Wonderful experience with Hoxhunt learning journey

5.0 5 months ago

Pros:

Hoxhunt training is a part of our organization. In day to day world every day, we receive many spam, phishing, and malware in our inboxes. Hoxhunt training included great quality testing mail for its users to identify and earn badges. That not only generates learning interest but also provides broader knowledge and competition among members of the organization to see their rank & where they stand in the smart world. In a world full of cyber-attacks this is the most essential training.

Cons:

I am not a great fan of the calculation of the time taken for reporting a Hoxhunt training mail feature, because maybe someone is busy with other activities and might report once he/she has access to mail. In that case, their rank is going down as the time of reporting as soon as a mail is received also getting calculated.

Hoxhunt is worth!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Well overall, i would recomend Hoxhunt to every company that is dealing with a huge load of emails, as this is the best way to stay aware with not trusting mails.
Also the reward system of huxhunt is pretty motivating.

Pros:

It takes you out of the Routine, out of feeling safety and staying more allert.

Cons:

Well funny to say but, sometimes Hoxhunt was too good, i was not expecting to read a hoxhunt mail.

Alternatives Considered: Avira Antivirus for Small Business, Kasplo, Norton AntiVirus and Kaspien

Reasons for Switching to Hoxhunt: Well, we tested hoxhunt and it was so much better than any other Company dealing with the same system.

Review of Security Features

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Very good

Pros:

What I like about the software is that it is intuitive to the process in your everyday use of Outlook / emails. There is not alot of steps you need to make. See something, say something etc..

Cons:

Trickery - it's not necessarily bad, just that a couple times I feel like I was duped when either missing an email or deleted knowing it wasn't for me.

Protect your company by protecting yourself

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: It's very positive, I enjoy to use the product since about 5 years.

Pros:

Hoxhunt is a perfect security awareness increasing tool, sending users authentic-looking, but phishing emails, which require immediate actions. The most complicated thing is that emails content can be quite closer to your current situation (e.g. you will have a business trip in couple of days and suddenly receive hotel's cancellation, which was booked for you). So it's not that simple to correctly distinct what is true.

Cons:

Sometimes it can be so "real", so your blood pressure rises. "Your car on corporate parking has been scratched", "You need to pay an additional fee" and so forth.

It's useful and actully fun!

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Honestly I really liked it! Something new across the boring work inbox. Starting from the "usual" training phishing and scam emails - you can report them via hoxhunt and also get a micro (but useful) explanation about what have you just reported. Later - "spicy mode" - sometimes really believable and hard to detect. Also the gamification aspect is surprisingly fun. By reporting and completing micro trainings you unlock achievements and upgrade your "shield". It's a first time I saw such mandatory thing be quite enjoyable. Nice! :)

Pros:

Explanation of security and phishing Training spotting phishing and scam Fun Now I'm paranoid of every unusual email I receive

Cons:

Dashboard takes time to find, I always forget where it is Vacation mode still sends you emails sometimes

One small, but incredibly effective, email addon!

5.0 3 months ago

Pros:

I love how Hoxhunt gamifies the concept of phishing scams. It helps keep users aware of scams and does a great job showing users with only similar scores as you. I don't know all of the employees working at my company, but when I do see someone I know around my score, I screenshot it and send it to them. It makes for a good laugh and friendly competition in the workplace. We have even had moments in staff meetings laughing about how someone once again was excited to get an email, but ended up being hoxhunted.

Cons:

I don't have complaints about Hoxhunt. I have submitted feedback on aspects I would like to see differently, and the company actually has changed the aspects I wasn't a big fan of. So at this moment and time, I just enjoy using Hoxhunt.

HoxHunt Review

5.0 4 months ago

Pros:

What stands out about Hoxhunt is its ability to significantly enhance an organization's cybersecurity efforts. Through simulated phishing attacks and interactive training modules, it effectively raises awareness among employees about cyber threats. Hoxhunt's features not only help identify areas for improvement but also empower staff to recognize and respond to phishing attempts adeptly. Moreover, its functionality for reporting and mitigating spam emails adds an extra layer of security to safeguard the organization's digital assets. Overall, Hoxhunt's comprehensive approach makes it a valuable tool for bolstering cybersecurity preparedness and resilience.

Cons:

One common concern might be that while simulated phishing attacks are useful for training, they could also potentially induce stress or anxiety among employees if not handled sensitively.

Best phishing training I've ever had

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: As a neurodivergent person I can really recommend Hoxhunt as cyber-security awareness training. It works for me and I am satisfied. I can see the progress in recognizing potential threats and I can't get bored with it. Thank you!

Pros:

It's simple, engaging, real, regular and very user-friendly. I like the game-like graphics and very clear explanations of why such email is a scam.

Cons:

There is nothing I dislike about Hoxhunt... maybe the holiday mode is not always working properly (and it's important because you can easily loose points if you get a hoxhunt being out of office).

Pros and Cons of using Hoxhunt

5.0 4 months ago

Pros:

The platform is user-friendly, and offers really engaging and personalized training experiences. It’s overall a powerful tool for strengthening a company's cybersecurity posture by turning employees into a first line of defense against phishing and other social engineering attacks.

Cons:

What can come up as cons, is that with time, some of the emails coming in disguise from Hoxhunt for simulating phishing get unnoticed by the employee. Besides, if employees are exposed to phishing simulations too frequently, they might start recognizing the patterns of these simulations without really learning to apply the skills in real-world scenarios.

Use Hoxhunt, enjoy your mailbox.

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: My overall experience with Hoxhunt has been very positive. It has effectively enhanced my email security skills and awareness through its interactive approach. The platform is user-friendly and provides valuable insights into potential threats, making me feel more confident in managing email security.

Pros:

I like the interactive training and real-time phishing simulations that Hoxhunt provides. It makes learning about email security engaging and practical, significantly improving my awareness and ability to spot phishing attempts.

Cons:

The frequency of the training sessions can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming, especially during busy periods. A more flexible schedule for these sessions would be beneficial.

Hoxhunt - A practical tool to prepare people for real world threats

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Very good. Good training and awareness of potential threats out there and allows me to share those experiences with other non-users of the product (like my parents) on things to watch out for.

Pros:

The simulations of potential cyber threats are an excellent mechanism to help bring awareness to people regarding the options out there. I like the follow up learnings that take place thereafter working through the thought processes behind the threat, how it works and how it is meant to guide people towards making poor decisions. The practical tips on how to deal with these problems then make much more sense because you realise what they were trying to do.

Cons:

Product is fine to use but some of the threat mails are too obvious and need to be tailored better to try and simulate a threat. For example, I work for a company headquartered in Finland. And often the threats that come through are written in the Finnish language. However I am based in South Africa, so I immediately know if an email is a Hoxhunt threat purely because of the language used in the mail as opposed to testing a specific principle / risk / mode of attack.

Easy wat to understand and avoid security threats

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall I think it is fab, just annoyed that my previous employer never used this as it would make things easier and rather fun in spotting possible threat emails.

Pros:

It is easy to use, literally just the touch of a button. Due to the various training emails that are sent it really makes you understand the different ways in which security issues and threats can come about. This helps and makes you think when you get a lot of emails through to really watch out for those that look innocent enough but really could be something else. It is now a habit when I am not expecting something and it looks unusual or a bit too good to be true just to press the button for some assurance to check.

Cons:

To be honest there isn't anything I don't like about it. As it is so easy to use and incorporate into your daily working life, it doesn't cause any issues.

excellent training tool

5.0 5 months ago

Pros:

I like that this program trains us against threats, in a safe simulated environment. It moves emails that seem fishy to a different folder, so it makes you aware that something may be risky with it.

Cons:

Some of the training modules that pop up after reporting an email don't always seem relevant to the reported email. Maybe I just didn't understand what the training was for.

How to combine the useful with the pleasant

5.0 5 months ago

Pros:

The fact that it constantly keeps you on your toes and the "competition" with your colleagues in the ranking list.

Cons:

Sometimes, the Outlook plugin does not always work - it give an error (unexpected error) or I have to generate links to open Hoxhunt dashboard, because it (the plugin redirect) is not supported by all browsers.

My thoughts on the product

Comments: Its a useful tool that will make everyone more aware of the dangers that lie from people trying to breach

Pros:

That it educates the employees so they can identify issues and report them accordingly.

Cons:

That it doesnt suspect potential bad emails and we can possibly overlook them

eye opening!

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

A very simple to use product provided by my organisation - it has simulated many interesting and surprising phishing attempts which always keeps you thinking and on your toes

Cons:

none - originally the emails they sent to test you had to manually removed and you got stuck on the dashboard. However, these issues have been corrected in recent updates.

Pros:

Cons:

No cons to mention, Hoxhunt is working very well

Good education tool for employees

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

This is a nice tool to educate the employees how to stay away from spam & phishing attacks. Some mails are so convincing that if people are not careful, they will click on the risky links which can then in background wreak havoc on the system. The tool has a convenient interface & regular way for sending mails in a way which makes employee think if this mail is genuine or not. And while doing so the employee is gaining knowledge as well as the system is totally safe.

Cons:

Nothing annoying about this tool. I sometimes see some slowness while the dashboard opens up and takes us through the learnings but its tolerable.

Awareness boost for mail users

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: The software is only as good as the data/languages provided from the ones who set it up for a company.
Even Tieto Austria as a part of an English speaking company, more activities should be provided in German, as still most of the our mails are written in German. So it's easy for me to detect Hoxhunt messages, as I always get suspicious, when I receive English mails.

Pros:

The know how is provided step by step without getting the feeling that you actively learn something. The points, stars and achievements provide a "gaming" environment, with nice challenges.

Cons:

I really see no need to criticize the solution - using it is a kind of fun for me.

One of the BEST security awareness software!

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

One thing I absolutely love about Hoxhunt is the fact that when they send you their version of a phishing email (don't worry the emails they send are safe) they explain how the email is a scam once it has been reported. And as a cherry on top, they give you gold stars for every phishing email you catch, and it puts you on a leaderboard between you and your coworkers.

Cons:

The different types of Phishing are limited, all that needs to be improved is there has to be a bit more variety when it comes to what type of phishing email they send.
