My experience has been pleasant so far in using this software. Easy to maneuver thru it.
Comments: Ease of you. Having the option to export to excel, word and PDF is also very great. Customer service is very responsive and timely with their responses.
Pros:
Search feature is great so you don't have to know exactly where a report or feature is, you can just type in a few words and it finds it for you. Adding additional documents in the software for Journal Entries or permits to a job.
Cons:
This software does not do consolidated Financials, you have to export to excel and manually consolidate it.

Integration between project management and accounting. Also, the interface is very intuitive and appealing.

We had a very bumpy launch which continues to have repercussions over a year later.

Comments: Overall Jonas Premier is a good software, but it is definitely not the greatest accounting software. At least just yet.

The software is very easy to navigate and very easy to use.

Many errors and not all the features (especially accounting or reporting) are not well developed.

I must say, I’m extremely pleased with the accounting system – I absolutely love it. It simplifies many tasks for me. The cloud-based accessibility allows us to access it from anywhere, anytime, which is invaluable in today’s remote environment. The user-friendly interface is a huge help with customer deposits and subcontract agreements. The job summary report and forecast screen are invaluable tools for our team. I truly appreciate the support we receive whenever we encounter any issues; they’re always available and provide exceptional training.

Premier is a pivotal tool in bridging the gap between operations and finance!
Pros:
Premier has been a true game-changer, it’s exceptionally user-friendly and adaptable. It’s been a pivotal tool in bridging the gap between operations and finance. Thanks to Premier, we successfully encouraged our project managers to proactively utilize the platform for tasks such as entering subcontracts, and change orders which has resulted in improved financial transparency for their projects. The outstanding Premier training team played a critical role in facilitating the adoption. Now, everyone is effectively managing their budgets and monitoring projects real time.

A Game-Changing Construction Management Software
Pros:
Premier is a modern, systematic, and highly effective construction management software that has transformed our operations. It streamlined our AP process, enhanced project compartmentalization, and provided insights into previously less visible costs. The software’s commitment to data security and organization, highlighted by the OData feature, has seamlessly allowed us to systematize and error-proof our spreadsheets, enabling real-time modeling and interaction between our data and our analysis without the need to constantly recreate, export and import; we have access, control, and agency over our information. The UI and extensive reporting are impressive!

Incredible customer service + great multi-company environment
Pros:
We are a growing real estate developer that migrated to Premier from QuickBooks. During this transition, we’ve been pleased with the multi-company environment that allows you to easily switch from any screen and run consolidated financial statements by company. The software provides full job costing with multiple levels of detail, such as budget reports and tools, seamless integration between job cost and GL financials. It easily allows you to request and track approvals for invoices, contracts, PO’s and provides electronic signature as an additional benefit. Premier Excel permits you to pull live accounting data for endless custom report possibilities and allows you to attach files for all types of transactions to store in a folder system that’s easy to use.
Cons:
It’s a learning curve on how everything works with some inconsistency between modules in terms of functionality and layout, however, the team provides outstanding customer service and support when it’s needed. As our projects progress, we look forward to leveraging more of Premier’s features, such as the automated bank draws and vendor invoice portal.

The accounting features are amazing! As PM with over 10 years of experience, it’s the best accounting software I’ve ever used. I have all the information in one system and can run any report you can think of!
Cons:
Field Management Tools need updating. Having the ability to access more from the mobile version. The addition of a photo tool will complete the software as a go to one platform.

One of the things I liked most about Premier was its comprehensive feature set and the wide range of tools it offered. From project management to resource allocation, budgeting, and reporting, Premier provided a robust and integrated solution for managing complex projects. The ability to track project progress, assign tasks, and collaborate with team members in real-time was extremely valuable. Additionally, the customizable dashboards and advanced analytics provided valuable insights into project performance and helped in making data-driven decisions.
Cons:
While Premier had many positive aspects, one thing I liked least was the learning curve associated with its advanced features. The software had a plethora of options and settings, which could be overwhelming for new users or those who were not familiar with project management software. It would be beneficial to have more user-friendly tutorials or onboarding resources to help users navigate and make the most of Premier's capabilities.
Construction accounting in a smaller PNW company
Pros:
Premier allows for our worlds of project management and accounting to sync in a cohesive manner that promotes efficient reporting and business practices.
Cons:
There are some modules that would be best streamlined if they had the functionality to link between similar modules.

Comments: Our trainer truly took the time to understand our business and individual requirements for each of our PMs & Accountants. We are a very detailed organization, and he was able to ask the right questions and get into the details that matter. Coming from AccuBuild – it was difficult to process CORs and link them to the subcontract. In Premier, everything is so automated!! It provides great visibility in your profitability and makes it easy for project managers & estimators to drill down into information real-time. Having this transparency is important to help us make more informed decisions. Best of all, it’s easy to use – even the PMs & Senior estimators love it and have adopted it. This is one solution that makes it easy to better manage your people and projects.

Jonas Premier software review
Comments: For the owner of the company, the benefit of working with Jonas Premier is significant. The data I post translates to a comprehensive project overview for him to immediately know that projects are meeting budget and profitability targets. Understanding that and learning how to provide the information within Jonas Premier was a challenge initially but well worth the time invested to become proficient in the use of the software. Without the help of the support team at Jonas Premier, I'm not sure I'd be saying that - they are awesome!
Pros:
Jonas is incredibly robust, especially for anyone in the construction industry. The multitude of project reports in Jonas Premier allows you to completely understand the profitability of projects (in real time and with the ability to drill down in problem areas) and to quickly make adjustments. When you're dealing with multi million dollar projects, the ability to pivot quickly is critical for ensuring you're meeting your anticipated profitability. The support team at Jonas is amazing! Whenever I'd encounter a process that I wasn't familiar with or something didn't seem to be working the way I anticipated, they were quick to provide information and support documentation that would help me to better understand.
Cons:
Jonas as more of a learning curve than I'd anticipated. While it follows all accounting principles, usability is not quite as easy as Quickbooks - nor should it be, as Jonas has far more features for project management! But once I had worked with the software for a couple of months and understood the processes for dealing with changes in distribution or reversing journal entries, everything made far more sense. I now consider myself fairly fluent in Jonas Premier and prefer working in it over other accounting programs I've used.
Great Customer Service and Software
Comments: We are extremely happy with Jonas Premier! The customer service is outstanding and our rep always goes above and beyond when we have questions. Although we do not fit into the standard general contractor box, Jonas has shown us that it can be utilized to fit our business needs.
Pros:
We enjoy the scalability and functionality of Jonas. As a small business, it allows us to function at a much larger scale with less woman-power. Previous to using Jonas, we were doing most business functions manually, such as AP, AR, and Subcontracts. In the last year, we have been able to integrate these processes into Jonas which has improved workflow tremendously! We love the reporting options we have and how we can get real-time information without having to search through a bunch of emails and hard files. The release of the Sub Pay App has been heaven sent for us! It has eliminated all confusion on contract amounts, approved change orders, and our subcontractors submitting various different invoice formats at various different times in the month. Our subs find the process easy to use and our admins get all the information they need with one click.
Cons:
We have noticed in working in certain areas that even after saving and refreshing the tabs, we will have to completely log out and log back in to see changes. It is also very difficult to correct/delete certain things after they have been processed. We understand this is to protect the integrity of our data, however, there have been times when we would have liked to override/remove items for our own ease of use.
Accounting / Reporting Review
Comments: We have really enjoyed starting to work in the Premier software. It has been helpful in realizing lots of efficiencies in reporting WIP and submitting monthly draw requests on time.
Pros:
Onboard training was excellent. Support for questions or issues after implementation is excellent. Web-based software so employees and owners can view and add information from where ever they are working. Plus backup is current and ME rollover is smooth and doesn't require lots of processing to accomplish. Lots of reporting options and owners find the information easy to locate and readily available for review as needed. Very intuitive to use once for day to day activities.
Cons:
Lien waivers need improvement - difficult to use. Premier is in the process of updating this feature and we are excited for that to be rolled out.
Great software with easy to use interface
Comments:
Really great software that has allowed our accounting and PM teams to communicate and collaborate easier. Previously, i felt that both teams had their own "language". This program helps bridge that gap.
Also during the COVID crisis, software was immensely helpful in allowing us to work from home.
Pros:
- Ease of Use - Modern UI (i hated some software that looked like it was an updated DOS. This software has an almost gmail-life feel). - good integration between accounting and pm tasks and responsibilities - very good customer support. they are very responsive to our questions, and very open to suggestions. - Ideas portal: separate software support & feedback where software developers actually listen to users and may incorporate our ideas into the next software update
Cons:
- customer support time zone. software is located on North America eastern coast, so for me in california, there's only a 4 hour window or so when you can real-time discuss (via zoom, phone, etc). - some accounting features not as strong as QB. (this is a good/bad kinda issue). bad in that one doesn't have the flexibility to make changes like one would in QB, but good in that it actually forces you to be more GAAP minded - could use more out of the box accounting reports; and or report customatization (similar to QB)
Jonas Premier for a Start-up Company
Comments: Alysa Pardhan who is part of the implementation team was fantastic to work with! The type of person that was patient, knowledgeable and able to troubleshoot on the spot to keep things moving forward. Jonas Premier is lucky to have such a person on their team... she would have a spot on the Iron Moose Construction Team anytime!
Pros:
When we decided to launch our construction company we wanted to invest in the best tools, equipment and back-end management software. We found everything we needed from Jonas Premier. The implementation and learning curve required a lot of energy and input, but very well worth the effort.
Cons:
The Premier user interface feels dated; it's probably due for a refresh.
Good product and good implementation team
Comments: Overall, very good experience. The system has some features that are very beneficial and convenient. However, I wish they would have a way to link to bank sites so the data would be automatically imported in for bank reconciliations.
Pros:
Easy to use interface and the teams dedicated to training us on how to use the system. Alesia from Elevate has worked closely with us on a weekly basis and was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Was very responsive to our questions and provided good solutions that were specific to our company needs. It was also beneficial to have video tutorials that explained in detail how the modules worked.
Cons:
Premier would have technical issues regularly. We would need to refresh the whole page in order to resolve the issue which takes is a bit frustrating because the data would be needed to be entered again.
Strong Customer Support and Workflow Approval Capabilities
Comments: I would recommend this software to other companies in the real estate sector. While the software has some weaknesses, their team is constantly working on adding new features to improve the user experience and efficiency. Also, customer support at Jonas is very strong and their team is usually very responsive and is there to make sure your transition goes successfully.
Pros:
The software has very robust workflow routing capabilities and can help companies transition to a paperless workflow approval process. Controls within Jonas are strong and there is a lot of ability to customize what each of the users can and cannot do in the system. The implementation team is very helpful and responsive to questions/concerns. They work hard to address issues encountered and have helped to ensure that the transition process goes smoothly as possible.
Cons:
The software is mainly geared to sub-contractors and not real estate developers. As such, Jonas currently lacks some capabilities which cater to developers (e.g. currently the Change Order report only looks at changes from the revenue perspective as opposed to the cost perspective). However, Jonas is working on addressing these issues. Navigation within the system can be improved to increase efficiencies (e.g. being able to select multiple invoices within a batch to approve as opposed to doing one by one if you don't want to approve the whole batch, or not being constantly asked whether you want to save changes while you're still scrolling within the same module). Also, sometimes there are bugs in the system (e.g. not reflecting the changes that were made) but most of these can be resolved quickly by logging in and out of the system.

Comments: Premier is a software that is increasing our efficiency initially and I am anticipating it to continue to increase as we use it more. I am very pleased with our choice and feel that it will allow our company to perform and grow profitably and efficiently in the future.
Pros:
The software is very intuitive use and very easy to use. The integration between accounting and project management is very smooth, getting committed costs across both platforms and allowing for electronic subcontractor pay apps really emphasizes the efficiency of this software. The ability to customize the document management is also very helpful. The training program was very thorough and helped us to go live very easily.
Cons:
The submittal module and a drawing management modules are the two that need the most attention, but both of these are being upgraded in the few months.
Great Product. Great Value
Pros:
The software is very intuitive and all of the modules are consistent through out. It is very easy to train new hires as each module looks and operates similarly. Data easily downloads into excel, very powerful tool!
Cons:
I think the software needs better integration between its job billing and job cost modules. Improved reporting in this same respect would go a long way as well.
