BigTime streamlines projects, optimizes utilization, accelerates payments, and supports scalable growth for services organizations.
BigTime is incredibly inexpensive and easy to get into compared to competing software. If you have a dedicated team, you could be implemented in as little as a month.
The only thing I can say we really dislike about BigTime is not having a "clock-in, clock-out" function. Meaning the software does not record the time of day you start and end.

Both the interface and the customer service are excellent
Comments: Through the BigTime Wallet, sending and receiving invoices is a breeze. BigTime has improved the speed with which we are paid. The fact that it integrates with Quickbooks makes billing a breeze. Using BigTime wallet, you can get paid much more quickly.
Pros:
It's simple to use, and the help desk service is excellent. Brittany U. and I got on a Zoom session to discuss the problem, and we were able to address it quickly. You can count on an immediate response from the support team, or at least a prompt reply.
Cons:
Until the features are explained in greater detail, they may be difficult to use. Is there a way to add files or links to external files to a project? Not yet, at least.
Alternatives Considered:
New to Big Time
Comments: The implementation process was time consuming but thorough and we had plenty of assistance along the way. There are various way to learn the systems which is great for a team that may not be able to commit to learning at the same time.
Pros:
Big Time is so easy to use for time entry, project tracking and reporting. The capabilities of the system are very impressive and the team is committed to continuing to product enhancements.
Cons:
The amount of time required to get through the data conversion preparation, reviewing data, training and learning to setup the system.
Software only good at time tracking, not billing management.
Comments: This product was grossly misrepresented to me by the sales team. They don't understand the capabilities of the software and only want to make a sale. It is not a good software for me and a terrible fit. I specifically said I didn't want to have to integrate with QB and now that is the only option I have to get reports and billing invoices. It will take many hours to reconcile back to QB and at this point, it would take less time to start over with a new software.
Pros:
It is easy to input time and create the invoices.
Cons:
I don't like the fact that I can't generate a report of services billed. You have to integrate with another software like QB to get any information on sales by item. You can't easily see how much a client owes you without manually adding up the outstanding invoices and the credits don't apply. There is no way to generate a billing invoice in BigTime. Basically it is only useful to track time and create invoices. Also, BigTime Wallet is unreliable for depositing payments. It take more than ten days in some situations.
Big Time Upgrade Project
Comments: The use of Bigtime adding jobs and preparing the info to add Professional Times and expenses is very fluent and let you to determine the invoice to our client.
Pros:
It is easy and flexible in many of the task
Cons:
I'm using an old version and the upgrade is going to be a hard Time.
Customer Service
Comments: Invoicing and interfacing with QuickBooks is a huge plus for my business
Pros:
It is a full featured package with many tools I am not using since they don't apply to my business

Some features are not intuitive which leads to extra time to complete or change something
Big Time Software
Comments: Our firm is very happy with Big Time. We have been using the software for almost three years and it has evolved nicely into a very important tool in our daily use. We use it for project time tracking, budgeting, task management, and invoice prep and tracking - it meets a great need for us!
Pros:
Big Time has been a terrific tool for our firm to track time on our projects. The software has been easy to learn and navigate. I have been able to create specific reports that best meet our tracking needs. We also use it for project management, budgeting, and invoice preparation and tracking.
Cons:
I have nothing negative to say about Big Time. From customer support to online Knowledge Base, the answers to most questions can be found easily. The training and follow up support has been top notch. We are very happy with Big Time!

Comments: No complaints. There will be issues with every software program, especially when using in conjunction with another software program.
Pros:
The efficient time tracking & synching with the accounting software to run billing. The interface is user friendly & everybody in the office can enter time & track project status.
Cons:
The synch agent is not always reliable.

Pros:
BigTime has a wide range of resources that are useful for the different types of healthcare projects we are exposed to. Reporting, expense entries, billing invoices are some of the relevant options that make it appealable for users.
Cons:
Some reports are hard to customize. It may require someone who is technically sound to incorporate it within the platform for regular use.

First three months with BigTime
Comments: There was a reasonable amount of well-organized training before our launch. Most of the glitches since then (relatively minor and related to client billing) have been resolved by technical support and more training.Over time, this program should meet our needs very well.
Pros:
Robust features and 10 years of experience. Support staff seems eager to help.I was impressed by Tyler's technical expertise and patience in solving all of my issues.
Cons:
There's a learning curve for billing clients in the complicated ways that architects do. Each month it has gotten easier. Had a few problems with using their proprietary email program for sending invoices out. Knowledge base could be easier to navigate/search.
project budgeting and time tracking dashboard feature is very good
Comments: very good 9/5 out of 10. Great customer support that is United States based.
Pros:
BigTime has a great dashboard that enables me to see multiple jobs at once and see how our hours are tracking with our budgets. And it has a good hours / time tracking input format that is fairly simple and quick. It benefits our architecture office. [sensitive content hidden] helped us figure out some bulk commands that were a great time saver. Excellent and responsive customer support.
Cons:
there are a few kinks integrating with quickbooks, but they are minor in the overall scheme of things

However, the BigTime payment scheme may be a detriment. Although it offers a variety of pricing options to suit various needs and finances, some users have complained that the price can mount up rapidly, particularly for bigger teams or organisations with more intricate billing needs.

Solid Platform for Professional Services Organizations
Comments: Automating, improving, and reducing time and cost required to process weekly time and expense. Providing reporting and audit-ability across the entire process with a few button clicks vs having to sort through manual data collection templates.
Pros:
Overall, we have been very happy with BigTime and its use in support of our field consultants. Our production implementation went smoothly and their staff provided helpful training and support to assist us with our launch. In addition, we have been very pleased with the configurability of the platform - just about every time we wanted to do something a certain way, for example how we wanted to display the form for our field's timesheet data entry, there was a way to configure the system to our liking. Also, we have been very impressed with the speed of the system and the design of the user interface. It's very responsive, easy to use, and everything is laid out intuitively. Also, the Reporting module is very comprehensive and it provides a way to pull data just about any which way one could want. BigTime has also been responsive and helpful in helping to support us when certain custom reports were required and we needed some guidance. Special thanks to both CSRs for their support with our implementation.
Cons:
We have no outstanding support tickets currently and we have only seen a few small glitches but once we bring them to the vendors attention there is usually a way to correct it or some type of acceptable workaround. As far as suggested areas we think they can improve upon, one would be having the ability to set up to send specific invoices to multiple customer contacts on the To: line. Another area for improvement is sometimes the bill rate isn’t pulled into the invoicing module consistently so we have to re-enter all the rates in that particular project code. As far as platform enhancements to make BigTime even better, we have suggested the ability to enhance the Allocations module so a manager can forecast a resource across multiple projects within the same or multiple accounts from the same screen/grid. Today this must be done via clicking into each project in the Project List section which is time consuming and a little clunky. This would be huge for us since we have a number of consultants who work on multiple projects across a given week/month/etc. Another enhancement would be to provide easy-to-pull reports that show a consultants profitability (revenue generated minus cost) across a given date range. This is not currently doable with the platform, but all the data is there since the system maintains both bill rate and cost-level information. We are hoping these items make their way onto the product roadmap here in the relative near future.

Easy to use software with great customer support
Comments: As I've said above, fee tracking and time tracking have really tightened up for our company thanks to BigTime. We're able to know the health of our projects in one click with a report.
Pros:
Our small business needed a platform to help us accurately track the financial health of our projects. We moved to BigTime from QuickBooks Online because we needed deeper control of our time entries and fee tracking. The Report Center really leverages the data entered into the system so that at a push of a button your data is organized and presented in an easy to understand report. Custom reports are a great feature, and with the help of the support team you can create whatever report your company needs. Thanks to BigTime we've been able to track the health of our projects with precision, and the overall health of our company has BigTime to thank. Everyone we've worked with at BigTime ([SENSITIVE CONTENT]) have been extremely friendly and helpful whenever we've come to them with a problem or request.
Cons:
As BigTime has grown over the years they've taken their users suggestions to heart. If a feature isn't currently active on BigTime it most likely is in the pipeline for future integration. We've seen our suggestions turn into real features throughout the duration of our use of the platform which is always great to see when companies listen to their customers. Sometimes the reporting center isn't as intuitive as you'd like it to be, but with a little help from their support team they can help custom build your reports with you.
The best solution for workflow management
Comments: BigTime is the best software for workflow automation and it is easy to learn. It increases the efficiency of the company, with several features. I recommend bigtime

It is the best service automation software, a real helper that has helped us grow our business with its features. Bigtime makes it easy to manage various custom reports and process payments. Its interface is easy to use.

Since I have been using it I have not encountered any problems as such, it works very well

Flexible Project SetUp and QBO Integration
Pros:
We support many different kinds of projects and contracts. We have T&M, Fixed Fee, Recurring and some Fixed Fee with a T&M Element. We like BigTime because it is easy to set up a project with tasks (line items) that match our contracting terms. Also, it is possible to set Cost and Bill rates at the Company, Project or even Task Level. This kind of flexibility makes it easy for us to produce invoices that match our contract setup. We also needed something with fairly tight QuickBooks Online integration. BigTime deliveres here also. Lastly, the reporting facility in BigTime is very usuable.
Cons:
There is not really anything that I find I don't like. From time to time, I have a feature request for the BigTime team. They communicate very well regarding their roadmap.

BigTime Saves Time
Comments: Reporting and invoicing upon project completion.
Pros:
BigTime automate time and expense tracking on projects which improve productivity in real-time.
Cons:
The bugs that I used to complain about were eradicated by vendor success team.
BigTime is the real thing!
Comments: BigTime has changed our way of recording employees' time and invoicing our clients. Putting our time into BigTime is extremely easy for our employees. We can track projects and see productivity in real-time. This then easily translates into our invoices for quick review prior to emailing to clients. The response to the new look of our invoices has been amazing. We have been told they are so easy to review and process for payment. Several of our clients have completed the payment process on their end in a very short period of time, which has led to quicker payment to us.
Pros:
The best feature of BigTime is time tracking. First, it is easy for employees to record their time. Second, it gives managers the ability to track the time their employees spend on their projects.
Cons:
The only issue I have had so far is the need to refresh BigTime in a new window in order to see the changes that I made. It isn't a very big deal to have to do that. I was also told in the chat feature that using Chrome vs Edge would solve this problem. So an easy solution to a non-problem.
Big Time Switch from Timeslips after 20+Years
Pros:
It is bendable once you figure out exactly what you need it to do. Customer Support works with you to get to your end goal. I am particularly pleased with the ongoing support have received from [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], who handles every support ticket with Support, Satisfaction and Complete Competence . Her knowledgebase is clearly an asset to her customers and what she is unsure of, she escalates and does not spin her or your wheels wasting time, which is a precious commodity in the World of REMOTE WORK Space.

Its inability to perform some task that I am used to which is to be expected in a switch form one system to the next.
