Pros:

Dropbox is super convenient, offering a great mobile iOS app, integration into Microsoft Surface/tablet, and the standard desktop integration. We use Dropbox on both PC & Mac OS seamlessly.

Cons:

I suspect that it could be vulnerable to malware if anyone on the team uploads an infected file.

Dropbox is Essential to our Business

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: Overall we like Dropbox a LOT and use it every day. If I had the option I'd go back in time and have started using it earlier.

Pros:

Dropbox for business is one of the most essential business services we use. To be honest we used the free version for many years, then upgraded several times until we got to where we are now. We are willing to pay for the cloud storage because it secures our data off site and allows us to access it out of the office. That doesn't seem like a big deal today but it wasn't always as easy as it is now. We basically use it as a file cabinet and keep about half our active files in it and use it as an archive for all our old files. It's accessed every single day and at this point we couldn't live without it. I highly recommend Dropbox for Businesses.

Cons:

One of the main cons is that we are not able to have multiple people working on the same document at the same time like Google Drive. So we have pivoted and keep more of our PDF's and non living files in Dropbox.

Dropbox Business Review

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: Our overall experience with Dropbox has been superb. We definitely got the return for investing in the platform and we got that back in a short period of time. The collaboration between the team has been seamless since we all work remotely, we can easily manage our files and documents, we can manage our storage without too many problems and we can now deliver to our clients in time and efficiently. The pricing is fair and it's easy to use as compared to other platforms in the same space and has been an industry leader in this space for years as well.

Pros:

Dropbox has made my life and my team's life a lot easier when it comes to managing and sharing files within the team. Having a central repository where we can share and interact with the different files we use as a team has been really smooth for our business processes. As a Sales team that is working remotely, Dropbox solved a problem that we never thought we would have, until we all started working remotely because of covid and the lockdowns. The cloud storage offering from Dropbox has been critical in ensuring our efficiency as a team, and having the ability to operate on different operating systems was a plus to the team. It has definitely made collaboration smoother, you have multiple ways of sharing files and documents, and the fact that it integrates with other major platforms that you might already be using as an organization is a relief. One feature we love as a team as well is the seamless sync option from different devices, which makes collaboration a lot easier as everything we do is updated in real-time and syncs across all devices.

Cons:

The major issue for us was that sometimes it takes longer to load large files and if you are on a deadline, it can mess with you. In most cases, it takes way longer to load larger files than it should normally do. That is my main challenge with Dropbox at the moment

For the project director, managing research projects is incredibly convenient and secure with it.

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: In addition, it makes version control possible, which makes it possible to monitor modifications and access previous iterations of documents. This is a crucial feature for managing research-derived data.

Pros:

In addition to facilitating simple access, Dropbox Business offers ample cloud storage to manage all of the project's research data and documents. To promote teamwork, the tool enables real-time file editing and collaboration with shared folders. Via file encryption and two-factor authentication, the platform offers the highest level of security for confidential research data. To further improve productivity, Dropbox Business integrates with various platforms and tools.

Cons:

Limited functionality when offline, which may present a challenge in places with spotty internet service. Even with lots of storage, there might be restrictions depending on the subscription plan, which could mean making extra purchases.

50/50 on whether it's a good choice for photographers.

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Looking back, I'm 50/50 on whether Dropbox was the best option for me - Google Drive may have been the better option due to not having to install anything and being able to upload just through the web browser. Now I have so much work stored on DB I'm a little stuck in being able to move easily to another platform so I persevere!

Pros:

The competitive pricing, affordability of paying monthly. The familiarity - I was already using Dropbox for shared projects and personal. The amount of storage. At the time of purchase, I thought it was the better option for photo storage.

Cons:

I'm unable to upload high-resolution photos via the Dropbox web browser as my session times out. This is a big disadvantage to the way I work/backup as I dislike having Dropbox installed on my laptop due to the storage space required.

Online File storage

5.0 last year

Comments: using it every day to store my design files makes it quick and easy and then I can access them from other locations if. i need to.

Pros:

ease of deployment and the fact you can lock individuals out of sections/ files with access rights

Cons:

cost per user is quite high, would like to see other package options for users and or storage cases - the tear storage is ok but does jump - a middle ground in both cost and storage would be good

Good for what it does, but too pricey to be my favorite

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: I like Dropbox Business as a cloud storage solution, but feel strongly that it does not hold up as an all-in-one product. You still need other products to get your work done and/or integrate them with Dropbox Business.

Pros:

Dropbox Business has an ease of use for those who are low tech savvy. I find it to be an intuitive interface for navigating, uploading, and organizing files quite similar to the File Explorer within Windows computers. Thus, it was simple to figure out how to use Dropbox Business. Better than File Explorer is Dropbox Business's version history log and ability to restore deleted files - this has saved me more times than I can count. Of course, the selling point is large file storage and ability to send large files which is extremely helpful with media like videos in particular.

Cons:

These days, the cloud is a very expensive place to own property. There is no beating around the bush that Dropbox Business is more costly than competitors. The price for this product is hardly comparable to a product like Google Workspace which hosts a variety of tools. Dropbox Business has some catching up to do there. The only advantage Dropbox Business has is storage size. There have also been times where the Dropbox system slows or freezes. I'd like to think that in 2024 we are past having files freeze up so this is a bit annoying.

OG File Share

Comments: Lovely and the mobile version was decent. We mainly moved due to Google including drive in its suite.

Pros:

Dropbox business was sleek and streamlined. It was extremely easy to organize files and to share them with individuals.

Cons:

Since this was early to the market and set the standard, I feel as though innovation and new features just didn't happen enough.

The Best Choice for Teams

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: When our project got larger than the initial scope, the Dropbox Business account was the only reasonable choice, relative to the high value per dollar it brings for its mostly-seamless cloud storage.

Pros:

It's the industry-standard for team-accessible document sharing.

Cons:

Syncing can be problematic, if I can't get reliable internet to my MacBooks.

Good cloud storage solution

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: I really like using Dropbox Business. My files are always available no matter what device I am using. They are easy to find and organize too. I use this mostly internally but occasionally I will need to send a file to a customer and I like that they have no problem opening the link.

Pros:

My favorite thing about Dropbox business is that it stays up to date no matter what device I am using. When I travel I use my iPad and cell phone and when I'm in the office I am on my laptop and no matter how I access this, the files are always up to date.

Cons:

It seems like I am upgrading my storage all the time. I wish there was a larger option for a cheaper price. The price just seems to keep going up.

Dropbox Business: The Ultimate Cloud Storage Solution for Seamless Collaboration and Ironclad Security"

4.0 11 months ago

Pros:

Dropbox Business has been a game-changer for our company's file storage and sharing needs. With its intuitive interface and seamless integration across devices, collaborating on projects has never been easier. The robust security features give us peace of mind knowing our sensitive data is protected, while the generous storage capacity accommodates our ever-growing file library.

Cons:

While Dropbox Business excels in many areas, one aspect that left me wanting was the limited file preview capabilities for certain file types. As a design agency, we frequently work with large graphic and video files that can't be easily previewed within Dropbox itself. Having to download these large files locally to view them interrupts the otherwise smooth workflow. Additionally, the desktop and mobile apps could use some performance optimizations. At times, they can feel a bit sluggish, especially when syncing changes across multiple large files simultaneously. A more streamlined experience would enhance the overall user experience. Lastly, while the pricing is competitive, it would be great to see more flexibility in the plans offered. Some smaller teams may find the current tiers too restrictive or costly for their needs. Introducing more granular storage and user limits could broaden Dropbox's appeal to businesses of all sizes. Despite these minor gripes, Dropbox Business remains a powerful and exceptionally well-rounded solution that has immensely improved our team's collaboration and file management capabilities.
