Fantastic User Friendly Program

Comments: Auctria is a terrific product, and I recommend it to all of my clients and colleagues. It is a great value for the money, easy to use, and has incredible functionality.

Pros:

Auctria is very intuitive, and so much easier to use than other nonprofit event softwares on the market. The database function is straight-forward and doesn't have too many layers to it, so data entry is really fast. The website, ticket sales component, donor/guest information, and night of event entry all sync together really well. It takes less than 5 minutes to train volunteers on guest registration, and the materials are quality. Any time that I have had an issue, which hasn't been often, Auctria will get back to me quickly with a solution.

Cons:

The only thing I would change would be to make the display sheets a little more dynamic, so they could be individually altered. Perhaps if there were an option to download them as a Word file, it would make it easier to adjust text sizing, photo sizing, etc. Also, it would be great if Auctria had a mobile bidding component.

Powerful fundraising tool

Comments: Overall experience has been very positive. It is not the most admin friendly back end, but the library of videos and customer service are excellent.

Pros:

The ability to deliver an online auction, as well as sell event tickets, is second to none. It has a broad range of customization tools. The end user experience is simple and well delivered.

Cons:

The website editor is fairly difficult to learn. And the back end customization tools, while powerful, are almost overwhelming. I also feel the credit card processing fees are a bit too costly.

Good enough for who it's for

Comments: I can't say I'd recommend it unless you were really strapped for options and willing to put in the hours it takes to get proficient with this software. It really shouldn't be this hard but there you are.

Pros:

It will function. The ability to sell tickets, manage auctions, and create websites is in there...somewhere. It's not a well thought out product but it will get the job done...sort of.

Cons:

Where to begin. There is a power of confusion to the user interface that I have not seen since Windows ME. It's like they built the system and people who were very versed in the design approved it but then every time a user complained about not being able to find something they decided a bright primary color was the solution to terrible design organization. USER TESTING is the phrase you'll want to be Googling and how to conduct it without bias. CARD SORT would also be an outstanding exercise in navigational layout. Honestly, the program does have some handy features but you've seemingly done your best to obfuscate them. It shouldn't take someone with a CFRE to navigate this software but I've watched someone with a CFRE use it and even they were befuddled. Your educational videos are a good start to trying to remedy unintuitive design but my they are hard to watch. Please normalize the volume for the sake of all who are forced to watch. Your product had potential but it certainly could benefit from some design and direction help. I know my review is probably just one out of millions but I write it in the vain hope that someone somewhere sits down to actually take these words to heart and makes a change for the better.

Very good overall

Comments: Overall, we like the system and will probably continue to use it. We learn more every year!

Pros:

We love being able to sell tickets and have those immediately linked to people's bidding paddles for the auction. Also being able to set up a customized site and online auction functionality has been so helpful. Even when there are things we can't figure out, support has usually been prompt and helpful.

Cons:

Auctria has such broad functionality, but it's not always the most user-friendly. A lot of things are not intuitive. A couple things we've struggled with: how to require credit cards for each guest; tickets getting set up as "for sale" instead of the "ticket" type; creating the auction catalog webpage; changing the order in which tickets on sale are displayed; sending donation receipts for winning bidders; getting locked out of editing the site even when no one else is logged in.

Auctria Fan

Comments: After using many different auction software programs I prefer Auctria hands down. It's easy to train volunteers how to use the program and whenever we have encountered a problem, Auctria has amazing customer service and troubleshooting. I actually just recommended them to an organization last night after using the software they had purchased. We encountered multiple problems all night and all of us were saying, "This would never happen with Auctria."

Pros:

Auctria's functionality makes it a very efficient and user friendly software program. We run multiple auctions a month and by far Auctria is the easiest program we use.

Cons:

I wish that on the dashboard there was a button for check in bidders so you don't have to start at bidders and then select check in bidders.

Auctria for non-profit

Comments: This was our second auction with auctria. It went really smooth and set up was easy once we learned all the settings.

Pros:

Easy to set up, good value for what we needed, ran itself once auction started

Cons:

Doesn’t automatically charge the winning bidders so if they don’t follow through we had to contact them. This was a minor problem. Not enough template design choices

Great Value for Making a Profit!

Pros:

It is very easy to maneuver and use. Great support as well!

Cons:

As we have been using this software for several years, I can't think of a single negative thing!

Easy platform to use

Comments: excellent, we will use it again for our next auction.

Pros:

the ease of designing the event site - it was pretty simple and as a graphic designer, all I had to do was ask for help and it was there. I also highly recommend taking the course that they offer, almost weekly, it was a game changer in being able to work with the platform.

Cons:

there were several of us working on the back end of the event site and the others didn't know all the stuff that needed to be done.

Poolesville Seniors Recommends Auctria's Online Auction Software

Comments: Auctria has transformed our auction. We are able to reach five times as many participants, more bidders and every year we produce more income. And we find that the option to donate if they decide not to bid is extremely lucrative.

Pros:

User friendly both from the administrative and bidder point of view.

Cons:

Online Help articles not always helpful and difficult to find solutions.

Auctria made our event run smoothly

Comments: We were very happy with our experience and will continue to use it for our next gala in April.

Pros:

Ability to text participants through out the event with important details, email bid winners with their statements, and accept payment before the event even ended. At a simple glance, we could view the dashboard and know how our tickets sales and sponsorships were going. Excellent customer support and I willingness to help us customize to make it work better for our event.

Cons:

When someone was refunded for their ticket, the tickets sold still showed up in the system which made keeping track of total tickets sold confusing at times.

In-person auction event

Robust and clear setupFlexibility of the platform to do pretty much anything we needed I think people bid more because they got notified when they were outbidDiscoverability of items that don't have bids and the ability to track what you've bid onReporting was great for checkout (we used Outstanding Accounts report in Bidders and Winning Bid Details)Ability to add live auction items to bidder's basket so they only had one charge

Cons:

The onboarding process felt like it frustrated some people with how many steps it took. The checkout process. It's clunky and not obvious and the killer is where people want to pay but then get hung up on where you have to AGAIN agree to terms of use. The credit card input screen is bad (needs to be turned to landscape to even enter information)The confusion about being logged in but not registered, then needing to confirm emailBidders needed to go to the "Home" screen to update their basket/totals. This was especially true for live auction winners.

Useful tool for project managing auctions

Comments: Positive experience. The depth of features meant that I learned a lot about not only Auctria but also how to run an auction.

Pros:

Easy to use. Provides a complete database for all managing and tracking all aspects of the project.

Cons:

The website development feature is great but does require a solid level of technical knowledge/skills on the part of the person working with it. Not easy for non-technical users.

Auctria Auction

Comments: The experience with Auctria was good - just unhappy about the expense of having to use Stripe especially since we are a non profit.

Pros:

Its flexibility and ease of use once set up- the customer support was amazing - they are on the spot to answer questions quickly

Cons:

having to use STRIPE was very expensive and the STRIPE reports are terrible. Makes transferring info to financial database difficult since STRIPE doesnt include auction information on what guest if paying for.

Events made easy

Comments: The support has been amazing. It has been an easy process so far.

Pros:

Auctria has one of the best reporting functions. It is easy to find the information that you need.

Cons:

Ticket purchasers had some problems updating their guests information from the ticket statement email but the support team was always there to help and answer questions.

Auctria works

Comments: Very positive! This was my first time using it for a fundraiser event and I think I’ll be much better prepared for our next years event using auctria.

Pros:

The website integration with sales and donations is incredible. I also loved the online auction catalog. Auctria is a bit complex to use, but once you get started it’s easier and easier to get the hang of. I love the batch credit card checkout process — made it super easy to collect outstanding balances in seconds!

Cons:

Some of the reports are a bit complicated to use

Great Software for an Auction

Comments: The experience was wonderful and the Launch team were invaluable.

Pros:

The software was wonderful in preparing for and managing our event. We especially valued the support we received through the "Launch" service. The Launch service was extremely helpful and the experts who supported us were very knowledgeable and prompt.

Cons:

Where we only use the software once a year for our annual auction, it was a bit difficult to remember where to go to navigate the software.

Great, comprehensive silent auction platform which costs much less than other competitor platforms

Comments: We used Auctria for a school silent auction of 160 items with approximately 60 bidders netting over $20k profits.

Pros:

Platform is intuitive, easy to use for listing auction items with photos / videos, creating displays, ticketing event / managing attendees, real-time app bidding, text messaging and emails to bidders, invoicing and payment processing. Auctria reference and help desk very responsive within one hour typically. Bidder participants were able to easily understand and feel comfortable entering bids into the app the same night of the auction.

Cons:

Opt-out options for credit card storage.

Assistance for Non-Profit Youth Sports Organization

Comments: It was fantastic. I am not a computer savvy individual, but was able to use the system with ease.

Pros:

We used the Auctria Launch services with our event only 10 days after we found Auctria. It was so very helpful. We were paired with an Auctria employee who walked us through the system and made sure we were all set. She also answered our many many questions and eased our concerns.

Cons:

We really did not have any issues that I could think of. One thing that may have been a little confusing for us was the donor tab and how to make changes, but we did figure it out on our own!

Major fundraiser event and the use of Auctria

Comments: The major feature that sold me on the software was the management of our auction from the items being auctioned, to the auction itself and the close-out of the auction. It allowed us to receive the revenue from our attendees and donors faster.

Pros:

The management of our event: Attendees to the event, auction items, auction sale and auction close-out.

Cons:

There were no features of the software that I didn't like.
