines some parametric, direct, free-form, and rule-based design features to enhance the student's mechanical design development. Another important point that I like about this tool is that it has integrated Tools for sheet metal, structure design, tubes and pipes, cables and harnesses, presentations, renderings, simulations, machine designs, among others, which are used for learning concepts. basics of mechanical design to then be put into practice by students.
Cons:
When I was a student, it was very difficult for me to learn how to use Inventor because it has a steep and complicated learning curve at the beginning. Now I have realized that some of its advanced features can be overwhelming for my students since they are less experienced, however with my help they understand better, the point of this is that they should create or improve complicated Inventor functions to make it easier His learning.
excellent software for mechanical modeling of components and assemblies
Comments: inventor use for mechanical modeling of components for the manufacturing industry
Pros:
the program is easy to use and allows you to model and draw even very complex mechanical components and assemblies. Intuitive and clean interface
Cons:
Surface modeling is terrible. It is not comparable to other high-end software
Inventor autodesk
Pros:
Very easy to use and very intuitive. The interface is aslo user friendly.Being part of autodesk is compatible with other softwares like, autoCad, solidworks.Good library
Cons:
High demanding computer requierements. CAM and CAE features are not available.Price overall very expensive
Intuitive and powerful design
Comments:
I was using Inventor for multiple years in my work and my private projects. It is an amazing tool, packed with an enormous number of features. Each of the functions is customizable and can be adjusted to the expectations of the company and designer. Inventor can make the work efficient, quick, and enjoyable. Each function has an extensive description with detailed instructions on how to use it. Also, the whole ecosystem of apps from Autodesk is cooperating smoothly end effortlessly, and Inventor is a great part of it. It is widely used, so if a user encounters any problem, somewhere on the internet there is a resolution for it - on the official Autodesk page or on one of the multiple forums. The software has a student version, which can be a great possibility to get familiarized with it if you are studying.
However, there is one significant disadvantage of Inventor - the price in the subscription model is extremely high. it is unlikely that hobbyists can afford that much. Also, small bugs may happen, which is fully understandable in the software of that size.
In conclusion, if you have the possibility to work with it, it is totally a must - there is nothing that good on the market. If not, there are some cheaper alternatives - not as good as this one, but still decent.
Pros:
A huge number of features. The intuitiveness of use. Customizability. Detailed descriptions and use instructions of features. Vast community support. Integration between different Autodesk apps.
Cons:
The price is high. Subscription sell-based model.
Modern looking 3D CAD software
Pros:
For me is Inventor something like more modern and user-friendly Solidworks. Inventor was my first go to software when modelling and working with 3D CAD and I was really amazed of how well everything worked. Especially the UI is great when compared to Solidworks.
Cons:
Main issue is that Inventor is not used that much in a real world. Solidworks is simply bigger and used much more. That is also why I was forced to switch.

Inventor 2018 Experience
Comments: Overall it's been a positive experience. I will admit I came to Inventor late having stared with competitor products nearly 15 years ago but once you learn the syntax of how the everything is set up it is a smooth transition.
Pros:
The software is easy to use and flows fairly well. The real beauty, especially from a hiring standpoint, is that it works very similar to competition so if you know one package you can quickly pick up on this one. the other thing I really like is the Vault that is included. The ability to work locally, but keep everything stored on a server, makes working with larger models much faster. It also allows a team to work together while keeping files safes and tracking revisions and changes.
Cons:
Ever since the first time I used the software my main criticism has always been the inability to select a midpoint of a sketch. This drives me mad and many of us have found complex workarounds to what should be a simple problem. I will also say that setting up mates in an assembly is not always that intuitive. It's great to have many different options but when %100 of the time I only use this specific one it would be great if it would learn that, or allow me to change the default.
Inventor Review
Comments: It's great. We have been using it on a daily basis for years now, not only for components design and manufacturing drawings but also for layouts, general arrangments, and plant layouts. It becomes easy to integrate scanned areas and easier to show end customers what they could expect.
Pros:
Autodesk Inventor is the best tool in the market for 3D manufacturing design. The components library is huge with basically all the important vendors being part of it. The setups are easy, and the collaboration between workers is great and very functional. The BOM works perfectly and integrates with other pieces of software within the company.
Cons:
It is an expensive piece of software. It could have an entry version as the AutoCAD 2D has the LT version. I understand that it also requires some bulk hardware to run it nicely, and this is part of modeling in 3D.

Excellent mechanical design software, extremely efficient and practical.
Comments: It has allowed me to quickly design metal structures in 3D from your library, which has saved me time, in addition to an impeccable finish. Therefore, I consider that it has given effectiveness to my work and my professional life.
Pros:
Mainly it has allowed me to design pieces, machineries, structures and endless figures, creating parameters that streamline the assembly of the models that I have created, since it has a complete library of structural elements that facilitate the task of designing from the elements of the library and can easily be modeled, it is also very easy to create parametric drawings without the need of being an expert in the software, therefore its ease of use unlike other similar packages places it among my favorites when creating my digital prototypes. On the other hand, this software can design metal sheets that meet the most stringent quality standards. I find it interesting that it allows you to create 3D models from DWG files directly from Inventor. In addition to all the advantages I have mentioned, it allows you to export 3D designs to PDF formats, which facilitates printing and displaying them on any computer.
Cons:
The main disadvantage that I find to this software is that it requires a very powerful equipment and with certain specific characteristics to be able to use it, since in a conventional machine its use is impossible.
My day to day 3D drawing tool
Comments: I would go for the inventor for company-wide software for our CAD requirement. This helps us a lot in our day-to-day designing and modifying of the machine/parts.
Pros:
Compared to the other CAD software I have used, the inventor is a more robust approach to overall designing and analysis of the part/product prior to fabricating. This helps in understanding the potential issues in the design before even creating it.
Cons:
The vault and client have to be on the same software version which is a tricky part while implementing company-wide software upgrades. We faced issues a few times while doing so.

My love for Autodesk Inventor
Comments: Most of my CAD designs are done in Autodesk Inventor and I've become so comfortable with it. The data management in Inventor is just top notch with easy switching from one project to the other without crash.
Pros:
The fact that Inventor is easy to use is a huge plus. As compared to other 3D modeling softwares available in the market, Autodesk Inventor is relatively one of the easiest to navigate with beautiful and simple interface, as well as huge support from Autodesk Forum and way cheaper than most of it's competitions.
Cons:
I think rendering is one part that should be worked on. More IBL environments could be added and better material texture. Surface modelling could be better and as well, sculpting (form).

Interesting alternative to Solidworks
Pros:
I was really surprised with how modern the UI is. Inventor is definitely more user friendly than Solidworks. Both have their pros and cons but even though I use Solidworks as my daily I really liked the experience with Inventor and I probably wouldn't mind switching back.
Cons:
Not used as much as for example Solidworks, so has smaller user base. Missing some tools.

Fundamental for my carpentry business, it is the best 3D parametric design program
Comments: In the carpentry we design in 3d before proceeding to the making of furniture which saves us money and materials because we can correct any detail before making the furniture
Pros:
It allows me to represent solids such as wood, I can do from simulations of opening and closing drawers, to schematizations of installation plans, which I can represent as 3d solids, this helps me visualize how the design of the furniture will be before build them.
Cons:
When you start using the program you need to document a lot and see many tutorials, because you have many tools that you should know to get the most out of the software.
Inventor Review
Comments: Inventor is one of the most important tools I used to design robots. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to finish projects in time.
Pros:
I used Inventor to CAD robot designs. Inventor made assemblies super easy to learn as well as its intuitiveness allowed me to learn to use features without tutorials. With Inventor, I was able to run it on a average laptop without lag and could design parts easily. Another aspect I loved about Inventor was how easy it was to switch between different files as tabs were shown on the bottom of the screen.
Cons:
There were times where certain features refused to work which made using Inventor quite frustrating. Furthermore, pulling parts from a library can be quite tedious if you have many different folders.

MOST ADAPTIVE CAD SOFTWARE
Comments: I have had a extremely positive experience with Inventor, I was originally a solidworks user, but now that I have switched it is difficult to go back!
Pros:
The flexibility iLogic gains you in this software is an absolute must when working on bigger assemblies. Also, with a 2D background, adding on the 3rd dimension has a logical flow compared to other programs.
Cons:
its not supported by many 3rd party solutions for processing structural steel out of the box

A great tool for mechanical design
Comments: i haven't had any problems with it.
Pros:
It's intuitive, all the basic operations allows you to create a 3D model according to my needs. and export to other extension alllows me to share my design to other softwares. and the creation of planes automaticaly is a nice plus.
Cons:
the fact that for some curve surfaces you have to play with the cuvature to avoid decrease the thickness. The lack of retrocompatibility

Reliable and easy-to-use 3D modeling software
Pros:
Inventor has a very intuitive user interface. Not as pricey as other top-tier packages and provides a great bang for your buck.
Cons:
Not as revolutionary or powerful as other packages but seems to be a great middle-of-the-road option with plenty of features for most industry needs. Automation & analysis features had been lacking in past releases but are starting to catch up.
