Comments: Outstanding. I have so much control and flexibility to use this service for so many bulk emailing applications and I can scale up or down to mirror my busy seasons. I have been thrilled with this service for years.

Pros:

I have been a user of EmailOctopus for years and have seen the company, services, and functionality grow and develop over time. The customer service has been extraordinary whenever I have had questions and I have always received highly respectful communications from this company. They know that your success makes them succeed as well so they are in your corner every step of the way and they treat customers fairly at all times. The ease and flexibility of this web-based program are outstanding and I have made recommendations in the past that have since been implemented. What the service is now is a godsend for anyone needing to send bulk emails whether frequently or occasionally because they allow you to scale up or down to your needs, which I see as further proof of their customer first philosophy. The setup is easy if you follow the instructions or ask for any help and once you are setup with amazon and email octopus, you can be confident that you will achieve everything you desire with this service. Best of luck to you all in future endeavors.

Better than the monkey!

Comments: EmailOctopus has allowed us to have bigger lists (compared to the monkey) before hitting a paid limit. It's allowed us to target smaller but more effective segments of our lists with different campaigns.

Pros:

The limits on free accounts are higher than the famous Monkey brand and the reports are nicely detailed. Custom fields allow good segmentation of lists and it's super simple to use them in the email content.

Cons:

The builder for email is sometimes a little convoluted with the side panel that pops out to edit details like buttons etc. It's not always clear if a change has been saved.

Cost Effective Email Marketing Tools

Pros:

Used email octopus for more than two year. It is a cost effective email marketing tool which allows basic functionality of contact management along with email marketing setup.

Cons:

Not much of the customization is possible in email octopus when it comes to email templates.

A good inexpensive way to get your email business rolling

Comments: Overall EmailOctpus has done a good job handling what I throw at them and they fit my budget pretty well. Service has been better here than in the other more well know places tried in the past. They seem to be more service-orientated and willing to go the extra mile to help if needed. I'd say I have been pretty happy with most of what they have to offer.

Pros:

The 2500 price point is a great help for those starting out gives them a bit more time to learn and start making some money with their list and to make the payment easier too. Most of the help tutors are easy to understand and if you have trouble the support has been outstanding. Even though it is a chat and I usually don't care for that but theirs has been top-notch. They have good knowledgeable people working the chat and that really a big plus.

Cons:

Pros: They are reasonably priced and offer excellent support. Easy to learn and use with a low learning curve in most areas. They also have more advanced options for integration into many of the more well-known platforms for controlling larger businesses. You also have a knowledge base you can go to when Chat is offline at night that which is very helpful for people like me that do a lot at night.Cons: My biggest pet peeve with them is not being able to use HTML templates made by others you are kinda stuck using theirs and some of them are not too professional looking or fit the needs to might have. Yeah, I'm old school but I can make them work the way I need easier to install on some websites I have custom software and I have to create workarounds to get things working sometimes.

Beautifully Simple

Pros:

It has focus. If you want to write a simple and nice e-mail newsletter to stay in contact with your list it is the best software I found. They have a Texteditor that is easy to use (like writing an Email), you need little steps to send an email and the software works on a mobile device. The integration of forms to wordpress are super simple as well. The Platform is intuitive and easy to understand, you don't need a master in Marketing to use it.

Cons:

It would be nice if it had an app for Android. But at least the web-app is mobile friendly so you can even use it on mobile phone to write email without an app.

Best email marketing software for creators and small teams.

Pros:

It does everything that the big players do and then some. It has a quite intuitive dashboard. It's easy to integrate in already established workflows. It has a good knowledge base and self-service materials. It has great customer service. It has a good branding with delightful user interface. And I haven't even talked about how affordable and how much of an "obvious" choice it is for individuals and small teams.

Cons:

I wish there were some more options for building lead capture landing pages that don't look that generic and "marketingy" like.

You cant beat the free trial!

Pros:

As a small business owner, I really needed to be able to start sending out email campaigns. Email octopus is the only company I found that makes it inexpensive to get started sending out professional emails to your subscribers. Company doesn't seem like they are always trying to up sell me either. The free trial comes with tons of good features and once I start expanding and need to upgrade, I will most likely be staying with email octopus for my email campaigning needs!

Cons:

I have yet to venture very deep into the software so not quite sure!

Reasons for Switching to EmailOctopus: The sliding scale for payment! That is exactly what I needed to get started with my email campaigns.

Amazing value, flexibility, and growth options (for you and your campaigns)

Pros:

To be honest, the first thing that attracted me was the price point and how expansive the free tier is.What's keeping me is the ease of use, docs and API, and the feeling that there's a lot more I can keep doing with EmailOctopus without the tool getting in my way.

Cons:

Some dashboard pages feel a bit like deadends or incomplete. For example, the campaign dashboard includes a graph of only the first 24 hours. I haven't found a way to expand this, even if it's locked behind a different tier.

Simple and cheap for a email marketing manager software

Pros:

EmailOctopus provides a dependable platform at a reasonable price, with exceptional customer service. Questions are swiftly and thoroughly answered. The platform is simple to use and offers a wide range of options that i have use to write our newsletter and email marketing content.

Cons:

I'd want to see the email builder drag and drop functionality enhanced. It works okay, and the emails are attractive, but it isn't as polished as some other newsletter builder software that I have used. The email template should be more customizable and easy to add a design into it.

Comments: We have used email octopus for many years. I can't comment on the support - because we have never really needed them - their product just runs properly and without issues. We use it for a lot of things, but primarily for email lists for our users and list management. Their API was easy to integrate into our app, and it makes things really smooth and easy.

Pros:

Easy to use, almost never a bug, affordable

Cons:

UI can be a bit weird, but is super minor. Its a really great product

Pros:

EmailOctopus was SOOOOOO easy to use! I love it. I came over discouraged AF from trying MailChimp. Anyone whoever used MailChimp either has a degree in the software or hired someone. It is ridiculously difficult to use and it embeds itself into everything. EmailOctopus is so simple and effective. I got real-time results and I ended up making quite a bit of money emailing old customers. I will definitely be using EmailOctobus from here on out.

Cons:

The only thing I didn't like is that I didn't find it sooner.

Comments: Overall, I think I am using EmailOctopus for more than 3-4 years now I think. I have been very satisfied with their product and haven't found any other service which gives me such good features at this price point. All the best to their team and hoping they take EmailOctopus to new heights.

Pros:

I have been using this since it was a very small product. I have seen it grow and add new features with time. They have definitely grown for the better and added some really nice automated marketing features without increasing the cost too much.

Cons:

Amazon SES reputation management is the biggest issue I have faced. Though, it's not their part of the product directly but there should be some way of managing the reputation and fixing those issues from within their product. Whenever I had doubts, their team did help me out a lot.

Comments: I think EmailOctopus is a simplified version of something like Mailchimp; really impressed by the way it simplifies the entire process.

Pros:

The ease of use (any day). Really easy to import/export the contacts; the analytics are accurate and easily digestable.

Cons:

Certain glitches when it comes to drafting the email (like changing the image size or highlighting some text as bold). Rest all is great!

Comments: I'm very happy using this email marketing provider, I'm sending one Marketing mail weekly!

I tried several email marketing tools, and EmailOctopus is the best option, is very friendly and easy to use.

Cons:

No negative feedbacks for now, I'm very happy to find and use this tool to connect with my client's trough this e-mail service.

Some features could be refined, such as being able to keep various campaign emails in folders, global delete emails in lists.

The Perfect Solution

Comments: I had a suggestion for a new feature and contacted customer service. They responded within hours and were extremely friendly. I have been very pleased with this program and will definitely be recommending it to others.

Pros:

I examined many email clients before selecting Email Octopus. What really made this program stand above the rest was the fact that I could have 2500 subscribers on my list and still remain on the free program.

Cons:

The "Drag and Drop" feature in the email builder has a slight learning curve, but it is still much easier to use than other programs I've worked with.

Very Sleek

Comments: Love EmailOctopus; gave us space to grow reasonably from the free version to a paid one with more emails.

Pros:

Easy to duplicate old templates and change details, ideal for our weekly events newsletter. Looks sleek and professional on all devices

Cons:

Some file limits on photos, can be tedious to drag and drop but I think that's more my computer than EmailOctopus.

A good option if you're starting out

Comments: It's a nice provider is you're starting up and don't have many subscribers; less than 2500. The templates are very convenient and attractive to use. Tagging and segmentation got better better over the time. However, opening rate is still concerning due to inefficient CAN Spam that leads to identifying emails sent from EmailOctopus as spam instead of landing in the receiver's inbox folder.

Pros:

When I started using EmailOctopus, the first feature that attracted me to their service was their templates. There is a good variety to choose from. The designs are nice and not boring like most of the presets that come with mailers. It was easy to use to send weekly newsletters.

Cons:

I faced two problems when I used EmailOctopus. One, the open rate was dismal compared to other mailing services due to spam complaints. Most of the emails were either sent to spam or blocked. It caused delivery issues that eventually made me use a different mailer. Two, list management. I wasn't able to import subscribers easily, segment or segregate or have a lead page to gather subscribers.

Love EmailOctopus!

Pros:

EmailOctopus is focused on one thing - helping you send beautiful emails to your subscribers. It's not bloated, it's simple to use, and it's priced very competitively. We switched from Mailchimp a few years ago. We love the ability to use our Amazon SES account to keep costs low for our high volume of weekly email sends. I've also switched client's from Mailchimp to the EmailOctopus Pro plan and it always saves them time and money.

Cons:

Would be great to have more integrations with other content management systems but they keep improving every day!

Comments: Overall, the experience with EmailOctopus has been largely positive.

Pros:

EmailOctopus looks easy at first, but I will highly encourage anyone to look into the API for more serious use cases. Depending on your mileage, it may take you longer to integrate, but if you have worked with competitors, it only should take you a few hours at most to build a fully integrated flow with the API.

Cons:

The editor is a little finicky at times and the documentation for power users could be made more visible. I would also expect better support for managing multiple accounts at this price point.

Comments: The experience has been very good. Hopefully they will continue to improve the product with quick editing features.

Pros:

It's integration with amazon ses is key which lowers the overall price when compared to aweber or other products.

Cons:

Needs a better system for removing inactive users.

Comments: I'm getting more emails out and having more interaction with my customers. With the algorithms on social media changing daily, being able to consistently connect with my customers through email marketing is so important.

Pros:

Email Octopus is so much easier to use that other email marketing products. The templates are simple and impactful, making sending new email campaigns an absolute breeze instead of a full-time job.

Cons:

The only thing I would suggest is that email octopus develop an app for mobile users. That would make it even easier to use!

Fine Product, not overpriced!

The product is easy to use after initial set up and I've found it easy to teach others to use it.

There were some design issues in the early days, but those have mostly been fixed and so I really don't have anything to dislike!

I've been in online marketing since mid 90's and this by far is the easiest, most user friendly and reliable email service.
