"Amazing VDR!"

Comments: Uploading documents and making changes are so easy. Any time I use a different VDR I get frustrated.

Pros: It is much easier to use then most other VDR's I have worked with. The functionality and intuitive features are the best out there.

Cons: There are no specific complaints I have with this software. A VDR is supposed to make things easy for us to upload documents in a secure location and Deal Room has solved that problem.

"DealRoom Feedback"

Comments: Good. We didn't control the software choice but it was easy to use.

Pros: This was our first time using DealRoom. Our partner uses this as a secure data portal for sharing sensitive, controlled data.
We found it very useful and if we had questions, the support team was very quick to respond, resolve, and confirm we understood why the issue occurred and that we were clear with the explanation.
The system was easy to navigate and track usage and updates.

Cons: No significant issues. We were a little confused at times when one person on the team reviewed "new" data which caused the "new" flag to fade and others might miss this due to the volume of data shared. A suggestion: retain the "new" flags for one full day and change the color once the entry is initially reviewed (e.g. green moves to yellow) and stays yellow for 24 hours so the team knows it's new but has been reviewed. Not a big thing, just a suggestion.

Comments: We often use DealRoom to manage transactions--such a big help to keep everyone organized and on the same page.

Pros: My favorite is the ability to download the data room index and keep folders organized. Organization is key!

Cons: There isn't anything I like least about the software.

Comments: Positive experience. Crisp user interface.

Pros: Ease of use (navigation); do not require massive training.

Cons: None, for my limited use - all desired features were well handled.

Comments: So far, so good. It has all the functionality I need and more, and the pricepoint is perfect - the biggest drawback to a lot of these systems is the price, but I haven't found that an issue here.

Pros: So far, I've really enjoyed the overall functionality. I've worked with 2 other data room systems, and they were pretty good too but quite pricey and I wasn't getting anything extra from them.

Cons: So far, nothing wrong. Above, I gave customer service 5 stars - the truth is that I haven't used their customer service yet. That's a positive, I suppose.

"Easy experience for end user!"

Pros: Intuitive, just like managing folders and documents on my computer. Never had a proble gaining access.

Cons: Notifications for each document uploaded coukd be overkill at times, would orefer a daily rollup or a proactive outreach based on the volume of notifications I was getting to ask if I’d like to turn them off.

"Functional software"

Comments: A good tool to share, review and track action items (along with the current status of action item).
The software is easy to use and functions as advertised.

Pros: You are email notified of all changes/adds to dealroom.

Cons: Spreadsheets can be a challenge to see all cells- you will have to download to get a full file view. This can add a little time - when you just want to see a quick response.

Comments: Excellent platform/tool with easy navigation and use. I would highly recommend.

Pros: Easy to use and navigate through as well as real time notifications when new documents were submitted.

Cons: Unable to use the request for information function but that may have been the way my company set it up.

"DealRoom seems to work well, but still mildly irritating in steps to download a document"

Comments: I am a user downloading documents for due diligence review.

Pros: I like the email on access with IP address. I think that helps protect unauthorized access.

Cons: Download process on files into a web link, then a zip file, then to PC, then to unzipped format is still a bit time consuming and irritating. Should be easier just to download files directly to a designated PC folder without going through the zip file stuff in the middle.

Comments: Awesome

Pros: The dealroom is easy to navigate. You can make a list of all new documents uploaded in the index IRL. There is an ease of downloading documents too

Cons: Nothing! It made my life very easy as I was easily able to look for new documents everyday and the customer support was also very helpful

"Document Collection Made Easy"

Pros: All the acquisition documents are in one place, broken down by category and titled so it's easy to use and find what you are looking for

Cons: It would be nice to know prior to clicking on a Request List document if there isn't any information in that folder.

Pros: The flexibility of the tool and the ability to track user progress and ping them through the tool to make updates

Cons: The downloading and uploading of documents is a little clunky, otherwise it’s very powerful but super expensive compared to other competitor options

Pros: Ease of use. It was very easy to download files in a quick and efficient manner. If a file was not downloadable, it was clearly indicated. I liked the ability to download certain folders or the entire database depending on preference. Would definitely recommend.

Cons: My only concern was if I posed a question to the DealRoom team or sell-side bankers, we had to create a 'topic', then ask the question, and then assign the question to a specific user. This was not very clear and left a few questions go unanswered for days because no one was properly assigned.

Pros: I found it to be fairly easy and very user friendly.

Cons: I thought there were too many update emails from deal room.

Pros: Easy to set-up and use. Great tool that is meeting our needs.

Cons: Needs a little more functionality around notification timing and requirements

Comments: Average experience. Wanted to have a place to safely show internal documents to external users.
However, the user experience feedback from the external users were less then positive.

Pros: - setup is simple
- customer service is great
- templates are helpful

Cons: misses a range of features to make the jump from average to good
missing:
- bookmarking for users to indicate on which document they were
- individual commenting of documents visible for all
- user specific marking of documents for working through the document
- large excel sheets are not possible to view in a good way. Any kind of zoom feature for this format is missing

"Extremely Useful for Collaboration"

Pros: We work on a small team that is spread out across multiple offices and this software enabled up to collaborate seamlessly and check on the progress of a task without being intrusive. Very easy to use.

Cons: There was a bit of a learning curve but once we figured out the software, it was excellent.

"I would considering using DealRoom, if prices are competitive."

Pros: Ease of access when navigating through the dataroom.

Cons: Sometimes when I tried downloading the full dataroom, the names of folders and documents were longer than what Windows permitted, and thus wasn't able to save these documents.

Comments: Nice having shared area for important confidential documents. I like email notifications when a new document has been uploaded or edited.

Pros: Easy access and organization of documents. Organization of deals.

Cons: Nothing. Every thing offing is similar to other deal sights. Layout is nice and doesn't feel antiquated.

Comments: Used for M&A activity and document/data sharing. Functional, efficient with easy navigation. Uploading and downloading of files is easy.

Pros: Layout of the site and ease in finding documents. Well organized.

Cons: No real issues with the software. Documents were typically easy to find. Search function was adequate.

Comments: It is relatively easy to navigate - however the only problem is tracking what is new and what is information already uploaded. Especially with comments in requests and documents linked there. Makes it confusing if not in documents folder.

Pros: Ease of downloading documents relatively quickly to our folders

Cons: Hard to track new data coming through this dataroom ie whats new and whats already there

Comments: Compared with other VDRs, which tend to be more complicated and expansive than necessary, DealRoom has been easy to use with an appropriate level of functionality.

Pros: The software is straightforward and easy to use.

Cons: Nothing to report
