Most Underrated Powerful Email Marketing Tool
Comments: Sendgrid is a powerful email marketing tool that offers superior services to its customers. Sendgrid is a must-have tool for start-ups, eCommerce businesses, freelancers and corporates. One thing that separates Sendgrid from other email marketing tools is their scalability once our list grows. The free version of Sendgrid allows you to send 100 emails every day.
Pros:
What I like most about Sendgrid is that most of the tools out there offer easy integration with Sendgrid. Some apps can even directly integrate with SendGrid without using automation software like Zapier.
Cons:
Sendgrid's UI is a bit confusing and it took some time to get used to the options. The email editor lacks certain features.
Alternatives Considered: ConvertKit, Moosend and Omnisend
Reasons for Choosing SendGrid: They are very expensive and for half the price I can get all the features on Sendgrid.
Switched From: Sendlane
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: Sendgrid offers more options and subscribers on the free plan than what they offer on their paid plan.

SendGrid is the best email marketing soultion for my business
Comments: I've been using SendGrid for years now and I love the email support. SendGrid has a great API and a bunch of different features. It's one of the best email services out there and is worth checking out if you're looking for an email solution. But I think they should take care of their spam filter feature.
Pros:
It has high email deliverability, a variety of templates, and real-time analytic capabilities. It's easy to integrate into different platforms and applications. We use Salesforce for our client management and it is easy to integrate SendGrid with salesforce to send emails on a particular event.
Cons:
Our marketing emails are being marked as spam mail because SendGrid's filters are not as effective as they should be. Setup SendGrid with Cloudflare is a little more manual, I think they could make it better.

Great for basic users
Comments: Overall, I am not satisfied with my experience with SendGrid and would not recommend it to others. The platform lacks the reliability, user-friendliness, and customer support that I have come to expect from a premium email marketing platform. There are certainly better options available that offer more value for the money.
Pros:
It is able to perform the basics of what I need for a reasonable price. However there is much to be done better for it to stay as the go-to Email Marketing and Transactional Email platform for me.
Cons:
One of the biggest issues I have with SendGrid is its reliability. Despite paying a premium for the platform, I have experienced a number of technical issues that have resulted in failed deliveries and undeliverable emails. This has been a major problem for my business and has led to lost opportunities and a decrease in my return on investment.Another major concern is the lack of customer support. When I have reached out to the support team for help, I have received slow and unhelpful responses. This has made it difficult for me to resolve the technical issues I've encountered and has added to my frustration with the platform.
Alternatives Considered: Sendinblue and Mailgun
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: Client was already using it.

A Highly Reliable Email Delivery Platform
Comments: Overall, I'm very pleased with SendGrid and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient, reliable email delivery platform. The user interface is easy to use and the delivery reliability is top-notch. The only downside is that the reporting and analytics features could be improved.
Pros:
I've been using SendGrid for a few months now to manage my website's email delivery, and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. The platform is incredibly reliable and I can always trust that my emails will be successfully sent. Additionally, the user interface is quite intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to customize and manage emails.
Cons:
The only downside I can think of is that the reporting and analytics features are a bit limited compared to other email delivery platforms. There are some useful metrics such as open rates and click-through rates, but I would like to see more options for customizing and analyzing data.

A good solution for marketers who are looking for an e-mailing solution
Comments: SendGrid is a powerful product for everyone, whether you're using Twilio's SendGrid SMS solution, or you're embedding email features into your WordPress site using APIs or just creating email campaigns here has it all.
Pros:
Ability to segment the audience to create several types of mailings, taking into account the characteristics of each group of the target audience + analytics in real time shows the results of mailings
Cons:
The reporting system could be better, but for me this is perfect.

At once it was king of email marketing
Pros:
Yes, at once it was a king of email marketing but after takeover by Twilio, the service becoming worst with my experience, as they do not change there shared IP's, though you complained to customer service but they also do not have anything help out, have used Sendgird around 5 years with three different account but now have stop using the service, as the result is zero
Cons:
The cons is that they failed to change the shared IP's on regular basis, because of which email comes to spam instead of Inbox

The go-to for email
Comments: Very powerful and overall simple to integrate, can often be used to send email within minutes of signing up.
Pros:
Sendgrid is very reliable and feature-full when it comes to sending emails, I mostly dealt with using them as a sort of relay for our email services, because of their high reputation in the field, you know your emails are going to go to & from, without issue.
Cons:
The documentation can be a bit lacking sometimes, often you need to rely on third party information, which isn't inherently bad, we are all used to googling.

Email marketing became easy.
Comments: I am using sendgrid from from past few months and overall it's a great platform for email marketing.
Pros:
Easy to add customer.Campaign creation in a snap.Adding customer to different groups with assigning different tag is amazing.
Cons:
If they can increase the no. of total mails. It will be great if sendgrid increases in the package,

Amazing Tool for Email Marketing
Pros:
We have been using this tool in integration with our CRM from last 4 years and it's just near perfect as it provides me with timely delivery of emailer and foremost their reports.
Cons:
I guess a bit tedious to use. Overall nothing like least about the software.

- Ease of use and documentation provided is also very well written- Ease of customization
Cons:
- More templates can be provided which can be a detrimental factor to determine the impact of the emails.

SendGrid
Comments: Sendgrid handles all my mailing campaigns and I have stuck with it from day one to date. I like the email deliverability and tracking metrics offered by SendGrid and will stick with it for the foreseeable future as everything works smoothly.
Pros:
It was very easy to integrate with my existing stack. SendGrid has really worked hard to make sure it's easy to use their software with other services out there. Most website builders by default ask you to integrate Sendgrid as your emailing service, and that was the case with my website builder. It was really easy for me to get started as all I had to do was add an API key in a provided input field. SendGrid did all the heavy lifting and I did not have to do any coding or even go through the API documentation(which by the way is very comprehensive ). You fill that that is the case in so many services that integrate with SendGrid, integration is light-work.
Cons:
It is a little expensive, especially when sending a tonne of emails out and having a lot of contacts. Your email totals low-key add up when you have multiple drip campaigns and transactional emails set up. If you have a small budget it's really difficult to get measurable success on SendGrid as I found out when I just started while having a very low budget. The best way to get the best out of SendGrid is with a substantial budget, and that's a bummer when starting out.
Alternatives Considered: Mailchimp and AWeber
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: I choose Sendgrid because it was really easy to set up with my stack of Bubble and Zapier without any code of using the API documentation.

A full suite of rich marketing power.
Comments: We send thousands of 2-factor authentication emails out monthly with Sengrid and hundreds of marketing emails out each month. The flexibility in passing large volume of email data to a sending partner allowed us to focus on developing the areas we needed and leaving email marketing to Sendgrid.
Pros:
Sendgrid have a full published API allowing for easy integration into any system you build. They have some super helpful guides online to get started and a whole host of customisable settings to ensure the product works for you.
Cons:
The 30 day reporting period is quite limited and I wish this was closer to 90 days or longer.
Alternatives Considered: Mailgun
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: Sendgrid have a stack of other features including SMS messages and contact management. For us, it felt like the better long term partnership.

This is a must-have.
Comments: They have been amazing, support is fast and helpfull. I don't remember having any downtime with them ever since I joined the service.
Pros:
Sendgrid has an awesome service for email marketing and transactional emails. It works 100% of the time, the support is amazing and it even gives you a free plan that will serve most people.
Cons:
The price for email marketing (contacts) is a bit too high for me. It could be packed with way more interesting features. Also the editor sucks and it never sends the mail like it shows on the screen. But I do not use this feature.

SendGrid Review 2021
Comments: Sendgrid helped us effectively manage our cold email outreach, supplying data in a very clear way for easy understanding. Sendgrid ensured we had an IP address and got our emails always delivered.
Pros:
The most impactful feature of SendGrid for our business is data analysis of using both numbers and graphs to paint a very clear picture of the project performance. It is a very powerful tool we use for sending and managing emails campaigns, especially for cold email for marketing.
Cons:
The most challenging part of using Sendgrid for us was the integration and setup process but the customer support and YouTube videos were very helpful.
Alternatives Considered: Mailshake
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: It was a better all-around package for what we were looking for with a tool like this.

More about deliverability and less about total email marketing solution defines sendgrid.
Comments: Sendgrid is great with delivering emails and is undisputed in transactional emails . Use it for its top notch deliverability, reporting and analytics as no other application even comes close to it in these areas but as a total email marketing platform; it lacks behind as it has very few campaign automation features, it is difficult to get used to and has a poor customer support. It is also slightly more expensive than others and falls in the middle of the lineup in terms of pricing.
Pros:
Deliverability, reporting and analytics and email validation are the areas where sendgrid is at the top. It even tells you if the email ids you are sending emails to are active or are misspelled or are disposable. It has excellent reporting features and lets you know the emails which bounced, got opened or got unsubscribed. Its email editor is good wherein you can edit existing templates using drag and drop features and you can also use tags for sending personalised emails.
Cons:
Campaign automation, segmentation of contact lists are severe drawbacks of this application. There is hardly anything you can automate in terms of automating your campaigns or automating when to send emails on certain action points.
Alternatives Considered: Sendinblue, Mailchimp and Mailjet
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: Because of its deliverability.

Nurul Aishah
Simplified email service
Pros:
Our business application uses Sendgrid for various purposes, including notification, authentication, and transactional data. We migrated from a competitor that was draining our bank accounts and causing a slew of problems. The cost was a good match for our budget and objectives, and the send grid was a perfect fit for us. They provide some handy online manuals to get you started, as well as a variety of configurable options to make sure the device is suitable for you.
Cons:
It requires greater adaptability and customization tools to be successful in the long run. I couldn't discover a method to adjust automatic track in UTMs; it can only be activated or deactivated, which isn't convenient. The integrating and installation procedure were the most challenging aspects of implementing Sendgrid for us. However, customer assistance and YouTube tutorials were beneficial.

If you're tight on the budget...
Comments: It did what we needed it to do, so that was good. We used it for over a year for monthly newsletters, but as soon as our marketing budget allowed it, we switched to MailChimp.
Pros:
It did work and it did send the email newsletters that we needed it to. Therefore, it wasn't a complete waste of money :D Compared to many other options for email marketing, SendGrid was one of the cheapest options (except for sending the newsletters manually through one's email) and that was one of the reasons why we went with it.
Cons:
It's got a lot of features, but they feel half-baked (I'm sorry, but they do.) For example, you can unsubscribe those whose emails have bounced or who unsubscribed. But in order to do that, you need to download those lists, then upload them to a special list you can call "unsubscribes" or whatever, and then, right after you've imported this list, you delete it - along with associated accounts. THIS deletes the people who bounced from your lists. Seriously?! The annoying thing was the styling within the newsletter. I am a perfectionist, so all text sizes and everything should be consistent. However, SendGrid kept changing the styles of my text and I had to choose "Normal" several times (even after copy-pasting the text from Notepad that doesn't support formatting AT ALL). And if you click on "Edit HTML" (which I often do because it's a fast way to clean away all the annoying tags), SendGrid would convert my block to HTML and would have an entirely different set of styles for it. Also, the support pages were written for someone who is native to this SendGrid thing and not a newbie. Despite doing email marketing for years, I had a hard time understanding what I need to do.

An affordable choice for transactional emails with one flaw
Comments: Overall, the experience was solid. Price and customer service were great. Unfortunately, the spam and email block issue was a deal breaker.
Pros:
The pricing is great. Easy to use API with lots of documentations. Their user interface is straightforward. The customer service has always been pretty quick to get back to me. It's a popular service with a lot of integrations available.
Cons:
I was a happy user of Sendgrid for a long time, but emails sent with the service always went to the spam folder for Microsoft email services (Outlook, Hotmail, MSN). This could never seem to get resolved, even with a dedicated IP that they offered. Then recently, Microsoft started blocking the emails. I found out this was because a spammer had used their service and got the shared IP blacklisted. They were unable to help me resolve it swiftly, so I had to leave the service, because we have a lot of people who use Microsoft email services.

Send Grid - Review
Comments: I am benefiting by using Send Grid for sending email alerts to the users of our applications via email for their preferred choices of information. The overall experience with Send Grid is great in technicalities and features however seeks improvement in response time by customer services.
Pros:
A free plan is the most attractive thing they offer. Their free plan is for life long tenure. It is easy to integrate the Send Grid with almost any software. It offers a choice to integrate using their API or connect through SMTP. Their dashboard and reports are very detailed.
Cons:
It seeks improvement in multiple areas like customer services, business intelligence and error messages. There user interface also confuses sometime.

Very simple
Pros:
Send massive mail with this service is very simple
Cons:
Maybe the price for thousands mail in a month is too expensive.
Alternatives Considered: Aruba Cloud Object Storage
Reasons for Choosing SendGrid: Mailjet is less expensive

HORRIBLE customer support
Comments: I was a happy customer until July 2020, when suddenly my account was locked "for compliance reasons". I am not a spammer, I only used Sendgrid to relay email to my customers (who want all the email I relay to them). When I was locked, and then summarily terminated, I had no recourse. I provided lots of evidence that I was not a spammer, but the compliance team did not speak with me at all. Customer support took 25 DAYS to respond to my initial ticket, then cut me off 6 days later (no warnings, no recourse, just shut down). What is worse is that my customers discovered that every email they had that had a link in it, had the link rewritten to be a Sendgrid redirect URL. And since they terminated my account, this meant that my customers could not click on those links any more, and their emails were being held hostage. I tried for 2 weeks to get in touch with them (trouble tickets, emails, and phone calls) and never got a reply to anything. This is a TERRIBLE company to do business with.
Pros:
It was easy to set up, and worked perfectly until it didn't; then, customer support was non-existent.
Cons:
Customer support does not answer emails. Compliance team does not speak with me, I could not determine what I had done wrong. They simply left me in the lurch, and held my email hostage.
Ryan
Long time customer with 15+ active accounts
Comments: SendGrid was the first to market and has grown more and more powerful over the years, while keeping pricing low and even free pending your needs. Excited to continue plugging it into my side projects and companies.
Pros:
I've used SendGrid for years. They have a 1-click "provision" feature inside the Heroku app store that starts at $0 /month until you hit profit-worthy volume (10k+ emails /month). The API for sending transactional emails is great, however I have not tried their email marketing feature. I'm such a big SendGrid fan, in fact, that I built a free SendGrid analytics tool that generates reports for other customers (+ myself) to send better transactional emails: https://lesstransactional.com.
Cons:
While building our free SendGrid analytics tool, it became apparent that the "Email Activity" API has a much lower rate limit (ie 10 requests per 5 minutes) than the regular sending APIs. This required us to make restrictive changes to the app at the last minute, and their support team was unwilling to increase the rate limit for our use case.
David
Great email service for offloading website form emails from web hosting services
Comments: SendGrid is a great solution if sending emails from your website is critical to your business. It gives you the functionality to inspect and see what emails are being sent and to secure your emails using various security standards (ie. SPF, DKIM, etc).
Pros:
Often web hosts have email limits for websites and your contact forms or orders from your site can be shut off without warning. Using SendGrid means you can control your email services from your website and see what emails are being sent and whether they are being delivered. The SendGrid console allows you to view what emails are bouncing and which aren't being delivered (ie. fake email addresses), etc. Also SendGrid support is really great as well and will assist with how to go about securing your email using Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM) (or their similarly named solution of this).
Cons:
With you could inspect the email bodies within the SendGrid console. Unfortunately you can only search on the email subject, dates, etc, but not the email bodies.

Deepa
SendGrid excellent SMTP provider.
Pros:
SendGrid was our SMTP provider for transactional emails. Using the APIs, the platform can be easily integrated with the backend system and the service can be used right away. Pricing is very attractive and can be integrated with various marketing automation platforms.
Cons:
Mails start reaching SPAM box after some time and there is no clear way to analyse how many email are reaching to inbox. Domain and Ip reputation cannot be tracked on this platform.
Ruth
We use SendGrid to send emails from our database. It does a fabulous job!
Comments: They consistently send out my emails and help us comply with the CAN-SPAM act. They help us make sure people are getting the emails they want but not the ones they don't. I can't imagine trying to manage our emails without them.
Pros:
It sends emails from our database. The set up for that was extremely easy, and as a non-profit, the pricing is extremely affordable. It allows us to see general statistics for our emails as well as monitor whether a specific recipient actually opened a specific email or clicked on it. It also notifies us if someone clicks spam or unsubscribes so we can remove them from our database. It's easy to monitor what is happening to our emails. When we were somehow blacklisted by AT&T, we were able to catch that quickly and get it resolved.
Cons:
SendGrid campaigns is a little difficult to work with. Also, their unsubscribe groups doesn't seem to work as well as I would like. It is difficult to know exactly what categories of email people are wanting to receive.
