Pros:

The browser intergration is smooth and easy to use, allowing drag and drop and other useful features. The custom API abilities are very nice too.

Cons:

There are a few minor annoying things - for example, when showing a list of tasks it shows 20 on a page. Instead of being able to "show all" - you only have the option to "show more.

Bynder is our digital assets' authoritative database

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Bynder acts as a central repository for all of our digital assets, making it easier for everyone in the organization and our external partners to access the most up-to-date and accurate versions without wasting time searching for them or second-guessing whether or not they are viewing the most recent revisions. It establishes a system that can be used across all divisions and which can be relied upon to give up-to-date and comprehensive data on our digital holdings.

Pros:

Bynder is used all over our company. Bynder has been an extremely flexible option for us to better manage the distribution and use of all of our digital assets. Inefficient time and effort is wasted trying to locate needed digital files that have been dispersed among multiple computers, shared folders, and emails.

Cons:

There's no way to keep tabs on which files are being transferred, downloaded, etc. It was difficult to locate assets without knowing precisely where they were stored. To use several filters based on a single metaproperty. Minimization of computerized categorization.

Very impressed with the platform and the onboarding team

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Fantastic experience so far. Our products sell themselves on their imagery. Maintaining a consistent and coherent folder structure and naming convention in traditional platforms like Box and Sharepoint has been a headache for years. Bynder removes a lot of these issues and it is quickly adopted by teams and individuals. The platform has some nice features like the external upload which again has solved a long-standing issue we have had with collecting images from suppliers and being able to ensure the meta properties have been added, has really improved the governance of our digital assets. The onboarding experience has been second to none.

Pros:

They are innovative and have some very helpful integrations. There is a good level of customisation that can be done without external support and it is really easy to use. As soon as you demo the product to someone in your organisation, they instantly get it and see the benefits of using the platform. The onboarding experience has been the best I have ever experienced with a software product. The team are very knowledgeable and guides you in small, manageable steps.

Cons:

The different tiers of user roles are part of the contract and the number of high-level roles (e.g. Admins) are quite low as standard.

Alternatives Considered: Aprimo Digital Asset Management, Brandfolder and Cloudinary

Reasons for Switching to Bynder: We had a much better sales experience with Bynder and some of the integrations they had worked really well with our existing tech stack.

Bynder is very user-friendly and configurable

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: Our sales and marketing digital asset management system and our graphics digital asset management system needed to be integrated. We required an easy-to-use and easy-to-manage solution. Bynder gives you access to everything.

Pros:

It was made clear by the Onboarding Manager exactly what needed to be done and when. They gave us with tools to evaluate and spreadsheets to help us verify the platform's suitability for our purposes. The weekly sessions were fruitful, and the "homework" tasks were manageable. The database is well-built, but it also allows for a great deal of customization.

Cons:

Metaproperties and permissions may have benefited from a bit more description of how they're used, especially how they're connected. Things didn't exactly go according to plan, so we had to go back a few times and reorganize.

Intuitive and easy of use

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall, I really like the way it's setup, and the flexibility you have to customize the product for your brand. We've done away with network folders, we've made more people self sufficient. We now know what assets we have. Duplications are pretty non existent. Got rid of allot of manual work on websites; cropping images, replacing documents etc.

Pros:

I like the lack of folder structure, this combined with a good taxonomy, you'll find what you need in seconds.

Cons:

Integrations and flexibility with CMS, but it's getting better. The stability and lack of customization of the Analytics. The rest are just some small issues.

The ultimate solution for effortless digital asset management

5.0 12 months ago

Comments: Bynder has been exceptional in streamlining our digital asset organization.

Pros:

I like its resourceful asset organization tools that simplify the process of locating assets whenever they are required. It has an intuitive interface which enables users at any technical level with DAM systems to use it comfortably and effectively.

Cons:

It would be very beneficial if its search functionality was improved to make it simpler to locate specific assets.

Ensuring Consistency through Bynder's Centralized Hub

5.0 last year

Comments: For managing digital assets and optimising our creative workflows, Bynder has emerged as our creative hub. Version control is guaranteed and the disarray of multiple files is removed thanks to the platform's centralization of our digital assets.

Pros:

Effective organisation, classification, and retrieval of digital assets are made simple by the user-friendly DAM system from Bynder. I like how by providing a centralised location for brand assets, Bynder enforces brand consistency.

Cons:

Particularly in large digital asset libraries, improvements to the search functionality could further optimise asset retrieval.

A good Digital Asset Management tool

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall the experience has been positive. Bynder works as we expected and we have no issues with it so far.

Pros:

Easy to upload new assets and categorize them. Easy to find and download them and to create variations from the original assets, as well as download in different formats.

Cons:

The template features are quite limited. Granted this is a DAM tool not a creative tool, so it's understandable the template feature wouldn't be their core strenght. But when compared to other tools that can also do to that, Bynder lags behind.

Our experience with Bynder

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: The aim was to have an overarching online solution where we can collect all of our assts. The quick access and the user-friendliness of the interface are an advantage here. Bynder is easy to understand, making it the ideal solution for the whole company to access media. We were particularly impressed by the onboarding process with [sensitive content hidden] Initially we had difficulties with the taxonomy. Both of them supported us in every point and stood by our side competently. Thanks for that from the whole team!

Pros:

Bynder is easy to use and easy understand. For me as a designer, the connection to the Adobe programs is of great advantage.

Cons:

Sometimes the change to the taxonomy is difficult to implement if you haven't dealt with it that much.

Straightforward and Organized Remote Working and Business Integration Tool

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Our whole marketing, social, and graphics teams can seamlessly exchange these files thanks to Bynder, which also helps us manage our photo library and other assets. Sharing your documents with outside services can feel less secure when you work with a platform like Microsoft. We get an additional degree of security from Bynder. We can be sure we are always working with final assets thanks to Bynder.

Pros:

The taxonomy system and the dashboard page really amazed me because Bynder has basically thought of everything. The derivatives feature of Bynder is something else I adore; it takes SUCH a massive burden off my shoulders that the system can automatically crop socially ready assets for me. Without the requirement for a VPN connection, all employees may discover work and have immediate access to our resources. Our productivity and file management both significantly enhance thanks to Bynder. Although setting up a DAM system can be frightening, the Bynder team has a great process that lets us do it quickly and without much difficulty.

Cons:

I wish I had had more time to spend during onboarding on a few modules. Although Taxonomy is really important, we spent a lot of time discussing it, therefore I wish we had spent a bit more time discussing some of the other elements. I want to Bynder had some organisational system to more closely resemble how each of us uses our PCs, hard discs, etc. I would like to see more pre-built API connectors and less expensive Adobe plug-ins. Another benefit would be facial recognition.

Bynder is still the leader in DAM and creative management

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Bynder has cut the time it takes us to create and share assets by hundreds of hours a year. It has saved our creative team tonnes of work when creating new asset variants.

Pros:

Finding the right assets and easily sharing them with both our internal and external stakeholders is a breeze. The user interface is super easy to use.

Cons:

Nothing I can think of - maybe a few bits around the waiting room functionality can be improved.

Highly versatile interface and GREAT product!

5.0 8 years ago

Comments: We have pushed BrandConnect "to the limit" a few times, and have experienced nothing but positive customer service and a "what can we do to make this happen?" attitude from the WebDAM team. They continue to evolve the interface so that it is becoming a fully-customizable portal, which is adaptable for different client needs. Dynamic Templates are the perfect way to allow users to customize marketing collateral, while still maintaining the approved messaging and Brand attributes we need, as well as Legal and regulatory requirements. Users have easy, organized access to all approved materials, and can customize and download from anywhere at any time - on their schedules! This has been a game-changer for us as a marketing tool and I look forward to leveraging all the enhancements they have on this year's roadmap. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars for features only because these have not yet been released but the fact that they are working on the updates and that this product will soon surpass all our expectations is AWESOME!

Pros:

Versatility, all the main features we need

Cons:

It isn't COMPLETELY customizable yet, but it is on the roadmap so that isn't even really a valid "con" - I had to search for one, because I love this platform and this vendor.

Built For Sucess

5.0 8 years ago

Comments: Bynder is a great tool - since it is built to your specific needs, there is a lot of thought that goes into the up front to ensure it's success and user-friendly. Bynder's DAM module empowers our marketers to be able to find things on their own, see the brand guidelines, and know what is already "brand approved" in one place. By having featured collections, we can present new and interesting materials that others may not know about in an easy to find way that gets the new assets in our stakeholders hands more quickly than ever before. Bynder's Workflow module is intuitive and easy it is for our stakeholders and legal teams to review, annotate and provide feedback in a timely manner to our creative team. It has greatly improved our communication and efficiency working on projects.

Pros:

With one central location for people to find files, guidelines, images and inquire about projects, we are much more efficient in providing people what they need, and ensuring brand compliance. Having Collections and the file send feature is extremely helpful. We also use workflfow, so Bynder collectively allows us to be nimble in our creative development and asset management.

Cons:

I wish the workflow tool integrated better with the DAM.

Easy and capable Digital Asset Management tool

5.0 7 years ago

Comments: Continuous improvement. it's replaced Evernote and Dropbox for my digital asset management.

Pros:

For years I've struggle with a huge Evernote trove of assets or multiple Dropbox folders. Bynder has replaced all that. Very clean database. Just the right amount of categories and tags to provide organization without requiring an extensive dictionary. And Thumbnails that are big enough to see and take action against. Also, you can share files with colleagues and customers very easily.

Cons:

There's nothing I actually dislike... perhaps I'd like better frontpage control over which categories are displayed by default. No bigee.

WebDAM - A Bynder Product

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Having been a WebDAM user for the past 5+ years, we have really relied on the software for all of our digital asset needs for our marketing department and for the entire organization.

Pros:

We were early adopters to onboard WebDAM and the solution has met our need. It allows us to organize, tag, download, save lightboxes for projects, search, expire old photos with ease. The pricing is aligned with their competitors so it's a competitive software solution for anyone to explore!

Cons:

For us, they are only minor - being able to embed metadata within the photo through WebDAM and integrated plug-ins for Adobe CC. Not a deal breaker but certainly would help!

It Does the Job

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: We use Bynder to store all of our completed work, but that doesn't happen as much as we'd like because it takes a long time to upload each asset.

Pros:

I like that Bynder is our one-stop-shop for all our digital assets. I also like how easy it is to log in to Bynder and instantly see what fellow coworkers are designing. It's a great place for inspiration that's on-brand because it was created by other designers in our company.

Cons:

The interface is very clunky and it can be difficult to find what I'm looking for. It also takes so long to upload even a single asset that many designers forgo uploading their finished work to Bynder.

Best in class Digital Asset Management

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

Bynder has been a critical tool for our team when it comes to managing our assets and easily finding the content and assets we need. The ease of use is unlike any other tool we've used and what used to take multiple emails and messages now takes a few clicks. The taxonomy and metadata setup and day-to-day use is straightforward and everyone on our team knows how to use the tool with minimal training and setup. We have been able to centralise all our existing content in one central place and have robust access controls in place for external stakeholders, something that is absolutely critical for our businesses. We no longer have to worry about the wrong files being shared with the wrong people - a real god-send.

Cons:

Nothing of note I can think of - wish we had implemented Bynder earlier.

State DMO Review for Webdam

3.0 6 years ago

Comments: Bynder's acquisition of Webdam has seemed mostly smooth to us as the end user.

Pros:

Excellent customer service. Prior to his departure, Rep was our CSM and he was great to work with.

Cons:

Easy place-it, easy find-it.

4.0 8 years ago

Comments: WebDam is very friendly user. We have a multitude of users from various groups with different needs and capabilities. WebDam allows us to put security in place so we do not share our intellectual properties with just everyone.

Pros:

Drag and drop to upload assets

Cons:

The light box is cumbersome. The assets needs to stay in there until they are downloaded from the people we share with but WebDam wont alert us when the files are actually downloaded by the end user.

Bynder Response

Thanks Brigitte! Glad to see Webdam is helping you keep your content secure. Regarding your feedback on lightboxes, have you tried watching those particular assets or checking the download reports? If neither accommodate to your workflows, contact your CSM for additional help.

The best DAM for large and growing companies to scale

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: - creating assets for demand generation campaigns
- creating on brand videos and assets
- managing our massive image bank

Pros:

- great for sharing large files or multiple files at once (to teams, agencies, mgmt) - Bynder saved a lot of time by sharing large files in just a minute or two - comes with built in video production product that is hands down the tool we use most (other than DAM) - great support and onboarding team that answers all questions asap

Cons:

The search functionality can be difficult to use at times with too many filters Takes some time to learn the platform for new employees that didnt get onboarded Very reliant on the admin to keep the DAM organized and standardized

Still the number one DAM out there

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Having all our content in one place has saved us so much time trying to find the right asset and sending it to users and clients. The Digital Brand Templates modules has saved our designers hundreds of hours in making small changes to copy, sizing and for localisations. The stunning user interface also means that adoption has been great and everyone is happy to use the tool daily.

Pros:

Phenomenal user interface and usability and very flexible content creation tools and integrations make Bynder the best DAM I have seen out there.

Learning and loving this DAM software

4.0 8 years ago

Comments: Our teams save time, energy, and frustration on a daily basis.

Pros:

We love WebDAM's ability to organize and display our marketing team's assets. They are searchable and there are so many flexible options for downloading, sharing, and collaborating. WebDAM is more flexible to our needs than I ever expected it would be.

Cons:

There is a lot to learn to make this software work for your needs, but anyone who has served as an admin for this should expect that. The Brand Portal is awesome but more difficult to implement. I wish there was a bit more support around that.
