choose better software
About ConstructionOnline
Trusted by +850,000 pros as the all-in-one construction management software designed to help finish jobs on time and under budget.
Overall its easy to navigate and they don't put a whole bunch of things that you will never use. They really do work hard to make it easy for us.
The App that comes along with it gets stuck on a screen or 2 but I am working on that with the UDA team.

Robust construction management software
Comments: We are about two months into the implementation process and it has gone more smoothly than expected. Support training is super helpful in getting the team members up to speed.
Pros:
Having the ability to track a project from a an early lead, to an estimate and proposal and through the construction and completion is incredibly helpful to have all the information on one platform.
Cons:
The cloud based platform can have some compatibility issues with certain browsers (Microsoft Edge). It can get bogged down in the Redline planroom and takeoff features with really large files.

Great, Great product!!!
Comments: Great experience with people working at UDA. They know what they are talking about and they have a product that you would have to pay way more to get the same features. I have been with UDA since 2013 and they have never stopped improving their product. I probably will never switch to any other product.
Pros:
1. How easy it is to learn it, use it, and integrate it into daily routines 2. Customer service is 11/10 3. Features 4. ClientLink
Cons:
1. I honestly didn't find anything to complain about yet :))
active user of scheduling tool and resource
Pros:
I like how we can display the projects on the Multi-Project Scheduling and Resource Tracking page. It allows us to easily see the workload and project progress.
Cons:
I don't like the way the scheduling page works and we can't easily integrate it with MS Project. Updating the schedules can sometimes turn into a nightmare. Additionally, the way we input projects is not user-friendly in most cases, in my opinion.

I'm Love'n It
Comments: Love it. It puts everything I would need to manage my projects at my fingertips
Pros:
I am able to access the software from my phone, tablet or computer
Cons:
I wish the pricing was better. I know, I know, you get what you pay for... but I can still wish for it.

COL Review
Comments: The product is best in class and the customer support is always spot on. I never have long waits for answers and the ability to quickly reach an expert is very appreciated.
Pros:
COL is a solid software all around. Very few softwares have the built in functionality in COL. If I was going to design proprietary software for my company, it would look and function very much like COL.
Cons:
My only two complaints are the lack of more accounting integrations and the cap on projects. Having a few more options for third party integrations where COL doesn't have internal functionality would be a benefit.

Highly Recommend due to better communication with Owners and subcontractors
Comments: I believe we were one of the first companies to come aboard and have learned to use the platform as a great advantage for our team.
Pros:
We like the scheduling and estimating components of the program the best. We can have all our resources in one place and easily communicate Schedules, Change orders and Proposals to Owners, Subcontractors and Suppliers.
Cons:
I would like to see the Lead tracking be more like a CRM where you could email your contacts and schedule automated follow-ups.
It was hard for me to change programs, but it was the best decision I could have made..
Comments: I can tell UDA spent a great deal of time putting this program together. There are a couple things I hope they will change but the ease-of-use once you get up to speed is wonderful. I have found the customer service to be the best I have ever received.
Pros:
It is packed with every tool I will ever need to manage my construction company. Also, the customer support is top notch.
Cons:
I found migrating my projects and linking them to clients from Construction Suite was very time consuming. The calendar only migrated over two weeks from the whole year. I had to repopulate the calendar all over again.

Best that avilable!
Comments: My overall experience has been really good it's easy to learn and easy to use.
Pros:
I like the easy of the program and how quickly you can get the information you need.
Cons:
The biggest complaint is the app it's not very friendly and not easily to access information.
Alternatives Considered:
Can't do business without it.
Comments: I love this software setup. As I expand my office again, I look forward to using some of the advanced features to help streamline our approach to building.
Pros:
I really love the accessibility of all your documentation for each project. Whether it's an estimate for the bank, contracts for the homeowner, or bids from sub-contractors, it's all right there.
Cons:
I purchased Construction Suite in the past. I had gotten out of the game for a little bit pursuing some other projects. Now that I am building again, I wish there had been a little more loyalty for past customers now that it has gone to Construction online. The features are still the best that I have seen.

Thumbs Up for UDA
Comments: I am very comfortable, it is easy to learn and works well
Pros:
I was familiar with it and it meets many of our requirements at a better price point
Cons:
It is shy of perfection, but which software is? We would like to have automation in the scheduling to allow adjustments and modifications to the timeline based on real world advances or setbacks
Construction Online
Comments: The product is easy to use provides a great user friendly tool to manage projects.
Pros:
The app is user friendly, overall easy to use and train, has almost every Project Management tool that a construction Project Manager will need.
Cons:
Very basic estimating tool, very basic scheduling tool, very poor billing, invoice management and cost tracking
UDA Construction Online, Awesome.
Comments: I have used other management tools and platforms and UDA is by far the easiest to use. I never feel like if I need some info from the platform I am in for a 1/2 to 1 hour session to find what I am looking for.
Pros:
Firstly I like that it is easy and intuitive to use. All of the functions are organized for ease of use and I don't have to spend lots of time (time is money) looking for the functionality that I need. Secondly, I really like that everything is on one platform. I especially like that I can look at the plans and the budget in one short session. Thirdly, I like that the project tracking is easy to use and allows for quick logging for the day.
Cons:
My only thing that gets me is the AI assistant button is always in my way when I first open the platform.
Thank you CO for making my Job easier :)
Pros:
I love how user friendly Construction Online is! I love how the CO team is always available for help or training and I love how CO takes account the consumers suggestions and implements them into the software for an even easier time!
Cons:
Sometimes it times me out and shuts down.
Finally made the switch from Construction Suites to Construction On Line
Pros:
I am not an early-adopter, and will typically wait until things are flushed out and proven. When Construction On-Line came about, I was slow, almost resistant, to jump aboard. I’ve been using Construction Suites since 2009; it’s as critical to us as AutoCAD and Quick Books, and we were very satisfied. If you are like me, and slow to change, I encourage you to jump in, I did in June 2024. The client selection tool, which allows clients to upload choices such as plumbing and light fixtures, cabinet door styles, hardware, tile, flooring, etc. has hit a homerun with our clients. They enjoy the research and selection, and feel a part of the design process. Plus, the added bonus is, it has saved our team dozens of hours by having clients spend their time researching their fixtures before we enter into pros and cons of their selections. Lastly, the client portal which provides for the client selection tool, also facilitates change order approvals, and budget reviews is brilliant. As a design-build firm, the Construction On-Line Client Portal changes the builder/client relationship, by inviting them to be a true part of the team. Since June, I now have 5 clients using the Construction On-Line Client Portal, and they love it!
Cons:
Need more time to uncover things that I may not like
Best of Breed
Comments: Great Support for a product that fits our business.
Pros:
Contains the features that are critical to a General Contractor. From Estimating to Subcontractors to Billing. The integration with QuickBooks is fantastic. Great Support.
Cons:
The Integration with our accounting system is critical, but could be improved: 1. Beyond the Batch integration - should remove the obstacles - should be able to run during off hours so both system are synchronized. 2. The data from ConstructionOnline should have a transaction date not the date the data was integrated.
UDA Project Management and Estimating
Pros:
We are able to upload all of the project docs and mark up in one place in stead of searching emails and other submittals. When a template is complete and we are comfortable using it, estimating becomes much easier than spreadsheets. We can track projects in real time when the field is remembering to upload items as they’re being completed.
Cons:
When we upload plans it creates individual pages for a project, I wish the full drawling sets were more easily accessible.
JFL Plug Power Mechanical Engineering review
Comments: Overall it's a great software. I have used countless apps and software that detail site information. I think the user interface is fantastic in my opinion, one of the best if not the best. I don't know how the project score works but I'm going to get more familiar. I think just doing this review has opened my world up to all these other tools that I will be using.
Pros:
The individual who designed the site interface did a great job. The weather and latest project activity are items that I'll now open when speaking to the engineer at site. In doing this review, I found out that I can see the address of the site, which sounds simple, but is INCREDIBLY useful. If one can imagine, I am looking for a site in 2015, and there are 8 buildings owned by the same major company. It takes me say, 10-15 min finding on google maps where the site exactly is, and even then sometimes it's unclear. Using this site already saved my 2 hours just with that simple application on the main user screen while I was doing this review.
Cons:
I think I'd like to have a "Read Me" about each particular site so that I understand what the mindset is of the individual onsite. As an example, a read me note would detail "Raymond Furr will be at site on Monday's and Fridays doing XYZ check, and uploading pictures as the equipment is installed. Feel free to upload site pictures if you have visited the site, or were sent by another party, but understand that I will review the images and may remove if aren't associated with site". This would be similar to "Jobsite Instructions", but it would be to a different audience, mainly to those who aren't on site and need/provide digital information
UDA Review
Pros:
The ability for all team members to be up to date on the project.
Cons:
Tranferring information to Quickbook does not always work
ConstructionOnline Review!
Pros:
The scheduling and team management features.
Cons:
Using the mobile site, some of the features do not work properly.
Good Software
Comments: Happy with the software and depend on it daily. I have been using it for over 8 years.
Pros:
Many features aid in the management of projects
Cons:
There are several options or features that could help us but they are additional costs and we are already paying a lot for C.O. and we can't justify the additional cost. Quickbooks integration is fair but causes some reporting issues that make job costing difficult.
Construction online.
Comments: overall i am satisfied with the app and the tools it offers me to be able to get the information i need in the field.
Pros:
Is easy to deploy in or out of the office, i can look at any documents or update any project anywhere i am.
Cons:
the way the online page is set up gives me a little bit of trouble finding stuff sometimes.
ConstructionOnline
Pros:
I find the platform's user-friendly interface to be a notable feature, contributing to improved overall accessibility and navigation.
Cons:
While ConstructionOnline offers many valuable features, one aspect that could be enhanced is the speed of certain processes. There were instances where response times were not as prompt as desired. Improving the speed and efficiency of certain functionalities would further enhance the overall user experience.
Best way to keep track of your project
Pros:
everything is great what i use on daily basis
Cons:
There is nothing that i dislike about. as i said what ever i use is easy to use and does the work for me
Helping with project tracking and management
Comments: Great software all around with multiple features that help to manage projects
Pros:
Communication with stakeholders and document management
Cons:
Scheduling and accounting interpretation
Best software value for the money
Comments: I have love this software and used it for years. I find it easy to use and easy to learn.
Pros:
I love the ease of use and how I can track all of my projects at one at my computer and also can track them on my phone app just as easily.
Cons:
I prefer the computer version over the online version
