Pros:

Its really easy for the client to get started on. Customer service answers right away and is very helpful.

I have had technical issues with the quality of the video session, frozen calls or poor image. Most of those are due to poor internet or poor connection in the part of the client.

Doxy.me is the only telehealth/teletherapy tool for me!

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: Pretty close to perfect. I get great service, very few call issues (which are generally an internet issue and NOT a Doxy issue), and for the price I get a TON of great tools and abilities.

Pros:

I love everything about Doxy. The price, the ease of use, the ability to communicate with patients en mass via waiting room announcements, and the ability for my patients to come into the waiting room for links to coping skills and important research documents. I can collect payments right through Doxy via Stripe, collect patient feedback via Dokbot, share information via screen share, and file transfer. Doxy provides analytics and meeting histories, and connects you will tools like therapeutic exercises with reminders, group calls, and electronic teleconsent with signatures.

Cons:

Honestly, there's nothing I "like least". I would say the one thing I would consider an improvement would be to add a reminder sound (ding!), which can be set for each call individually (or not at all) by the provider, to remind both patient and provider that it's time to "wrap it up." And while this would be a wonderful addition, I definitely don't consider it a deal breaker.

Works but with many inconveniences

2.0 last year

Pros:

It seems like a free service, so it's an option for appointment based meetings

Cons:

but I have always had consistent issues for connectivity for both video and audio. Lagging has been a common issue so I would prefer other applications.

Easy to Use, worth every penny

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: I have used Doxy for 4 years. I checked out a number of competing platforms, all of which had more cons than pros. Doxy keeps it simple for me and more importantly, for my clients.

Pros:

This is the simplest, most user-friendly telehealth platform I have ever used, including the one within the EMR system I use. Also, it's easy to add multiple participants, so it works great for meetings as well as therapy sessions.

Cons:

The security measures make the connection a little fussy i.e. if your camera has been used on another platform and that software is not closed, Doxy will not allow a video connection. I just have to be careful and prepared to troubleshoot with clients.

Doxy is the most professional and HIPAA compliant platform for counselors and doctors.

5.0 5 months ago

Pros:

Doxy is HIPAA compliant, and the platform is easy to use for myself and my clients. Clients do not need to download anything or enter personal information. They click on the secure link that I provide to them. Our connection is reliable unless one of us has WIFI issues (which is not Doxy's fault). I am thrilled with Doxy and feel it is more professional, protective, and secure than other platforms.

Cons:

I love Doxy! Doxy is the most professional and HIPAA compliant platform I have found for counselors and doctors.

Comments: It has been incredibly smooth for me as well as for my clients!

It's incredibly user-friendly and clean looking which only helps me use it more often!

Cons:

I wish that the free version had a way for me to blur my background.

Reliable virtual platform

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: I have enjoyed using this platform and it has been quite reliable.

Pros:

I like that it is HIPPA compliant, easy to navigate, user friendly, and they offer a free version. My practice fluctuates and at times is slow which would not benefit me to pay the subscription.

Cons:

It would be nice if they offered different pricing options. I realized the higher you pay the more the "bells and whistles". The paid subscription has some great features which can be customized.

An fabulous product that I wouldn’t be without

5.0 12 months ago

Comments: Great. I have recommended Doxy.me as the platform to my clients and my Supervisees, my colleagues and my peers.

Pros:

The ease of use. Clients don’t have to download anything, just click on the link I send when I open up Doxy. The waiting room feature is great. It’s still free. Quality of video and audio.

Cons:

I can honestly say I haven’t found any faults with Doxy.me and I’ve been using it for 2 years

Doxy.Me is a great online platform

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: Very positive. They are very responsive to questions and support issues. The system works well.

Pros:

I started using Doxy.me during the pandemic when we all had to scramble quickly to move from in person to online. I've found the platform to be very easy to use for me as well as for clients. I continue to use the free version as I am not working as much and don't need the extra features.

Cons:

I have no complaints other than occasionally the meeting history gets lost when the call ends abruptly (internet outages happen).

Great platform, capable of resolving problems.

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: Doxy.me is great! I'm very pleased with it and will continue using it as long as I'm in business. Other than the long delayed help with technical problems, doxy.me is great. I'll bet that in the future they will not allow a complaint to linger for months as they are perfectly capable to helping resolve such problems.

Pros:

It's easy to use and the price is affordable.

Cons:

It worked fine when we started, but when there was a problem (freezing, audio loss, making sessions frustrating and discouraging clients) Doxy was slow to help though I kept complaining for months. When they finally contacted me directly and worked with me the problem was resolved perfectly. They had said to use Chrome, but now they said use Firefox. The other issue was my ethernet cable which had a problem (I thought ethernet was to be preferred but cables wear out - who'd have guessed?) going over to Wi-Fi then totally fixed it.

Dawning Phoenix says thank you

4.0 last year

Comments: Extremely positive overall, mostly due to the HIPAA compliance with ease of use for clients and no required identification, which really makes clients comfortable on a platform they've never used before. No complaints from them!

Pros:

Flexiblity, client anonymity, a basic package option that does not require using or even purchasing features I have zero interest in utilizing.

Cons:

Audio quality is inconsistent but reliability has improved since access problems during high demand in 2020.

Comments: Great, very little issues, occasional disconnect but not sure if it's on the clients end or not.

Pros:

Secure, easy to use, good connectively, no complaints from clients.

Cons:

Please add "touch up my appearance" to the video settings. It blurs out a lot of the wrinkles, pock marks, signs of aging, and sun damage! :)

Doxy is great for telehealth!

4.0 last year

Comments: Doxy has made it possible for me to work from home. It has made it easy to acclimate new clients who have never done telehealth. My clients and I are very happy with the ease of use and quality of the audio and video. As a patient myself, I have used Zooom and other platforms and found them cumbersome, poorer in quality and harder to use.

Pros:

I like that the link is always the same and it is very easy for new users. I transitioned from in person to total telehealth in one day at the start of the pandemic. Doxy made it easy and less stressful.

Cons:

Occasionally the audio goes out or the video freezes, but I suspect that is due to users internet service. When clients have fiber optic internet there are rarely issues.

Affordable, efficient, Hipaa compliant

4.0 last year

Comments: Overall I have had a very positive experience and the fact that I'm able to get this quality for free is priceless.

Pros:

I liked that this platform provided the option to continue services for free while being HIPAA compliant and being 1 of the first video platforms to do so during the pandemic. It's affordability continues to give clinicians like me a secure space to carry out our important work without worrying about data leaks and privacy violations.

Cons:

At times the audio and visuals can be glitchy

Comments: I am most satisfied with the service afforded by Doxy.me

Pros:

Reliability and ease of use for clients.

Cons:

In the future we will have the ability to afford more of virtual and realistic presence. But, I am not certain this is necessary. This works and affords those in remote areas options.
