Collaborative Support

Comments: Fantastic support on the development of our customized system.

Pros:

It's an affordable comprehensive system that gives you the keys to operate the system and modify with support.

Cons:

What I liked least was that it is a unique system that I had to learn how to use. Fortunately it was not difficult to learn and the team offered great support through videos, documents and person to person coaching.

Great customer service and fast setup

Comments: This product has significantly reduced the administrative time we spend on grantmaking. We have more than earned back the cost of the license in time saved.

Pros:

We had a last-minute need for an online granting process and needed an affordable tool where we could get everything running quickly with minimal input from our end. Even though their development times are typically longer, they were willing to adapt to our timeline and still delivered the forms a week earlier! Throughout the entire process, their support team has been amazing--always available, always happy to help and incredibly fast to turn things around. We hardly had to do any of the development ourselves, despite this being a last-minute request. As a small team with limited spare capacity, this was a lifesaver in being able to keep to our grantmaking timeline.

Cons:

While the functionalities are enough for most organizations' granting needs, there are a few customization options, such as greater flexibility with repeating questions, which we would have liked. However, the support team helped us find acceptable workarounds.

NOT Worth IT!

Comments: The service has been above average but the platform is designed so poorly it takes away from any saving grace. This has been a horrifying experience for me!

Pros:

Able to mange several programs simultaneously.

Cons:

Not user-friendly Administrators are only sometimes timely in responding to issues Every item has to be built out every single year Time-consuming Too expensive! Again, not user-friendly Waste of time and money. Will not renew!

Comments: Terrific onboarding & development process. Really appreciated how easy they are to work with us for a customized solution to our needs.

Pros:

We moved our paper application process for our scholarship and grant programs completely online. WizeHive has proven to be highly efficient in processing applications, communicating with applicants and reviewing submissions. Such a time-saving resource for our team!

Cons:

We've been very happy so far. Any questions we have had were quickly answered through their customer service.

Comments: This experience has been wonderful and I would recommend WizeHive to anyone I know that works with grants and the management of them.

Pros:

My favorite part of WizeHive honestly outside of functionality of the software, but the staff I have worked with throught the sale and implementation process. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff at WizeHive. They are knowledgable, friendly, and so responsive.

Cons:

The WizeHive Academy modules are a little overwhelming especially when you don't have a lot of time to really dig into them.

Great for managing multiple grant programs

Pros:

WizeHive's set-up and staff support is great-- they walk you through the steps and features of each part of the process so you understand what you can do and where and when and how.

Cons:

We did not consider the reporting dashboard enough when setting up the application, so we had to redo some questions after the fact to get the right format to be able to report accurately and efficiently. This should be considered at every step along the way during the set-up process, and it felt like it was a last-minute thing to which we did not dedicate enough time. The other thing that was a disappointment is the fact that I was told that BILL could be integrated, but it turns out there is a pretty steep fee to do that, which no one seemed to know until months down the road into the process.

Simple to use - self explanatory

Comments: My overall experience has been a good one. The best experience I have is when I can speak with a person at Wizehive for what are complicated questions that I have. It's hard to express your issues in a support ticket, because of that you don't always get the right answers and have to keep asking thru the support ticket. If you could speak with someone, they better understand what you're trying to do and your issues.

Pros:

That the applicant can log in to their application and see what they did last year, they can also see where their application is in the process, emails are simple to send and you have control over the emails being sent

Cons:

I wish that Wizehive had an 800 number - a number you can call and speak with someone. I don't like that I have to send an email stressing that I need to talk to someone. Speaking with a live person is so very helpful and it's the one thing that I feel Wizehive is lacking...in a big way

Customization

Comments: The training and customer service was excellent. All WizeHIve representatives were professional, knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with.

Pros:

The development and training process. WizeHive spent time to learn our program and system before suggesting ways to set up the grant management steps. We were able to tweak it as it was developed to better align the existing process with the online portal.

Cons:

Not being able to download proposal and report templates from the WizeHive portal. Users must visit another website to download templates.

Comments: My overall experience was excellent. After consulting with different grant management systems, we are happy that we chose Wizehive and have recommended it to others. The support and value are incredible, and we don't have to pay for functions that we don't use.

Pros:

The product is easy to use. We work in a face paced environment where the landscape changes frequently. WizeHive gives us the flexibility to modify our approach as needed. The sales department is efficient and overlaps with the design department and there are less steps to creating our workspaces. The onboarding and support team are excellent and provide training and continued support.

Cons:

I don't have any complaints or suggestions.

New to WizeHive but loving it so far.

Pros:

This is our first grant management program, and I did a lot of research into options before going with WizeHive. The customer service has been phenomenal. WizeHive has a great system for onboarding and customizing the program for your specific needs. They are friendly and responsive. We will use WizeHive with our next applicant pool this fall, but so far it seems user friendly for our applicants and has lots of helpful features on the backend.

Cons:

There are a few features and layouts on the admin side that aren't intuitive but I'm still learning.

Comments: Zengine is intuitive to use, and is supported by excellent reference materials and resources for administration. This product is excellent!

Pros:

The programmable portals for grant submission and reviews are excellent, and will be critical to the success of our new initiative to solicit applications for sub-grants. The implementation support during programming was efficient, responsive, and extremely professional.

Cons:

There are not any features that are missing, and the team was willing to add additional features that I needed, such as a time-stamp on the submission confirmation. Their flexibility and support to product users is exceptional.

Customer Support is CRUCIAL

Pros:

I most liked the immense amount of customer support our team received in the process of creating our WizeHive programs. This customer support allowed our team to understand the many ways we could uniquely customize this platform to suit our needs.

Cons:

Some of the back-end creation processes were difficult for our team to manage and learn at first. But with the encouragement and support of the customer service professionals, we managed well. WizeHive takes some getting used to from a user-perspective, but with consistent use and practice, it becomes much more doable.

Comments: WizeHive makes it possible to manage our grant program and the increasing number of proposals that we receive.

Pros:

Customer service is very helpful and responsive. They're helpful in answering simple fix questions, as well as brainstorming on how their software can accommodate more complex requests. Very easy to build your own application form, as well as follow-up forms. The interface can be customized to fit your organization's branding. Online help articles are very helpful and easy to follow. Easy to create and customize reports. Easy to create a new workspace - its basically a copy, paste function. Overall - if we were to go through this process again, we would make the same decision to use WizeHive.

Cons:

Applicants have to create new credentials every year in order to access their application so, they have separate logins for the year they are reporting in and the year they are applying for - that can get confusing. Yearly workspaces cannot communicate with one another so doing YTD comparisons can be challenging. There are some features, such as the calendar and cascading forms, within WizeHive that I wanted to utilize but were not sophisticated enough features to make it worthwhile. Sending an e-mail to users through the WizeHive app comes from the WizeHive domain and frequently goes to the spam folder. While you can direct replies to an internal e-mail, I would like for the e-mail to also appear as though it was sent from our domain.

Regarding the communication between yearly workspaces - this is a key priority for us and is on our near-term roadmap. Cascading forms is a core feature and we'd like to further discuss any issues you are experiencing to see if there is an immediate way to support/address your needs. For clients looking for more advanced calendar functionality, we have other options we can recommend. As for emails, we heard a similar concern from another client, investigated and made some changes to our email plugins that should significantly improve deliverability going forward. Thank you again! I don't love this system

Comments: Mediocre

Pros:

It has most of the features we need for our use, which is an application process. People can log-in and save their status on applications. It can link to get references, and I can get people to review the applications on a review portal.

Cons:

This is the least intuitive interface of a system I have EVER used. It is extremely frustrating. You think you remember how to change a setting or edit a direction somewhere, and you realize it could be in one of a ton of different places. It is extremely frustrating to use, and you would think that simple things like easily downloaded all the applications as files to my own computer would be simple, but they are not. Customer support can be okay, it depends on who you get really. The fact that I used this last year and this year had to be completely refreshed because it's so complicated that I don't remember everything is a big issue. And it's not like I can easily problem-solve. I always need to contact customer support, and I can't even call. My colleagues and I can't believe that a minor thing like putting a blurb/direction before a certain section of a form weren't possible! It has to be somewhere else. Some of my applicants have been confused. We probably won't use this again. Again, it is the least intuitive system I have ever used.
